3 months for me.. 1 month to do it myself.. I just hired them because I was doing a lawsuit beforehand.. and they actually helped me get the approval, so I'm sticking with them until the end.. star_smile.gif

thanks edp333.. I hope we get it all done just like you whistling.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif then it's time to celebrate all over again...

dingc08.. as to your question.. it seems all the "October" ones are gone.. that is why the info shown in the first post is only for November.. I really don't know why that is.. when I originally searched for it, I couldn't find any october info.. I wanted to find some "deliveries" that were already done so i can do my estimate better.. hopefully everything is all done for in October.. otherwise, there is no way to track that.. but I think you can try calling DOS (Dept of State) and ask an operator.. whistling.gif

haha, yeah it exists.. what did your NVC message say? Mine said they forwarded to Guangzhou on 1/14/2009.. I really hope it's not the 1/15/2009B package.. that is 52 pounds and the biggest one I have seen.. well, it is split over 3 packages, but the biggest one day I have seen is about 20 pounds.. as you can see from above..

for those people who track China, I figure out that the tracking info is "B" instead of "A"..

EXP 19 JAN 2009B instead of EXP 19 JAN 2009A...

also having the Tariff country (last one) as "CAN" wouldn't hurt either..

works a lot better good.gif

Still "CLEARANCE DELAY"

EXP 20 NOV 2008B 15 pounds
EXP 24 NOV 2008B 8 pounds
EXP 25 NOV 2008B 8 pounds
EXP 26 NOV 2008B 5 pounds

all are still under "clearance delay"... even though two months old.. it is because they are in a big package..

SHIPMENT CLEARED

EXP 10 NOV 2008B 1 pound
EXP 13 NOV 2008B 2 pounds
EXP 21 NOV 2008B 5 pounds

I'm tracking my case now, but our package was sent on January 14, 2009.. 52 pounds.. whoa.. from my research it seems the bigger packages have a lot longer wait in "Customs - Clearance Delay".. I have seen packages from November still in the delay and not go through.. nothing before November though, so hopefully all were done.. so it looks like 2 1/2 months to receive Packet 4 (appointment letter)... crying.gif crying.gif

Thanks.. and I wish everyone the best!! I don't see why they can't at least tell you why they are doing security checks.. Back when they transferred my case to the local office, their reason was for the security checks.. so I wrote a letter to the president (they forwarded to Dept of Justice, who forwarded to FBI).. FBI Records Management Chief Michael Cannon wrote back a letter stating I was not under security checks.. so I had reason to yell and shout at them after that.. mad.gif try to find out the reason why you are under checks.. this is stupid and it hurts a lot of people who are waiting.. mad.gif

that's what happened to me.. and I was even before you guys too.. my app got transferred to the local office for an interview.. and I brought my parents and everything.. they say everything looks good (2 minute interview and asked my parents questions).. and then delayed for another 7 months (local office interview was Feb 2008, then I did the lawsuit, and finally got approved September 2008).. crying.gif crying.gif NVC better approve my case (case complete), otherwise I'm going to do another lawsuit.. and do one against the Guangzhou Consulate too.. almost two years without my wife (since the start of applying, not overall)..

here you go.. more reading on security checks star_smile.gif

http://usaimmigratio...tiveReview.html

just a quick summary from there.....

"At National Visa Center (State Department) stage, a separate independent NCIC database check is done by in-house FBI staff in connection with information supplied in the DS-230. Based on results, NVC has the option to request full fingerprints to be taken at post. NVC checks can usually be completed in 24 hours. In some limited cases involving high-risk visa applicants meeting certain specific criteria, NVC also does Security Advisory Opinions (SOAs) before sending the file to Consular Post."

Thanks for your help, robor007! I will do some more research on what to bring and how to get the "single status" certificate..

For people who are marrying in China, this might help..

