K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Anyone over a year still waiting?	I visit her every half year.. last time was in May 2008 and my trips get longer and longer too... took a 2 1/2 weeks vacation this time.. and next time will probably be end of year (Thanksgiving or Christmas) ; plan about 3 1/2 weeks this time..	gogo	Male	China	2008-06-30 15:28:00

From what I see, that is the only way.. did you read up on my last infopass experience and the ####### they gave me? they said: 1) I filed wrong (I-130/I-129F), only suppose to file ONE.. I said the I-130 was for CR1/IR1 and I-129F was for K3 visa.. supervisor was laughing at me the whole time, like I didn't know what I was talking about.. 2) security guard came over when I got mad at them.. he continued to laugh and said "don't do that again".. security guard said "don't raise your voice or we will kick you out".. 3) they told me whenever you create a SR or congressman inquiry, they take your case out of the line and put it back at the end... for example, you are 2nd out of a line of 100, they take it out to reply back to the service request, and then they put it back at the end of the line again.. that's what both the officer (first person) and supervisor told me... 4) and a few other stuff... saying I was still under "additional processing" (even though I had letter from FBI stating no security checks on my case) 5) according to them (local office), they just received my case in May 2008... haha, I have the online case status showing they received it last November (November 2007, originally when they told me I had security checks).. the FBI letter I received in March 2008 was because of my letter to the president in January 2008... K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Anyone over a year still waiting?	haha, yes, I'm on a deadline (in my signature).. =) yeah, I'm using my last "hand" in the game now... the lawsuit (writ of mandamus).. the federal complaint has been sent in now and 30-60 days (hopefully) I will hear an answer.. well, that is still before my deadline I have set.. the only thing I would lose is my government job (haha, a lot easier way to make money than working in China).. that's the only thing I regret (not having a stable job for our future family).. but even this didn't work as an expedite reason for me.. even the "USCIS error" (over processing times) didn't work.. I guess they don't like people blaming them.. you should be able the right time to get approved now.. usually it takes 6-8 months (well, those special ones that get approved in less than 1 don't count).. I still don't know why they don't do things in order.. =( and for those who don't know about me, I did the congressmen , senators, ombudsman thing (sent to over 100+ people, even received FBI letter stating no security checks).. I read up on the news everyday and today I see this: http://www.latimes.c...0,3027303.story I also see lots of "immigration news" and it makes me sad to see no one cares... http://www.southcoas...6300305/-1/news all these people who think they have "rights", and are yet here illegally.. while people like us do it the right away and don't complain as much.. (they hold rallies for illegals, while we just 'complain' to our senators, congressmen).. I want my wife here now.. Everyone is not fair to me.. Even though I went back last month to visit her, it is just not the same.. I always tell her not to worry and that we will get approved soon.. have a wonderful family together and I can show her all the wonderful stuff in the world (for example, she hasn't seen snow before , that would be so wonderful)... yes, there are people who have never seen stuff we take for granted before.. to see her playing the snow and possibly making a snowball to throw at me.. that is the best feeling ever =) Edited by gogo, 30 June 2008 - 01:20 PM.	gogo	Male	China	2008-06-30 13:17:00
K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Airline Tickets	what do you mean "end of journey of the K3?" have you been approved yet.. sorry, your signature says you are still waiting to be approved.. after the approval, there should be at least 2-3 months waiting from the NVC (National Visa Center) to her consulate.. so you should be able to visit her again.. sorry, haha, just read your internal timeline.. congrats =) you are almost through.. well, just think of it this way.. you can make the money back for the lost trip of the airline ticket, but you cannot make back the time you lost with your wife... enjoy the time with your wife and don't worry about the ticket.. that's what I would do.. you will have her soon enough.. for me, I'll GIVE my BMW away if you can get my wife here in the next month.. that's how much I want her here.. Actually, I went to that site already (Thank you, John and Celia), and also emailed the government website about security checks for my wife to read about too.. so I feel better in that everyone is getting "checked".. it is just that my name happen to match against someone else.. It's just that I already work for the government as my occupation (and stated on my I-130/I-129F).. guess that really doesn't make a difference with them.. haha.. they want to do everything multiple times just for their enjoyment.. I looked it up, and it is background check based on the petitioner.. that is totally wrong.. are these "security checks" spot checks on people? Some people get it , some people don't?? Even people who applied after me got approved already (even from the same country -- China --)... "iray" congrats on your approval.. he applied after me though and didn't get any security checks.. I WORK FOR THE #%w)%#%)( GOVERNMENT ALREADY!!! What kind of security checks do you need, you FREAKING people?? I already had background checks done when I got the job.. also background (financial) checks when I apply for credit cards... I don't have a criminal background (but I will, if you guys don't hurry it up).. who cares if I get deported?? At least I will be with my wife =0 what is good about being a US Citizen compared to the H1B/H2B Temporary workers who aren't Citizens or Permanent Residents? What kind of background check are they doing (for me or for her)? I already work for the government, so I have my background checks done already how can you take 30 days just to do a check?.. I don't know what they are doing trying to prevent "lawful" US Citizens... yet illegal immigrants want their share of citizenship? They are lucky to even be in this country... that immigration thing is so stupid.. if it was me, all of them should be deported.. then you can reapply like the rest of us.. maybe we should be "unlawful" too.. then we will get approved sooner.. look at my timeline.. I sent the I-130 back on 4/13... they even received it on 4/16.. yet it takes them until 4/27 to enter into the system.. and then 5/29 just to send the NOA1... so I can apply the I-129F in June!! Maybe you should add 2 more months to each I-130 estimate.. either that or someone (USCIS) is slow in processing...
