ChinaDHL Tracking

I think it just means they started working on it.. received by consulate officially (not just arrived at DHL warehouse).. my case got there Sep 24 (from Sep 9, that is the date on the email NVC sent me saying they delivered the case to Guangzhou..already a long time) and is just sitting there.. I'm just experimenting on what I think it means.. take a look at my signature for estimates..

basically they will start to work on it (2-3 weeks to send out appt letter + 1 month from letter to interview).. so add +1 1/2 months from the "estimate guangzhou received " date..

what does your tracking say? when was the date you receive in the letter from NVC stating they had sent it? (I'm basing it on that)..

Example for mine

NVC Letter Date : 9/9/13

Estimate time to "Receive" date : 38 days (as of today)

Estimated "Receive" date : Today (10/18) + 38 days => 11/25/13

11/25/13 + 45 days => 1/9/2014

and of course things will change everyday.. for every day that goes past, they should finish a day, right? hopefully that's true.. or maybe even faster..

so my original estimate went from 1/15/14 to 1/9/14 now.. still a long ways away ClockWatch2.gif

ChinaDHL Tracking

As of 10/16, oldest date is 7/29/13 - 42 days left (using 9/9 because that is how I'm inputting in the shipper reference , not the 9/24 received date)

As of 10/18, oldest date is 8/2/13 (EXP 02 AUG 2013A) - 38 days left

I'll keep adding on and posting until it comes to my date.. I need more data to get a more accurate date..

yeah, it should have been done by Halloween already...

but I was thinking last night too.. that the date could just be when they START working on the case, instead of finishing it by that date.. so they might just START to work on my case 11/27. meaning a month's later date for interview at least.. 12/27... two weeks (to send out appointment letter) + a month in between medical and interview.. so 1/15/14?? yikes.. I didn't know IR5s could take this long too..

I just had a thought.. could we not tell what documents the consulate is working on (as least the range).. because when I put Shipping References from May or July, they don't pop up (assuming they are done already, then they won't show up).. so I'll find out the oldest date they are working on now.. does my reasoning make sense?

EXP 29 JUL 2013A..

July 28 doesn't work, so that seems to be the oldest date DHL has for China..

so for me would be 9/9 - 7/29 would be 42 days.. + 10/16 => November 27, 2013... let's see how close I get with this experiment..

ok thanks rjd2013.. Yeah, I just did it this morning.. paid fees for both parents, and got the receipt confirmation.. I will check the ELIS (you should too) the day they come in at Port of Entry.. supposedly your account that your registered them in will have more updates online.. right now it is approved but waiting for review..

Add a '0' at the beginning of your A number...

example shown on summary sheet:

A12354655

would be

A012354655

I just sent in the emails again to passportstatus (yesterday didn't show anything); and only one of them got an answer back immediately... but I'm guessing both are the same status since from the beginning they were..

"The current status of your passport is Origination Scan."

According to my "passport status" post, that means they are ready to send out (waiting for courier) to come and pick up.. then delivery 2-3 days as what noahsmama said..

haha, Darnell, I made some brisket and it smells good and came right back to the same status.. rofl.gif

This is what i found on another website...

"The current status of your passport is In Transit To Post."
VFS/USTraveldocs is yet to deliver your passport to the Consulate. It is in between the USTraveldocs location and Consulate.

"The current status of your passport is Delivered To Post."
VFS/USTraveldocs has delivered your passport to the Consulate.

"The current status of your passport is Origination Scan."
US Consulate has filled in your Courier slip but is awaiting Courier Company to pick it / Courier Company is in the process of issuing an AWB/Reference code.

"The current status of your passport is In Transit From Post."
The passport with or without the visa is now being transported by courier to the pick up location that you specified at the time of creating the appointment. Please check the location of pickup on your US Consulate appointment invitation letter.

"The current status of your passport is Ready For Pickup."
It has arrived at the Pickup location. For some it may be the Facilitation Center.