It talks about "Marriage Registeration in China"

Thanks,

Thank you  .. yes, my fiance (for now, but we are using K-3) mentioned for me to get a "single status" authentication form and "marriage registeration in China" form to fill out and get a "certificate" stating I am single so I can marry out of country.. not really sure on how to approach that (but I will need to have completed before March 2007 when I go back).. I thought that giving to a public notary would be sufficient.. but it needs 4 different certified people to read it (public notary, county clerk, secretary of state, and chinese consulate).. but that's ok.. I still have a few months to research on that..

Thanks,
Michael

yes sir,... I plan to get married in March 2007 (go back to China and get married - have her fill out the G-325A and give passport pictures - is that all I need from her?).. then when I come back I will start to apply I-130 (and later I-129F) in start of April 2007... so hopefully she can come April 2008.. nothing is set in stone.. it may take longer or shorter.. but estimated time..

Thanks for the reply:

For me (US Citizen), I'm sure to put the "in support of spouse's I-129F" or "in support of spouse's I-130" (4 for each I-129F, and I-130)

but my question is I'm not sure what to put for my wife (she is from China, I know this "from China" doesn't matter) but just to say she is out of country..

Do I put "Naturalization" for her or do I put "Status as Permanent Resident"? I'm still not sure about that part.. so according to robor007, I can just put "Other - Spouse's Visa" in all 16 forms (4 for me I-129F, 4 for me I-130, 4 for her I-129F, 4 for her I-130)? Do I need to mention the specific visa that I am applying for (like I stated above)??

I am just starting the journey with her.. I am preparing to get married next year (March 2007) and go back to marry her.. but I need to get a "single status" document here in US? I hear that I need to prove that I'm single and have to get 4 signatures (public notary, county clerk, secretary of state, and Chinese Consulate)... I am located in Los Angeles, California.

If you can confirm this, please do.

Thanks,
Michael

can someone please help me to fill out the bottom section for the G-325A? It says there are 3 options (Naturalization, Status As Permanent Resident, Other)?

Husband (Me) US Citizen : I think I should fill out "in support of spouse's 129F" and "in support of spouses's 130", is that right?

Wife (China) : "Naturalization"? or "Status As Permanent Resident"?

Thank you,

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-130 & I-129F Relationship Proof
Hi,

Thanks Lauren!! Those are some good ideas, especially the letter from a mutual friend.. I never thought of getting that one.. I see that the emails don't prove anything.. so which do you consider is the most important? I'm guessing for #1 (Passport, Airplane, Hotel).. for #3 Phone bills, most of the calls are initiated from me, is that ok? well, she called using Skype (VOIP - online), it has records because each minute costs $0.02, so I assume it is valid.. can anyone verify if Skype is ok? (Most of our phone records are based on Skype, with over 2,000 records so far).. I have used landline to call her house , but about once a week (since about 1-2 months ago).. maybe about 10-20 total.. so most of my "evidence" lies within Skype.. for Skype, I can print out monthly records (with phone numbers that I called)...

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the quick replies! Yes, I just wanted to be prepared as best as I can for the US and China Consulates.. it seems many people have problems (with not supporting enough evidence?) and getting RFEs.. I just want to give enough so that they can't complain (but they always do, haha  ) now they might complain I give them " too much " evidence.. thank you everyone for all your help :D I will take it step-by-step like everyone else and hopefully do a good job..

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-130 & I-129F Relationship Proof
Hi Everyone,

Thank you for helping me and answering my questions. I am just starting out on my journey and have some questions on the "relationship proof" for the I-129F and I-130. The "proof" actually is only for the interview at the consulate, right? (not given when you apply I-129F or I-130..) I have read some of the "proof" that you need to prove that you have a valid relationship.. Also, for the I-864 (Affadivit of Support), I would need 2-3 recent pay stubs and bank assets.. would giving them more help so they can't complain (maybe give 4-5?) Thanks.

So far, I have the following I can give them - I figure by giving them "double" or "triple" of what they want, they won't be able to complain and send RFE's (that's just my opinion, not sure):

1) Pictures

(How many do you usually need to show?) what would be the best pictures to get? pictures of me with her parents / family / and her in different places? (more people the better?)

