Hey mama jew
Question : Has she been in school in Jamaica, because my baby is turning 5 so she went to the basic school from 3-5 years and has her diploma, her transcripts and a letter from the principal from basic school stating she is a pleasure and a joy and if they have any questions they can contact the school. My loco azzz forgot the shot records, so my BIL UPS it on Friday so it should be here this week early to register her.
Birth certificate
Does she have all the shots for immigration?
I need to check to see if thats all she needs for school here because Im not sure for MoyMoy. Hope so.

So we went shopping for her this weekend, went to my fav store Kohls and racked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!! got 40$ Kohls cash for the August 25-sept 2nd. Im going to buy her shoes with that!!!

So glad she is adjusting >>>>

Hello ladies. I have been off today. Hubby has been worrying me about what he is going to do about a rentl car when he is in JA next week. He waits until the last minute to prep for everything. I just don't understand it.

Question: What paperwork/documents will he need to get from his daughter's school in JA in order for her to start school here in the states? I have called the school board office time and time again, with no answer. Hubby was supposed to go up there last week, but forgot (of course).

I know she will need her shot record for sure. She is just turning 5 wednesday. She will be starting K

birth certificate of course < probably her records of what she did

Yea that's it. I just keep thinking he's too good to be true and it's just a matter of time before he turns out like every other guy I've had experience with. I need to learn to have more faith for sure. Thanks! Good luck with filing for your daughter and I hope she can come soon.

Dyam, how'd I forget your birthday??? :o :( :o

You are exactly right! Last night I started cross stitching again (it's been a while because I had fake nails and couldn't do it), well what do you know having to keep focused on what stitch to do where and in what color kept my mind occupied and I actually found myself taking some deep breathes as I was pulling the needle through the canvas. An idle mind is the devil for sure. I know that all too well. My mind loves to go on what I call negative fantasies where I can turn any little thing into my husband have a full out affair with 5 different women. :bonk:

The good thing is that I have gotten to the point that I realized I was going to drive vaughn away if I kept accusing him and asking questions about every minor thing he does. So after one especially crazy, questioning night, I vowed to him that I would no longer make it his problem and I know he's a good guy and it's my own isssue. I'm happy to report that, that was about 4 months ago and I have not bothered him at all. I'm just trying to figure out how I can not bother myself with it and enjoy the wonderful man I have. You are right on point though about keeping my mind busy.

You all are just the best!

I swear we have the same thoughts >>> girl i have had to turn back to reading>> i cross stitch too we have alot in common

As long as she pays him, it may be okay LOL

Cousin, hubby and I are doing really well. They LOVE that man at his job. They said the building hasn't been that clean in YEARS! He enjoys it alot. Wish the pay was a little better, but we are very thankful that he is employed with good benefits! We are starting to disagree less and less which means we are settling in comfortable with each other. Thursday is our 8 month anniversary! Where does the time fly? We are almost at the 1 year mark, so that's a good sign :)

I don't know, I think if a man is going to cheat, he is going to cheat. I just have to make sure Im protected because Im going to be the one hurting after it happens. Therefore, I try not to allow my thoughts to get the best of me. We are open with one another, pretty much....

Good afternoon everyone:

MsNaNa welcome to the yardie forum :)

Hi cousin DW... miss ya

Brooke:

All I can say is yes, keep communicating and try to calm down. Since you are acknowledging that the issue is within yourself, maybe you need to find things to keep yourself occupied.. take up meditation or yoga..The saying goes.. Idle minds are the work of the devil (or something like that) so as long as you stay busy you won't have to think about what he is
doing. You don't want to drive him away...

Hi Yardies ( I love this greeting "Come As You Are")
Anyway, thanks for all the condolences and kind words regarding my mom's passing. I have been numb until now and just want to give her a wonderful send off from her friends in the US and then send her back home to rest in peace. For those who have been through this any advice would be appreciated. I still have to comfort my daughter and keep her from getting scared. Since my mom died in her room, she refuses to go in there and we have switched her room for now and she seems to be getting better each day.
Thanks again!

