K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTravelling outside for Honeymoon before Adjustment of Status!

Thanks guys!! I will wait for my AP tho and look for another destination within the States!! :)

This is by far the safest plan.

Until you have your green card, keep a copy of your marriage certificate with you at all times.  We found that this was crucial when the wife traveled on AP, and when we encountered inland CBP checkpoints.

Unless USCIS has stated that the letter must be notarized, there's no need to get it notarized.  If the letter is written in the native language, someone (even you, if you're capable) can translate it.  The translator should include the translation certification -- search here for the verbiage and format.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNeeds advice with petition fiancé in Dominican Republic

Anyone else posting only in Spanish will have his/her post removed.  It's English-only in the upper forums.  At least provide an accompanying English translation.

In addition, a blanket statement of "You do not need a lawyer!" is irresponsible advice.  We have no way of knowing the OP's entire situation, or willingness, or time commitments, or abilities.  Yes, it's exciting to have a self-help resource like VJ; however, it's also true that some people absolutely need outside help.  We don't know what we don't know.  Please keep this in mind. :)

Do not (do not!) take the consular phase lightly or even consider being casual with it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShould these pictures be shown at K-1 interview?

Make sure that the photos aren't posted on a public medium.  Consulates have been known to conduct investigational research into visa applicants.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 Visa IMMIGRANT or NON IMMIGRANT

Correct.  The K-1 visa is a "hybrid" visa -- nonimmigrant with immigrant intent.  This is why the visa applicants are interviewed by the Immigrant Visa units in the consulates.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs it okay for me to fill out AOS for my grandma and she signs?

Ah -- "AOS" stands for Affidavit of Support.  Not sure how hard age might be looked at.  People fill out forms for other people's signatures all the time.  It's crucial that Grandma understands what she's signing when she signs it.

That's really interesting about the TWO copies of the G-325A. Never would have guessed. Perhaps the VSC employees are wallpapering their bathrooms with the spare ones. Save a tree, si man.

Dude, this is all fascinating stuff that will go far in quenching the thirst for knowledge, si man. Muchas gracias. It's imaginable that the VSC Director may even learn things from our questions that can improve service, or, more likely, lead to clarifications on the USCIS website.

For everyone's sake, I sure hope that he comes up with a list of "#######" consulates for us, grrr man.

it could be helpful to USCIS to clarify some of these things.
Si, man; just think of how much aggregate "hands on the files" time could be saved by the troops on the processing floor if some of the uncertainties are cleared up.

General note to future posters: There is no need to requote the entire original post when you respond, please.

many consulates do not accept new evidence when you go for your interview. So would you agree it's still best to overload your original packet with evidence, which they are forced to look at?
For the "#######" consulates, definitely. Offhand, one would doubt that Australia sinks to this level (check the Reviews for patterns or individual worst-case reports).
