Philippinesvisa in process
QUOTE (kingspade88 @ Nov 19 2008, 02:48 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My wife had an interview last nov. 17th,she got approved and had a pink slip already.we checked at delbros regarding her case and it says there shipment in process at the embassy....is this mean they are goin to deliver it in next couple days now or not sure yet???...we're just curious.tnx

it means her visa is NOT yet released and still in process at the embassy.

if another line showed up saying shipment released by the embassy then that means her passport and visa is for delivery and to expect it in few days.

PhilippinesPhilippine Passport Requirement
she needs to secure 2 valid id's such as driver's license, SSS id, PRC license id, NBI clearance, or any government ID that will show her complete name, address and picture. Probably the student id she showed is no longer valid since as you said she is out of school already, hence they asked for more id's from her. SSS id took a month before I received it.

PhilippinesCFO Stamp
1 hour, or less. Download the form from cfo (Philippine based emigrant form) website , print it and fill in the data. so when you get to CFO, just present the completed form, your passport, the green certificate, photocopy of visa and passport, and just wait for the sticker.

PhilippinesPsoriasis
Psoriasis won't be a problem for her. It's not a ground for visa denial.

Tell her to go out every early morning (7-8 am) and stay under the sun for 15 minutes, put moisturizer on her affected skin (petroleum will help soften the scales and they easily fall off), apply medications (given by her dermatologist), and try to manage her stress. Her anxiety is making her condition to flare up.

PhilippinesSLEC Medical Examinations
if diagnosed with primary complex/TB they have to complete the TB regimen first. After completion then redo medical exam and once cleared can proceed for interview.

in any country if a person is in infectious state they are not cleared to enter the country of destination. The diseased person (Immigrant/OFW) has to undergo treatment first.
jamesNreiFemalePhilippines2008-12-01 18:49:00
PhilippinesSLEC Medical Examinations
SLEC's cutoff is >5 mm induration as positive. Most Filipinos are positive in TST because we are breathing air filled of TB bacilli. wacko.gif aside from the BCG vaccine. It's not really unfair to be positive but there's nothing we can do about it, since TB has been in our country for thousands of years. Your immunity and body resistance plays a role if you get the disease. If you are healthy you can be infected but do not have the disease (no signs/symptoms), if weak you can get infected and get the disease.

Isoniazid is hepatotoxic, Rifampicin makes your pee orange, etc.

gracey, be confident that your child is healthy, you are always with her. I know you can tell if she is showing signs of primary complex. Paranoia can really makes us feel uncertain despite the training we went thru all the years. smile.gif

HI
i just wanna ask what's the next thing we need to do after we got our manila case number? my fiance is here in manila with me so he cannot able to get the letter from NVC, but we called them already and they said that, they recieved our I129F PETITION and they forwarded to the USEM 3days after they recieved. I just wanna know if can i pay now the things that i need to pay like visa fee or DV? Even if don't have the nvc letter and the letter from the embassy? i hope u can help me again guys!!!! and thank u in advance...

Hi, Jury! How long you waited for your Manila Case Number? We just got approved last Nov.24 and hoping for our Manila case number soon. Good luck to you and God bless!

Hi Netscot,

You should call NVC to get your case MNL case number... thats how we got ours then have your MNL# handy and NOA2 to get your medical...

Good Luck.

i dont understand. you mean you can go for an medical with just the MNL case #? i recieved mine last nov.22 and they said that i have to wait for the packet that contains intructions on interview and medical. because they said that packet is the one you will show on the medical and interview. please enlighten me with this. pls pls pls.

what other VJers did was they just showed a copy of their NVC letter at SLEC (St. Luke's Extension clinic)and they were able to have their medical. It's walk-in basis, no need for appointment.

for the interview, they called the call center and able to make an appointment since they already have the MNL #.

for details go to the USEM website, if you are K1 start here:

