Hi to all! biggrin.gif

trinidad-lohner, I am already married. it's been almost a month now. So you've been doing some man-hunting lately eh? Naughty ata si hubby while you were away?

PingLocalHostess, how many days did the turnover take, from the day you sent the vaccination thing in the mail to the day you received it? coz I sent ours last Wed and am still waiting for our vaccination supplement from the doctor's office. Btw, can you pretty please send me the list of things you've been preparing for your AOS? I want to be sure I got everything right. Do we have to send a certified true copy marriage certificate ? thanks in advance. biggrin.gif

pretty mommy, happy reunion! I still get overwhelmed with the huge serving here, so to keep the weight off I always have to ask for a to-go box.

bevs, good luck to your AOS too.

PhilippinesSa Mga Kapwa Ko Pinay
In law, defamation (also called calumny, libel, slander, and vilification) is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image. Slander refers to a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report, while libel refers to any other form of communication such as written words or images. Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against groundless criticism. Related to defamation is public disclosure of private facts which arises where one person reveals information which is not of public concern, and the release of which would offend a reasonable person.[1] "Unlike libel, truth is not a defence for invasion of privacy."[2]

False light laws are "intended primarily to protect the plaintiff's mental or emotional well-being."[3] If a publication of information is false, then a tort of defamation might have occurred. If that communication is not technically false but is still misleading then a tort of false light might have occurred.[3]

good day to you too natty....you mentioned in another thread the poster can ask the moderator to close a thread? how can it be done? thank you.
jamesNreiFemalePhilippines2008-10-23 20:25:00
PhilippinesBecause they wish they were Filipinas. But since they can't...well...
natty, i can't help myself not to react on this. Last Chance's post was a bit confusing even to me (I'm a Filipina). She/he did not quote anyone's post to whom he/she is addressing it to, it was too vague. No one here can answer for Last Chance. If you need enlightenment, you better ask Last Chance yourself, and not make everyone in our region participate on your arguments. If you think we could be seriously interested to give some of our thoughts on that demeaning thread to our nation then we would have participated in that thread. No need to bring this up here.

It is disappointing to see how some people chose to be ignorant of someone else country and use such ignorance to insult others. Please give due respect to our nation as we do to yours. And PM Last chance your query. Peace...

PhilippinesVisa pick up
Jamin, if your fiancee's consul told her that her visa is approved at the end of her interview she should immediately ask her consul if she can have it picked up. Only the consul can approve for the pick up arrangement. I doubt if you can have it on same day, probably 1-2 days after, as long as her papers are complete.

PhilippinesIt's Monday !!
this was my feedback of our today's seminar, which i posted on my thread. smile.gif

QUOTE (jamesNrei @ Oct 27 2008, 09:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I have more story to tell about our gimik rather than the seminar. lol smile.gif

We met up around 9 am at PRISM for the 10 am seminar. In attendance were pinglocalhostess, Jose Rizal, trinidad-lohner, natassja_keisha, and yours truly. I gave them (for K1) a photocopy of my valid id's, my NBI clearance, and Birth certificate and paid them P250. We filled out a form at S2 room and our individual pictures were taken just like in St. Luke's, where they used a webcam. Then we proceeded to S3 room for the documentary film, which I barely saw. lol...Well it's because we were seated at the back most and too busy making tsismis(tell stories/talking about other people). smile.gif hehehe.. I suggest for those who want to see the video better to be seated in front row. The tv was too small and too low to be seen from behind. It's a documentary film by MGB, the pinay wife was exploited by her husband (from Netherlands) and was forced to pose nude for pics in freezing snow, on top of mountains! She ended up coming back to Philippines. I believe a post was made before about that film,it was better review than mine! lol smile.gif I was busy having chit chat with ping and mrs. lohner. It was a short clip of pinay exploitation.

After that, a BDO representative gave a sales talk about their remittance services, were you only pay 50 pesos, give them a photocopy of your id and picture and they'll give you a passport and atm card. We were all encouraged to apply for the service. Actually, dry.gif the sales talk took a longer time as compared to the PRISM orientation and documentary film!

Then we proceeded to USA room for the group counseling, Which was the better part. A hand out was distributed containing all the information you need for travel, what to and NOT to bring, what to do upon arriving at US, when to apply for change of status, etc. So don't lose that one, keep it with your files, very informative. And a little lecture was given and finished by past 12.

After which we had a one on one interview with the counselor. It was just like our interview at the embassy, how did you meet, how do you communicate, when did he arrive, etc. but a little more detailed. Bevs was right you should know your fiance/spouse's middle name (their mother's maiden name). I showed the pictures of me and my fiance and the counselor took one for remembrance, este for their file. smile.gif That was the last part and we waited for few minutes to receive our yellow certificate.

We went to BDO to claim our atm card and passbook, but to our surprise they have not processed our papers yet. since it was almost 2 pm, no lunch and we still have to go to CFO main, so we all decided to withdraw our application.

I am glad to attend the seminar with a company. It makes the waiting bearable and you get to meet in person our VJ friends. And all make tsismis! smile.gif

Before going to Quirino Ave. be sure to have your yellow certificate photocopied. You'll pay 400, in my case I don't have my passport yet they only issued me a green certificate. I have to go back again for the stamp, to bring the certificate too, on my passport and to register my son as well.

For our very late lunch, we were all hungry by 4 pm (but we are still talking nonstop..hehehe), we went to MOA and met JamesRachel at A Venetto. Good thing she arrived early and made an order for us. So when we get there food was ready. We were really starving by then. It was a tiring but fun day! I don't have a pic but the others brought their cam and they promised to post the pics. smile.gif

It is advisable to attend the seminar with VJ friends.

jamesNreiFemalePhilippines2008-10-27 09:57:00
PhilippinesIt's Monday !!
It's Monday night here in Philippines. Today I met some of the VJ members in person. 5 of us went together for our seminar, which is required by our government before leaving our country, so it was fun and interesting.

I can say my Monday was a great day!

Enjoy your day. smile.gif

Philippinesi plan to have my medical tomorrow
At SLEC's registration area they usually ask for the interview date and even the guards who give out number and forms. And at times if there were too many applicants having the medical at the same time they will prioritize the ones with the nearest date, your paper might end up being at the bottom. You should have called the SLEC first to confirm if you can. Mypapabear is right it's up to you to take chances. smile.gif

PhilippinesOdd questions...hopeing for some help!
professional fees vary between OBGYN's, there is usually a standard PF as based on ethics. However if your OBGYN is a big time physician she can ask for as much as she wants. Your fiance should know by now as to how much her doctor asks for PF during normal delivery or cesarean section. You pay for this before your fiance and baby go home. You have to settle all your accounts before the hospital discharge your family.

For the medical card, not all HMO's cover for the hospital stay that is related to pregnancy. Better verify it with the HMO first.

Midwives are present in some hospital, but the OBGyn will deliver the baby. Some midwives who do private practice attends birth at theirs patient's home.

it means her visa is NOT yet released and still in process at the embassy.

if another line showed up saying shipment released by the embassy then that means her passport and visa is for delivery and to expect it in few days.