2) Phone Records

(I call every week using my house phone to her house phone.. but most of the time I use Skype - my current records started from 11/05 - 10/06.. I call everyday  so about 200+ records each month.. meaning I have a year's worth of 200+ records (2000+ records so far?).. would it be more beneficial to spread them out (ex. get 11/05,12/05, 3/06, 4/06, 5/06, 11/06, 12/06, 3/07, 4/07 (when I start to apply).. ??

3) Packages + Cards

We have some packages (brown boxes) with custom forms still on them.. and also have different cards (Christmas, Birthday, Valentine's Day..)

4) Passport

I visited her in 05/05 - 08/05, 03/06 (about a week), and planning to go 03/07 - 1 week (get married), and 09/07 - 1 week to 2 weeks (wedding ceremony); these will show up on my passport , and future trips too, up until the interview.. so it should be enough?

Not sure of any more "proof" I can give.. can anyone give me any advice and the number of each "item" needed?

Thanks,
Michael

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-130 Preparation - Yellow Folder or Big package?
haha, that's true.. but my main concern was just the additional things that they want.. "proof of ongoing marriage"... the items needed will make the package super-big.. instead of just the I-130, G-325A, and passport photos, these things are small..

Sorry, I know I asked this before.. Thanks for responding to my other posts!! I'm not sure about that.. the government can get all picky.. they can just use any excuse to make a RFE (even if it is their fault, if they have too many applications to do this year, for example).. maybe I'm just making of them.. but I'm just not sure.. yes.. people said just to submit a few of the required items.. My thoughts are (they could be wrong) that if I submit "double" of what they require .. then they can't say anything bad.. because it is more than what other people have submitted.. If they want to take it to court, that's fine.. even better for me to win =)... but hopefully it doesn't come to that..

Thanks for letting me know  Seems like this is still new to everyone who apply for the I-130... just like you, we plan on getting married in March 2007.. so that doesn't leave much validity for the letters regarding my friends that know about my marriage.. so that's why I want to submit the other stuff I mentioned (marriage photos / videos and with at least 3 different background settings of other photos/people, phone records, emails, package slips, airline tickets and such..)

We plan to create a joint account in March 2007.. hopefully there will be at least 6 months before they actually start looking at my application, so that should help with the I-130 proof.. Also, I have phone records from my home to her home, and also from Skype (November 2005 - January 2007) so far.. plus pictures and other things.. so hopefully this will be enough..

Yes, but with the new rule (#7 of the I-130), now you have to prove that you have an "ongoing" relationship.. so meaning we now have to send a big package (with cards, emails, phone records, wedding photos, and other things).. don't we?? or can we just submit the I-130 like before? Originally, you just needed to send the I-130, G-325A, passport photos + marriage/divorce certificates.. now you have to send the other stuff, am I right??

I have completed the I-130 and G-325A (my 4 copies) so far.. I will get her G-325A ( 4 copies) and passport photos when I go back.. I have made a blue binder now consisting of cover letter, table of contents, and the necessary information all laid out.. Title page for each section =) Hopefully I will be prepared enough... but I am just worried about this new rule..

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone recommend a good lawyer in Southern California? I will apply for the I-130 in April 2007, but the new rule (under #7 , proof of ongoing relationship) has made me nervous on how to apply.. Hi, you probably submitted the I-130 before 1/31/07.. There has been some new changes for us "new" people waiting to apply.. Pretty much they want all the "stuff" that you need to present at the interview right away now.. I guess "proof" of ongoing marriage can also include the previous things (for example, I have Skype call logs from November 2005 - January 2007).. I'll print some of those out (and print out the rest for the interview).. also look for telephone records (landline to her home) and emails, IM chats, especially pictures (wedding/honeymoon + at least 3 different background settings (not including wedding) with other family members).. this should be more than enough.. If you can't get the "supporting" letters, that should be fine.. just have more proof from other stuff.. (hotels receipts, wedding ring receipt, and the such)...