Honestly, I feel that ronjie and DEDixon have a totally unfair approach to this, study the langauge, instead of trying to stamp out the little exposure you find yourself forced to endure. If you want immersian into a langauge, this forum is one of those places to get that. I have no doubt that many people here while able to understand english and speak it well, find it very frustrating too, it's far more comfortable to speak and write in their native tongue. I remember my flight home, very specifically the first time I heard a native english speaker, it was something of a moment of clarity, I didn't have to concentrate to understand, it was loud and clear, the langauge I know. You feel left out when everyone else is speaking tagalog, then change yourself, instead of trying to force everyone else to change. Basically it's not about you, you have some valid points but you are ignoring everyone elses in favor of your own, selfish needs, your life is made easier if everyone speaks english around you, but you are making those who would prefer to speak their native tongue harder. It's rude to expect everyone else to cater to your personal needs!!!

I personally like the fact that this forum has a mix of english and tagalog, it gives me practice reading material that occassionally has some context, unfortunately I don't know enough tagalog yet to read many posts and know what the heck is being talked about, but with the help of a trusty dictionary and spending some time I can figure it out. I also know that if I have to I can ask a question here in english and an englihs answer will show up, so I CAN get the information I want.

my point as well. You take too much pride on yourself not to take effort to learn our language. You want everyone around you to conform to your ways for your own convenience. Do you know why you feel left out? because you chose too, you don't want to listen or learn. If you put your ear or mind on to discussion you will find yourself immerse into the foreign language and surprisingly pick up couple of words and eventually figure out what they are talking about. If you can't, ask someone to translate the discussion for you, posts here are mostly in bisaya not in tagalog.

This forum is our comfort zone. Yes we know how to speak English but it's still different when you can use your own native tongue. Less effort to speak and write. It's like a nice break to use their language again. And we can fully express ourselves. We are not being rude. But if you start a thread and everyone is replying in another language then that is rude. If you want to know something ask, be humble. Everyone is willing to help you out. I did not find the rules of language etiquette here, if you have it please do furnish us such copy. But what I know is Give Respect to the OP if she opt to write in her own language.

You need to discuss this issue with your SO's, your frustrations are projected to this thread. Tell them how you feel when you have family gatherings and everyone starts to speak in diff language. Point it out to your wife when you are in the room everyone should talk in English. Then do your part as well study our language, don't take this a one sided effort. Be more open minded.

Some Pinoys find it difficult to speak in English, coz not everyone in Philippines and even in this forum are fluent in your language. It takes too much effort using English in the conversation, some cannot fully express themselves, and can be frustrating for them. It's like having a nose bleed, as pinoys would say it, because of too much pressure in their brain to converse with you. Eventually they feel embarrassed to speak in English coz they were not able to communicate well to you.

Study our language, be humble to ask and talk to your SO's re your issues during family gatherings.

Philippines4 months validity of NO2 expired
Have you scheduled for your interview at the embassy? If yes, then no need to worry about that, bec you have an existing record of active process for your visa (your scheduled interview) and St. Luke's will coordinate with the embassy re your change of interview date. In short the embassy knows you are on the process of your visa requirements and they will give you some leeway for that.

PhilippinesI need help on what to do..
You have to continue with this process, it's difficult right now but in the long run it will benefit you, your fiance, and your baby in the future. Just be patient and persevere in your goals.

Like what the other posters said, secure another affidavit of support from your fiance and make sure he click on the right box this time that he will be supporting you financially. And he should make a letter of explanation why suddenly he is supporting you now (coz he might have clicked the wrong box before? or something) and that he is retracting the first affidavit of support you submitted.

Good luck to you! Stay strong.

hi, just want to ask here, how much is the fees for applying AOS, EAD and AP? we're planning to apply in the middle of this month. Thanks and God bless.

For AOS (including EAD and AP) it's $1,010.00

PhilippinesUnder review.. sigh!!
A matter of 10-day-wait is nothing as compared to my experience of 2 &1/2 months. Under review is not a biggie, you will be receiving your visa in a matter of few days from now since according to you everything went well. What the call rep told you is a generic answer to all applicants, not necessarily meaning you really have to wait that long. It will come sooner than you thought it will be.
