K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	yay, a new thing with me..	Hey dip_sticks, we got touched on April 11 (Friday) and April 13 (Sunday) on the USCIS website.. did you ? I wonder if I got put back on the official "list" again... have you tried contacting more people about your case? Yes, we got transferred to the local office November 2007, then I torpedoed them on the telephone asking where my case was.. the local office (on Dec 26) said it was at the NBC (National Benefits Center), while the CSC (website) said they transferred to local office.. so they transferred my case back to the local office for a local office interview.. have you got to that part yet? keep complaining until you do.. now I got touched last Friday and yesterday on the website with a new message... "pending standard processing at a USCIS office" - not "transferred to LOS ANGELES office" anymore.. I see that a couple of other people have also been touched Friday and Sunday.. so hopefully it will mean something good for us.. good luck on your journey too.. keep pressuring those people and fax them everyday.. I'm talking about at least 30-40 people and fax them everyday for a week.. you will definitely hear some answers.. also try looking for FOIA too (Freedom of Information Act).. I had to make 7 calls last week to bother them enough to get another service request.. Thanks everyone for your support!! I hope that my case can get approved soon =0 seems like the NVC / Consulate trip is about 2-3 months, then you would get the interview?? The status changed on the WEBSITE today for my I-129F... last updated on website at 4/11/2008.. also received email on my phone.. Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred. The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. To receive e-mail updates, follow the link below to register. THIS IS DIFFERERNT FROM THE ORIGINAL I RECEIVED.. I will do some more analysis on if it is good or not.. Originally (my I-130 still has this), it says: Current Status: This case has been sent to our local office for processing. My Analysis : If it continues to be touched next week, then everything is good.. if it is like last time and only touched once (and not again next week) then I'm calling again and they are just updating because they don't want to look at it.. but I'm going to make them look at it.. .. there is something different in the 2nd message.. hopefully it is good... but I would have to find some more info on this.. Right now, China isn't too highly regarded in USCIS (with all the fake marriages coming out) and the arrests of many people dealing with fake marriages recently in the US.. I hope that you can get approved soon.. at least some of us can get our spouses over here.. like my signature says, if I don't get it by December 20, then I move back to be with her.. I'm going to consultation today to hire an immigration lawyer (or a team) to help make a decision for my case.. yeah, so I'm really jealous of the Adjustment of Status people.. they can still see their spouse everyday.. I even told USCIS if it happens that way I don't care if they take 5 years to do Adjustment, as long as we can be together.. But, I was told friday for our RFE it was on the officials desk who reviewed our applications earlier and if they made it to work we should see our approvals. "if" they made it to work? so people from USCIS aren't even going to work?? wow... I wonder if this should apply to when we pay taxes too... I hear some are as long as 1 year's time? ughhhh... that makes me shudder (much more than a scary movie).. I still don't get why some people get processed much faster (I see some people from CSC who are May filers and have been approved)... Does the country also have something to do with it? .. China isn't one of the most "trusted" countries around.. but give us a break.. If they don't trust us, then the US shouldn't even invest in China.. My Honey, I'm not sure how long your (and mine) security checks will be.. I really haven't seen much of this stuff on Visajourney yet... I do see AP (Administrative checks).. but those are after you get approved... I think that the "checks" done before the approval are for the petitioner... the "checks" done after approval are for the petitionee (maybe that's not the word).. (with the name of change of previously being married and divorced)... are they doing a "security check" on you too (like me)?? Oh no, both are first marriages for us.. no divorce before here (or on her side)... =) I just hope I don't get a RFE.. that would really suck.. if I do, that would be at least another 1 or 2 months before they start "resuming" the case.. Let's see how many are over their "180 day" limit.. this is so ridiculous... what kind of "security checks" are they doing on my application? It seems they are probably playing computers games, that's more like it.. They wouldn't even tell me who the "security check" is for (me or her)..
