United KingdomWhy USA and not UK?
We chose the US over the UK for a few reasons.. 1st here in the US house prices are a lot lower then the UK so we figured we could get starter here easier then there. 2nd My parents are more supportive then his. 3rd He isn't as close to his family as I am to mine. His parents told him to move here a few years ago where as my mum cries at the thought of me even moving an hour away.

I've looked into the process of moving to the UK I am unsure about with kids but I know that a UK spousal visa doesn't take very long to get and costs over 1000 and theres no interview or medical in most cases. there are certain income guidelines just like the US. but I don't know of any websites.

United Kingdomwhere can i find the current costs and fees?
QUOTE (Hannah+Vito @ Jul 16 2008, 08:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I've just been searching the usa embassy webite for london and i can't find the info i'm looking for. unsure.gif

the petiton is pending so i don't need to know about that and i found the info in the uscis website for aos fees.

what i want to know is what fees and costs i will need to pay after the petiton (touch wood) is approved?

i know iwill have to pay for a medical and police certificate which i thought i saw posted in another thread as being about £40 odd. i know that i will have to pay for vaccinations that i will nedd and so on,

but what about filling fees for my half of the paper work for the visa? do i have to pay anything? i guessing yes and what about delivery fees and anything else i'm unaware of?

could some please point to where i could find this information or give me an idea of what the answer is or both i would be very greatful.

thanks in advance Hannah

The fees between NOA2 and AOS...
Medical - £180 + vaccinations
Police Certificate - £35
Visa - $131
Delivery of the Visa - standard £14

I believe thats it..

United KingdomI simply can't believe this!
I just have one question... what exactly is a toxicology report? I mean if they find alcohol in his system there's no problem with that cause alcohol is legal with or without a DUI.. so they would have had to have a reason to test him for something else. I just don't understand what a toxicology report has to do with a DUI... can it show if he's a big time drinker/alcoholic or does it just show if there's alcohol in his system?

oh by the way... I forgot to wish you luck!! you're in my thoughts and prayers! Don't give up!

United KingdomI'm betting this has been asked a million-bajillion times. . .
My husband wasn't asked for any proof of ongoing relationship. and we also only talked through aim and skype. all I did was screen shot the chat/call log on skype. it wasn't ever needed but it made me feel a bit better.

Don't worry too much. London's interview is quite easy.

Good Luck!!

United KingdomOptions for watching ManU football live in the States?
download Sopcast ... it's free and carries all the games live. then you go on http://www.myp2p.eu/ and it gives you the channel you need.

United KingdomNotarized Letter of Intent
I believe the only time you need the letter of intent notarized is when your interview takes place more then 4 months from your NOA2. We didn't have a notarized letter of intent and we were fine. they didn't even ask for our letter of intent.

United KingdomU.S. Politics
I'm the USC here but my husband asked me why they tell the public how bad the other candidate is instead of telling the public what good they can do for America. Every advert here is each candidate putting each other down and using quotes out of context.

My husband is very annoyed with the government and politics here. He says that our media is so controlled compared England. He's always wanting world news and here we just don't have it like England. He's been having to listen to UK radio stations for the world news.