As MRStee was say you may want to get your daughter grief counseling I had to for my daughter when my brother passed they have great groups that put them with peers who have been through similar situations and it helps them to know they aren't alone with the feeling they have

Ian and Melodee exchange nervous glances – each for different reasons. Ian is ashamed to admit that he got his a** kicked royally. He swore on his mother’s grave that Melodee would never find out that Delmar’s brother was responsible for his internal bleeding and broken ankle. Melodee is silently afraid that he will tell the doctor that she dashed him off his rental truck trying to get to another man. She does not want to see the inside of a prison cell.

Melodee: Excuse me Dr. missus. Does it matter how it happened? Just tell me what you are going to do to get my husband better.

Dr. Oliver: Calm down Mrs. Royale. I know little is making sense to either of you at this time. However, the more information we have the better. Now, as you know, your husband lost a lot of blood. Unfortunately, Jamaica does not have the best resources in our supply at the local blood banks. We normally ask relatives or friends to donate blood for their loved ones. Mrs. Royale, would you like to donate blood for your husband?

Ian: Uuu-oooo. Doctor. My wife is expecting our first child. I would prefer not to risk anything happening to our unborn son or daughter. I’m sure you can work around this as money is no object. I just want to get out of here. When can I leave?

Dr. Oliver: I see. However, I hate to inform you Mr. Royale there are some things that money can’t solve. If we don’t have compatible blood in our reserves, your money won’t help you. Actually, we could make a request to have blood flown in. But, that is very expensive, and you may not have that type of time to wait. I don’t want to frighten you unnecessarily. So, let’s get some tests done for a better picture of where we stand. Okay?

Ian: Doc I appreciate your attempts to provide adequate medical care. However, I would rather be flown back to the States. My health insurance will cover the expenses. Can you please arrange a Medi-Vac helicopter as soon as possible? I will make it worth your while…I assure you.

Melodee: Wh-what? Ian why are doing this? I can’t go with you. I don’t have papers. What about me and your baby? Are you still angry with me about Delmar and and and the truck?

this story is great im hooked on it

QUOTE (Dens @ Sep 26 2009, 09:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I met my baby while on vacation on my very first trip to Jamaica. It was my last night in Jamaica, and I decided to go into the little club at the resort. There was a band that was playing on this particular night that had not been playing the whole time I was there. I ended up going up to the bar for some water since it was so damn hot in that club. I recognized the drummer from the band and I said hi and he said hi. I grabbed my water and went back to the dance floor...all of a sudden the drummer grabs me and says "I think you two should meet" and it was the keyboard player. I remember him because he had on a gold #### suit and I was joking about him earlier in the night with some of my friends. We started talking and then my song came on. I grabbed him and we went out on the dance floor. We ended up shutting down the club. He asked for my number and he called me two later and its been a dream come true every since.

QUOTE (kerran @ Jun 4 2009, 06:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I like to think of my story has a fairytale ending. lol

I met my SO when i was only 9y-o. He had migrated a couple of months before i moved that that area and had come back for his great-great-grandmother's funeral. He took a liking to me (1990).

Every summer after that he came and we talked (or he talked and i stared and hissed my teeth when he asked a question). It's funny how he never asked me to be his girlfriend, i never said i would be we just were and everybody knew it (puppylove). lol.

Age 15 he came and then i didn't see him again until he was turning 18, i was 19 and had a 5 mths old daughter. I felt so disappointed in myself at the time and thought it would never be the same. We never had any contact other than when we saw each other so i had moved on.

He told me he was going to Aviation school to be a pilot. I gave up on us at that time so did he.

In '07 his cousin called me, just to say hi. He was there and i spoke to him but hust for a moment.