"The current status of your passport is Picked Up."
Lets hope that it was you that picked it up.

rjd2013 or Darnell or anyone.. haha.. how do you track the passport through email? I saw a few postings back that Darnell posted you can track on EMS.. Do you get an email from them once the visa has been issued or sent out? As far as rjd2013's visa, it looks like it just been sent out (origination scan).. that looks like it hasn't been delivered yet (just sent out).. haha, I should know since I order packages all the time.. Thanks guys..

I'm going to have her parents call CITIC every day after the visa is "ready for pickup" or has been "issued" already.. from what I read, after it has been "issued", it should take about a week..

gogoMaleChina2013-12-09 14:59:00
ChinaPassport Tracking after approval

It went to AP right after the interview (less than 5 minutes).. I checked this post you guys made and it is helpful.. I know to contact the CITIC bank directly when things start changing.. Sometimes the website (CEAC and ustravels) isn't correct; CEAC should change to "ISSUED" and then wait a week it seems like, so I'm going to be checking ustravels instead.. once that changes to ready for pickup , then I'll let them go pick it up; thanks for your help, much appreciated..

Hey Darnell, can you please provide the number for the CGI Stanley for Guangzhou? We have a little situation on my side too..

our lame lawyer helped schedule our interview for us (I know.. why do I even need one?).. and messed up on her dad's passport number.. lucky I found out two days ago and read through the whole email once again.. so now we have to reschedule her date to December 9 instead.. and need to submit the "provide feedback" form in order to make a change to the passport number.. It's only been one day, but I want to get the change done as soon as possible.. if they interviewed tomorrow, they might not pass because the passport numbers don't match.. how stupid is that..

man, it takes a month after interview just to pick up the visa.. and we are still waiting for the appointment letter now too.. so at least 2 or 3 more months now... hopefully the appointment letter comes soon..

sorry.. my mistake... thanks Diana good.gif I keep referring to that as the Packet 3.. Packet 2.5 or whatever it is.. the I-864 and the DS-230.. is it both the same wait time for the K3 as well as the CR1 visas? I switched to the CR1 visa because everything was taking so long.. I hear that the CR1 visas take 2-6 months at NVC?? wacko.gif

National Visa Center (Dept of State)How long for NVC Case Complete?
Hi guys.. how long does it take to get "Case Complete" after I send in Packet 3? Our lawyer is slow, so we had to send it in yesterday.. I'm guessing probably 2-3 weeks.. so hopefully somewhere before Christmas.. that is not the best Christmas gift I want.. but good enough =) at least it was better than last year.. wacko.gif am I right on the estimate? Thanks star_smile.gif

National Visa Center (Dept of State)What kind of RFEs have you received?
Thanks NArocks good.gif ! Very much appreciated.. I'll look into that.. did you send in the DS-230 pretty late? I did that.. about a month after I paid (pretty much due to lawyer's errors on the forms.. both my wife and I had to go through each question)..

Hi Mononoke.. star_smile.gif yeah.. we sent both the DS-230 and I-864 in the same day.. 12/3 overnight (so they received it 12/4).. maybe they haven't read both of them yet.. but they are both in the same package.. how hard is it for them to look at both? wacko.gif

National Visa Center (Dept of State)What kind of RFEs have you received?
Hi guys,

what kind of RFEs have you received? I just called the automated service, and they said "they sent out a RFE for missing information/documents on 12/9/2008".. then I called using the operator service and told them that.. They said it had something to do with the DS-230 (Guangzhou, and it was her side of it).. I wrote an angry remark against my lawyer asking why they messed up my forms and got a RFE.. I didn't pay them to do that.. My lawyer knows I can do it myself too.. I am going to call them this morning to fix it.. mad.gif

I'm not sure of the exact time for Brazil.. some consulates take much longer (like mine, Guangzhou China takes about 4 months).. don't worry though.. that shouldn't be your time.. usually about a month's time I think.. Also, you can check other people from Brazil on Visajourney and see their timeline.. star_smile.gif

You really need to do some research first.. I see now why lots of people get tricked by the lawyers.. it's because you don't even know what you are applying for and how to apply.. take some time to read everything and understand.. lots of stuff in the guides (and they try to make it easier than looking up info by yourself).. good.gif
