yup,after the 3day sputum tests,he will be asked to go back the following day to find out about the smear result,and he will be told to call slec after 2mos,that's the standard waiting time.

hope slec wont call him within that period otherwise he'll be under medication for 6mos.

Hi! sputum test with culture will take like two months since they need to culture it. Mashado sila takot na magdadala tayo ng PTB sa US since it is already eradicated in 1st world countries eh samantalang sa atin it's very common. I hope it's nothing serious since the treatment for it will take almost 6 months plus you will spend money for the meds and you cannot skip on the meds since you might have a med-resistant PTB which is very hard to treat. So if it comes out positive (i do pray that it's not) just be religious with the taking the meds. Do not skip a day when taking meds. Good luck. Kinakabahan din ako sa medical since i know nga almost all filipinos carry PTB virus when checked. Good luck!

Once her husband didnt able to produce phlegm,he will be asked to do the same procedure,and if they didnt get the right thing,he will be asked to do it over again and will pay for it again.i dont think enezk and her husband would want to do that.anyway,those who will undergo the tests will be given procedures on how to do it right,i bet he'll be fine although it's hard especially if he dont have cough.

i was asked also to do the sputum tests last aug.i am now on my 8th wk of waiting.my interview schedule was supposed to be aug 27th but because of this,it has been cancelled and was told that SLEC will be the one to re-sched it.according to those who're already done with the culture and from those that i was able to talk to at slec,if your husband will not receive a call from them(SLEC) within the 2mos of waiting,he'll be cleared and will proceed with the vaccinations likewise with his interview.

i wish you good luck and i'll pray that he'll be ok.

NOPE!the truth is,after the 3day sputum tests,he will be asked to come back the next day to get the result of SMEAR and he will be given an instruction to wait for 2mos since the bacteria grows slower,he will be given a call slip though with the date and telephone number where he could call for the sputum follow up.he'll get the vaccines after he passed the 2mos of waiting.

good luck to your husband and i hope he wont get a call from slec during the 2mos waiting time.

i'll pray for him to pass the tests.God bless

He actually consulted his doctor,,even got another XTray, and it was just a remaining phlegm from his previous colds,

Hi guys,I got question My husband will be undergoing a sputum test on Nov 3,4,5, and most of the forums I read here eventhough the smear test and pulmunary exam comes out negative, the beneficiary has to wait still for 2 months for the culture result. Is there any way that my husband can still catch his interview on Nov 18 if the smear and pulmunary exam comes out negative,,anyone has an idea on how to make this thing work, we are getting paranoid already on thinking about this another 2 months waiting.

I am hoping that everything will comes out negative,,and they will still allow him to cathch up with his interview on nov 18.

I was kind of worried like you before.If you could just see the place where they do the sputum tests ohmy.gif ,that's why he needs to wear his mask all the time while inside SLEC's premises coz he wont know who's infected or not.he better take some vitamins too.

Dont worry too much now...you have to relax and be ready with your documents for the interview..I was once in your situation and I called SLEC one day earlier of my schedule to call Clark but I was told to call back on the said date for my result was not in his table yet. You will be scheduled the following day for the immunization then you will know your interview date and it took me 5 days from my immunization day for the interview. Good Luck

Yes I feel what you are feeling right now for I was in your case before.Just be ready with your documents for the interview. You will be guided by Clark what to do. Since 2 months has lapse from the medical exam she will go again for pregnancy test before they will give the immunization. Good Luck for the interview.

Usually, they require at least an hour before the given time for interview. But it would be better, if he will be there earlier.

YES. but you will need that later on the NVC Visa Process, not now. you still need to fill out the AoS. Secure employment records, IRS papers, pay stubs, etc. the form and its questions are a bit tricky, so read throughly. after this, another fee bill arrives. this time it will be for the IV application, amounting to 400USD. after paying, you will recieve another instruction letter from NVC on how to fill out the DS-230 (Immigrant Visa Application). YOUR HUSBAND NEEDS TO SIGN THIS FORM, but only part 1. send it will all civil documents with the photocopy of the geographic page of his PI passport. hmm, there maybe some things i miss, ask me later what needs to be clarified. i will search for specific infos later if you need them..

All depends on how fast you get the required necessary documents back to NVC.
Hopefully you already have his/your original NSO documents, copies of his passport and NBI clearance.
Plus the original DS 230 and DS 3032

Hi anesk, congratulations for the negative result of your husband and got his interview date. I have question for you, when your husband called SLEC on the 19th, did sir clark gave him the result that his negativer or he only knew it when he came there at SLEC? Hi Geren,,when he called, clark told him to come over whenever he is available,,then the next day my hubby went to SLEC then he got his immunizationand got his interview date then thats the time we knew everything went okey,, you should be alright with your results,,since it came this far and nobody had called you,,good luck n God bless..

Yea,....and that's what they said after T.I.P.'s and child smugglers had brought children over here to be adopted by families...illegally.

There is no such thing as privacy when it comes to immigrating to the U.S. and coming through the borders. We are in the War Against Terrorism and we cannot afford to be "private" on any alien matters. People got to understand that.

A friend petitioned for his wife and kids (kids are his) and when the petition reached the Embassy, they were told that NOW DNA testing is required for proof that kids belong to either parent. Personally this is something that I would refuse. The INA does not require DNA testing and until it was the law I would not participate. My reason is privacy concerns. It is an invasion of my privacy, my wifes privacy and our child(s) privacy to participate.

I'm one of those folks that dosen't trust the governmant and I would not allow them access to my families DNA.

The government treats those marrying and married to aliens as de facto second class citizens but this would be one indignity I simply would not subject myself or family to. I realize that on a practical matter many will be intimidated into submitting rather than spending years on AP but I am not one of those folks.

Your domicile should be the United States. You are going to be a Sponsor of your fiance/wife and a sponsor should have the US as domicile. Even if you dont reside there, you consider the philippines as a temporary residence and you eventually will go back to the States.

Domicile:

The final rule does provide in section 213a.2?1)(ii) a single exception, under which a sponsor who is not domiciled in the United States (i.e., cannot show his or her residence abroad has been only temporary) may submit a Form I-864. The sponsor may do so only if the sponsor establishes, by a preponderance of the evidence, that the sponsor will have established his or her domicile in the United States no later than the date of the intending immigrant's admission or adjustment of status.

The intending immigrant will, however, be inadmissible as an alien likely to become a public charge if the sponsor has not actually become domiciled in the United States by the date of the decision on the intending immigrant's application for admission or adjustment of status. Thus, the sponsor must arrive in the United States before, or at the same time as, the intending immigrant, and the sponsor must intend to establish his or her domicile in the United States.