I hooked with is cousin on hi5, apparently one day she was going through her friends and he was there, the picture of a very beautiful girl caught his eye he was shocked to find out the fair maiden was me, me! lol

She sent me a message saying people want to talk to you, i was a little shocked but called anyways. Valentines day it was and everything fell rignt imto place. The moment we started talk we new we wanted to be together forever. We could feel it in our hearts, in our souls, in our bodies, we just new. It's like we were both missing a piece of our lives and found it.

It was overwhelming. We both found in each other what we were looking for.

I love him

He loves me.

I hope you'll are as happy as i am.

I basically have my story of how we met in my sig/story but to wrap it up I met him at Pier One the last day before my vacation was to be over. What's funny about my SO is that he is everything I’m not attracted to. He's darker than I like, shorter than I like and thinner than I like. See I'm a fluffy gyal so mi like mi men a likkle big so dat when we walk done the street I don’t look bigger than what I am but something about him has grabbed my heart and it wont let go...

... I also did something I have never done before right before I was about to leave I leaned in and kissed him. It was something bout his lips I just had to touch them because they looked so soft and sweet. I shocked us both!

Beautiful story. Thanks for sharing!

I also didn't have immediate physical attraction to my SO. I generally like my men dark, tall, and thick (for the same reason you stated above). Steven's height is fine, but he's SOOOO thin and he's bright skinned. Good thing we didn't go with just what our eyes could see. This man is THE most beautiful man on the inside. And he cleans up nicely on the outside, too!
[attachment=10009:Steven_GameOver.jpg]

I agree with u both, I felt the same at first. Sometimes we have a particular type we like but then our SO's came along and totally changed that.....they
showed us wat LOVE is all about!

I think sometimes we really don't know what we want.

THIS IS SO TRUE

I met my SO while he was working in my community as the lifeguard ..The day we met i was doing laundry and i kept walking past the pool i struck up a conversation with him. I wanted to learn as much about him as i could as the summer progressed we got closer and closer ... He was always hanging at my house and i was always at the pool. as the end of his time and in Virginia came to a end i was feeling terrible cause i knew i would miss him sooo much . He returned to Maryland to finish out the season as the pools in VA were closed... I knew i was in love when i drove 4 hrs to see him for a short period of time . We talked on the phone everyday... Then he returned to Jamaica my heart was broken. At first we didn't get to talk much but as time went on we started talking more and more ofter not even caring that my phone phone bill was high... then in November he asked me to be his wife with the approval of my daughter and my parents... wich of course my kids and parents love him ... now here we are going through this whole K1 process.

QUOTE (Brijo @ Jun 16 2009, 12:41 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I love my wife so much...

She is here now, since May 3. She still struggles with not being able to work. She was a school principal, her dream job, and had to give all that up in coming here, and it is hard for her still, but she sure does take it all well. She has her moments when she feels down because of not working and losing her career, but she overcomes that.

She laughs, and that is music to my ears. I adore her. I love her with all my heart and soul. She is sleeping right now...I work late. She was sleeping on the couch downstairs when I came home, but she woke up and came upstairs as I was putting the clean, washed sheets on the bed. I just watched her sleep for awhile. I got off work early tonight, so am awake, and will get some things done here. But it is the most wonderful feeling to know she is just in the bedroom, and I will be able to go there when ready, and cuddle up to her and hold her and breath in the beautiful smell of her hair and fall asleep with her in my arms.

I would have waited any number of years for her... I adore her.

This is so sweet .

Hi everyone, I am Andria and I just joined visa journey. I really need some support. My husband is filing for me to come to the US to live with him and it seems as if the papers will reach the Jamaican embassy soon. I am so anxious and nervous about this visa interview. First of all I need to know all the documents that you think they will need and as much questions you know, that you think, they will ask me. I also have a major problem my mom did not know her correct name until she was 31 years old by that time all her kids were already born and her name that she knew growing up is on all our birth certificates. I want to know how much of a problem this is and how much of a negative impact this will have on the visa interview? I am awaiting your response. Thank you
