K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresrelationship evidence for the interview (photographs)

OP, ask yourself:  Is it better to take everything that you have and not need it, or is it better to take less than that and be asked for what you don't have, possibly being put on 221g status and suffering the consequences of that?

Granted that family-based visa interviews in Poland are not known to be difficult, but never, ever underestimate the consular phase.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2 Next Steps

1.  Well before the interview phase, go atop any VJ page, click "Embassy Info" and "Reviews: Embassy," and study both the overall trends and the recent reviews for your consulate.  Pay closest attention to the worst stories.  Also search your regional VJ forum for relevant threads.

2.  Study ahead.  Because you're behind the power curve on knowing what's going to happen, work to catch up on learning about the next phases of the process.  After the consular interview (and, it's hoped, the granting of the visa) comes relocation to the U.S., marriage, compiling the AOS/EAD/AP packages (for example, have you allocated the funds for the Adjustment of Status process in advance?), removing conditions, and citizenship.

Fortunately, VJ has a smorgasbord of information on every phase.  Welcome to the forum.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow much chat history is enough before I file our I-129F?

The front loading differences between a country like the Netherlands/Norway, etc. are going to be different than Colombia.  It is best to ask in the country specific forum for good advice for that particular consulate.

I was going to say this.  Well-intended advice in this situation can be like apples and oranges.

OP, well before the interview phase, and optimally before filing the I-129F petition, go atop any VJ page, click "Embassy Info" and "Reviews: Embassy," and study both the overall trends and the recent reviews.  Pay closest attention to the worst stories.  Also search your regional VJ forum for relevant threads.

USCIS will not care about evidence of a bona fide relationship, but the embassy or consulate certainly will.  The consulate receives everything that you send to USCIS in the petition package.

You apparently have a short relationship history, in which event I wouldn't recommend taking any South American consulate lightly.  (Fortunately, you're not dealing with Ecuador.)  Front-load your I-129F petition with everything that you have that YOU want the Bogota consular officers to see.  Build up more for the interview.  "Time spent together in person" is always the best.  Ask yourself, "would this piece of evidence help to persuade a suspicious third party of the bona fide nature of my relationship?"

Do the homework and prepare accordingly.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE for not providing back copy of birth certificate?

It apparently depends on the USCIS adjudicator that you happen to get.  If you get the RFE, just be prepared to respond as rapidly as possible, for your own benefit.

The back of my birth certificate was blank.  As I recall, I included a blank page that said, "copy of reverse of birth certificate."

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTime to know each other

[voice of caution]

There's nothing like filing an I-129F petition after one visit, gaining USCIS's approval, making more visits afterwards, taking that extra evidence of a bona fide relationship to the interview, and finding out to your chagrin that the CO made up his mind to refuse the visa on the basis of the thin evidence that was in the I-129F petition package.

Except perhaps in the VWP countries and the Philippines, do not (do not!) take the consular phase for granted.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 Fiance Visa

For USCIS purposes, you have enough if you sent proof of having met in person during the last two years, and proof that you're both eligible and willing to marry.

Upon petition approval, USCIS sends your package to the consulate.  The consulate requires solid proof of a bona fide relationship.  The extra material that you sent should help.  Collect more to bring to the consular interview.

If USCIS should send you an RFE because of a further need that they have, respond to it with what they want, and you can include additional evidence of a bona fide relationship.  You can cover this with a note that says, "Please add this information to the petition file for the consulate officer's eyes" or similar.  Most people dread the prospect of an RFE, but RFEs are a golden opportunity to add material to your file to help convince the consul of the bona fide nature of your relationship.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTraveling to the U.S Virgin Islands

I personally wouldn't risk this at all, because there's too much chance for error.  Have your honeymoon within one (or more) of the 50 U.S. states, and take your VI trip after you have Advance Parole or (better) the green card.

If you ignore this advice and go to the VI regardless, be sure to take a duplicate of your marriage certificate with you.  In fact, if you travel or if you live in an area where CBP agents might be, it's prudent to keep this with you until you receive the green card.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProof of Ongoing relationship

USCIS will not care about this extra information, but the consulate will.  USCIS passes your petition package to the consulate.  It's presumed that you're talking about front-loading your petition package for this purpose.

Go atop any VJ page, click "Embassy Info" and "Reviews: Embassy," and study both the overall trends and the recent reviews for Kiev.  Pay closest attention to the worst stories.  Also search your regional VJ forum for relevant threads -- in this case Russia/Ukraine/Belarus.

Two posts have been removed for judgmental attacks on the OP instead of addressing her questions.  The next poster to add a similar comment will be thread-banned at minimum.

If AOS hasn't been approved she can withdraw the I864 if she acts quickly

This is the answer that applies.  OP, call USCIS as a priority to have an actual immigration officer (not just the call-screeners) update your file as to your intentions toward withdrawing the I-864.  Send certified letters to the appropriate Service Center and to your local office, stating that you withdraw the I-864 (with "withdrawal of I-864" on the outside of the envelope).  Set an InfoPass appointment so that you can hand a copy of the same letter to an immigration officer in person.

If the green card has been processed and it's too late, at least your intent and reasoning for withdrawal will be on file if the beneficiary later tries to remove conditions on the card.
