You can also send a letter from your supervisor (and his or hers too) using the company letterhead.. that way it will be official as to your job (just that you were on sick leave for 3 months).. :thumbs: Also, for two people, as long as you make $19,000+ (I think from the poverty chart).. then you should be fine.. =)

not to promote it, but I use Skype.. but a local number ($29/year) and buy Skype minutes (2 cents minute, depends on place).. I can then call anytime (well when she's not sleeping) and anywhere (using home phone, cell phone, and other people's phones too).. so we can keep in touch everyday...

but to answer your question... I'm not waiting for approval.. I'm waiting for my baby to be in my arms again :blush:

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresk3s percentage of denial
CSC was supposed to help VSC and the others out on the K3... since VSC is moving so fast, why can't it help out it's "big brother" now?? CSC has a big ego thinking it can handle all the cases by itself.. :crying: I already lost a month to their stupid system sending out the NOA1 late.. I applied 4/13, but they "received" it via UPS Green Card on 4/16.. but entered into the system on 4/27 (USCIS website.. we received on this date, blah blah)... then I received the NOA1 for the I-130 on 5/29 , without any NOTICE DATE or RECEIVED DATE... empty fields... are they just stupid or just slow or both?? even my grandmother could move faster than this...

they are so slow it takes them an hour and a half to watch "Sixty Minutes. haha... that feels a bit better... but not really :(

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHiring a Lawyer for K3?
to answer your queston good.gif you should just read up on the guides here, and do it yourself.. You will be more up-to-date on everything that is going on and won't get tricked.. now, I can explain the I-130 and I-129F better probably than a lawyer.. the only thing that makes you probably want to hire one is "TIME".. if you don't have any... but it is still worth it to learn about the whole process yourself.. just like using a computer... I can tell you that you need an expensive graphics card to run IE (8800 GTX SLI, like what I have)... but that will be me cheating you out of money because you understand and have comptuer knowledge.. so it's the same thing here.. better to have more knowledge and not let anyone trick you.. just take a few hours and read through the steps needed to apply for I-130 and I-129F visas...

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresUSCIS is lazy!!!
thank you!!! good.gif someone agrees with me... whistling.gif whistling.gif not to bad or anything, but if this how the government does the immigration thing, then what about the terrorist thing? Why didn't they have security measures before 9/11, then there wouldn't have been one.. right now no one is attacking because the security level is high.. once it goes down, then they will do it again... Also, they shouldn't tell everyone that they are going to lower to yellow, lower to orange... that kind of stuff... that's like an invitation to the terrorists..

ranting33va.gif ranting33va.gif ranting33va.gif ranting33va.gif ranting33va.gif it takes them 1 month to print out NOA1 received letters... sad.gif I was hoping to get approved too... just like the March people... but it's not happening anytime soon... it's not our fault their stupid system went down... that's because they didn't have a backup plan (or any plan) for that matter... so where does all our extra fees go then?... I bet inside their pockets so they eat more Big Macs and get fatter and then not be able to approve any more apps... I may not know their process, but I bet you I can process faster than them... why don't they take some volunteers and we can do it ourselves? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to approve someone... let alone a high school degree or even college grad..

now their 'processing times' website is updated with "6 months" instead of the actual date for the I-129F... even that person who updates their website doesn't want to update it every month... mad.gif lazy people... can't even update a simple table... we already knew it was 6 months, stupid people.. you guys don't update the website in real-time anyway... so what's the point?? I want to get approved soon... I see people from Vermont who applied in May and June get approved and already have interview dates in September reading.gif ... what the heck is going on? at least balance the applications so that all of the people can benefit.. if VSC has something slow, then CSC should get the burden of helping them and vice versa... ranting33va.gif ranting33va.gif ranting33va.gif ranting33va.gif ranting33va.gif

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresthis is retarded!!!
hi trailmix,

actually sometimes student workers work harder than "regular employees"... since they are on "probation" time anyway for the first 6 months here, they (and new employees) tend to work very hard.. you didn't really have to apologize for USCIS being slow.. thank you anyway =) much appreciated... at least we can see each other on webcam when we can't see each other in person... =) I will be going back in October to be with her for 3 weeks... kicking.gif kicking.gif I really miss her, just like how you guys miss your loved ones too.. so we can get a little crazy now and then..

