But if you haven't noticed, that happens all over the place on this board in various topics. Asking someone to tone down for an individual comment is much more appropriate than throwing uncalled for insults at all VSC filers on the whole. Now we have other stuff holding us back...just lik anyone who lives outside of canada trying to get a records check. Thank you TimsDaisy and KitKat for sticking up for us...and for the new member. It makes it really hard toget any support on this site when we are treated like we have no right to be concerned over any step in the process. I have been fully prepared to wait it out like everyone else...I did not ASK to get sent to Vermont. My NOA2 was issued 5 days after it arrived. Was this because I have a rich Daddy? certainly not. Was it because I have received preferential treatment? guess again. I can take a joke, but this VSC bashing is getting to be way over the top and downright rude. Comments like that are not funny, no matter how many stupid smileys you put on the post. Instead they just make me furious. I feel like I don't have a right to comment on any success or frustration on my case because some people can't tell the difference between reality and some childish 'us vs. them' mentality. The only thing I could suggest from what you posted was some additionnal evidence of ongoing relationship. They will want more than phone logs. As mentioned before, the guides and the search engine should be your best friend. I know I have spent many hours reading through them, also reading up on the USCIS and Embassy sites. The waiting is very hard, and it makes us a little panicky that we aren't 'doing enough'...but the best you can do right now is read read read. You need to send him evidence to your relationship, like phone records, chat logs, pictures, stuff like that, so he can take it to the interview with him. Keep researching, you've got some time. The embassy should contact the non-USC fiance with packet 3, there will be instructions and forms to fill out in that. As for me, Kellon went for his medical and interview this week. He passed the medical just fine, he was also approved for his visa. However, we are still waiting for the Canada police check to come back so we can mail it in with his passport so they can issue the visa. We are hoping we can get it in time so we can travel together to the states. I can't stay past August 16 since I have to interview in the states for a grad school program. Sooo, we are thrilled to be approved, we just need to get visa in hand now. I think I round out our group for getting visa's? well, we've almost got it. Kellon and I will be going to his interview next week. We are pretty anxious to say the least. We are still missing a bunch of documentation...not quite sure f we dhould go anyway or not. It's just frusrating. Sorry I haven't been around much. I guess I just haven't had much to say since we are at such a stand still. On a good note, we are throwing a huge engagement bash this weekend. We have a ton of people coming, I've been cooking all week. It's really nice to see you all getting through...I hope I'm not too much of a rain cloud. Nope...we actually don't have even half the stuff we need. That's why we requested a date in July. But it should be close...I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The embassy said he an interview without the certificate and just send it in afterwards if we need to. We are getting together everything we can, pics, filled out forms and what-not...but we are knocking on wood that we'll get everything else in time. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	VSC - February Filers	Thanks Jlvr, I have a small update. We faxed the DS-230 to the embassy yesterday (Monday)...we had ANOTHER set back. Kellon realized he had been listing his twins birthdate wrong. UGh, so we had to get it fixed on the I-129F (at the embassy) which wasn't very bad at all, it was fixed with one email. But the birth certificate we ordered are now going to take a month longer to get. man oh man I still don't have the I-134 or other miscellaneous things in hand, but I think it's closer to being done. The other stuff is cool, I'm handling the rest of it! A very bright light in all of this has been a chip I called in, I managed to get the Head of Immigration in Barbados to answer my questions personally. (I had to attend a dinner with the Ambassedor once....Somebody owed me). This guy has been so incredibly helpful in answering questions. He feels terrible about the delays and missing packets and what-not, so he just emailed me and asked me what day I want to have Kellons interview. He would have put it next month, but I requested the second week in July. Who knows when all this stuff will get here in the mail. So I'll let you know when have the exact date. It's killing me waiting for my fiance to gather all his stuff up... Sue! I had to quote that one sentence, your post almost made me cry..it really is totally true though. When you are doing it all yourself, you know everyday what's going on, when you release it, it can make you 1000 times crazier..I wonder if Craig felt the same way when I was gathering information for the I-129F application?? Kym, thanks....I don't want to make you cry though! I have to say, Kellon seems to have gotten the hint. He has definatly got into high gear in getting stuff done, but unfortunatly it will still take a bit of time waiting for things to trickle in. But it will all be fine I'm sure. On the other hand, I've been thrilled to read about those of us who are progressing nicely. Some with Visa's in hand, some with medicals done, some just waiting for an interview. I wish the US wasn't so big, I'd suggest we all get together for martini's when we are all there. But I guess I'll just have to drink one for you all. Said it was from the US Embassy but Im waiting to open it until Shannon gets here on Tuesday Thats a super quick turn around seeing as I only had the Interview on Wed 9th Just got a few things to sort and we are all ready for flying on the Morning of May 20th - I just cant wait ...... We have been offered an expidited interview since all the ####### of our sttuf getting lost in the mail...but i dn'thtink we can really accept it early since we still have so many things we are waiting on, police records from Canada, I-134's, birth certificates for his girls, a letter from the mother lettin them immigrate. I'm getting a bit frustrated. I liked filing the I-129F better. those were all things I had to gather. It's killing me waiting for my fiance to gather all his stuff up...he is definatly Caribbean. Kellon spoke with a lawyer in Canada today and she is going to follow up on the police certificate, hopefully if they think he has representation they will at least open the darned letter or request! I am truly grateful that we are together while all this is happening though. I try to not stress because I can't imagine how hard this would be if we were apart. My heart goes out to all of you that are waiting separate. Pretty soon we'll be in the states worrying about AOS and me getting into grad school and getting ready for his girls to come live with us. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	VSC - February Filers	We finally got Packet 3! we had to pay $74 dollars to get it from DHL though. ugh...one thing that was supposed to be free. But as we look through it, it's missing all the medical info that is supposed to be in the packet. They reference the "enclosed leaflet" regarding the medical, but never "enclosed" it. So now it's a wait again. geesh. and now for a little rant... Canada still has not received Kellons request for his police check. So now we are out another $70 to send in another request and wasted 7 weeks waiting for it to get there. The person who is our joint sponsor has not filled out the form still because he has questions...but won't talk on the phone long enough to tell us the question. I am in the process of finding another sponsor at the last minute. the birth mother for kellons girls refuses to help us get birth certificates and won't answer her phone so we can get information to do it on our own. If I get one more person trying to make me feel quilty about getting a fast approval through vermont...i may loose it! brown paper packages tied up with string....These are a few of my favorite things....deep breaths, phew. My update: have bought tickets and we'll be going to the consulate on June 18th for his interview. Only problem...I'm growing more and more disenchanted with Providence and am itching to move back to Mexico! Maybe when spring actually gets there it will help you feel better about staying. And if you finish the visa and AOS process, eventually you two can live either place for the rest of your lives. I vote for summers in the states and winters in Mexico!!!! They sent it again yesterday through DHL so it can be tracked. They said Grenada has a habit of loosing things the Embassy send here. So it should get here in a day or two...only problem is that we have to pay COD on this packet...and it will be at least $50! Put a few more greenbacks on the tally.