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresthis is retarded!!!
thanks trailmix good.gif actually, it's frustrating for all of us... not just me =) that's true, maybe student workers see all those "sensitive" data is a bad idea.. I'm wondering because I work for the government too, and we have student workers given access to fix computers and go into systems where we have member data (SSN, address, location)... maybe not as much as USCIS I would think... I guess I don't know how long to take for us.. they are almost done with March people for CSC (compared to June people for VSC), so that's good... lucky you are in VSC good.gif they usually are the fastest..

desert_fox, why don't you fill out your timeline to help everyone else before attacking others? I don't see you even helping out your fellow Visajourney members... being a "Diamond" member doesn't really help if you post a lot of BS and try to attack others... I just trying to post some ideas... volunteering might help if they are tight on money? They should find other ways to solve the problem if one way (the main way of getting funds) don't help out... they can still raise money in other ways... just like lots of different organizations/charities out there...
gogoMaleChina2007-09-12 15:22:00
K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresthis is retarded!!!
perfect,

you say "hire volunteers??? I dont know what this even means. You just dont pull someone off the streets to do this type of work....They prob go thru 6 months of training even before they start adjudicating a petition. The govt doesnt use volunteers.

student clubs??....you need to get real"

fine... they had more than 6 months time to expand their workforce.. even with people who help volunteer (6 months training), they should have more people and processing faster.. maybe "student clubs" was a bad phrase, but I mean extra people that they can find that can help... volunteer groups (I'm sure there are plenty that would like to help out)...
gogoMaleChina2007-09-12 15:14:00
K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresthis is retarded!!!
in a word.... INEFFICIENT... that is my say on it... they should do planning if they know the population will increase... expansion does take more money (then charge more, lots of K3 people are willing to pay more to have faster approval times)...

I wasn't complaining about my timeline... but for all the people that applied.. no need to get mad at me, perfect.. just throwing out ideas... I wasn't mad at you too, just mad at the inefficient system that they have... I (and everyone here) know they can do MUCH BETTER than this.. for example, system go down and they stop processing applications... they should have a backup for that and switch over right away... (RAID Mirroring system??).. or at least have real-time processing times... what is their 6 MONTHS time now? like my previous topic, I think that they are getting lazy with that timeline... I can put 5 YEARS there, and that means we can't contact them for 5 years? give me a break...

let's take a look at your approval date to interview date... 7 months.. you think we will get our visa in 7 months? I probably will get approved much later than that... so what are you talking about?

K1 VISA & MARRIAGE
17 February 2004 Sent I-129F petition CSC
15 July 2004 APPROVED!=147 days
3 September 2004 INTERVIEW IN LONDON SUCCESSFUL VISA APPROVED!

February 17 --> September 3 (less than 7 months)

they are also approving your K1 faster than K3... they are approving temporary workers and K1 the most, and putting us on the backend.. just because our applications are cheaper, and that it takes longer to process... which would you rather have, an application that takes 1 month to view or 1 week?

I'm just thinking that they can hire more student workers (if they want to save money compared to hiring full-time)... the students can help enter the data into the system... about being prepared.. they should have thought about expansion issues years ago... not everyone is planning "for the present" only... that is why so many Americans are in debt... if the government follows what an average American does, then we are in big trouble..

mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif is CSC trying to be slow on purpose? now the average time to get approved is 160 days for I-130 and 128 days for I-129F.. oh... I-129F is so much faster... I can't believe they won't hire volunteers to help with this... even student clubs can help with the entry and get some donation... are they just having a contest at CSC to see who has the biggest pile on their desk? Even I can do it much faster.. after all, it's just some data entry (didn't have to be data entry if they had a better system... like do it online)... I bet when they go "online", it will be much slower... because then they have to go find your records (instead of you sending it in)...yeah, what a great plan mad.gif

good luck kalina!! good.gif I hope that you get to NVC as soon as possible.. I see that after you get to NVC (and out of USCIS), everything goes much smoother... usually about 1 month to the interview time?? that would be awesome to have for you... you applied in February, so October (end of October) will be nice to have... so a total of 8 months time...
