Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 May 2014 Filers	I had a question I friend of my was put into deportation proceeding the case went before a judge and the case was administratively close now his 1year extention had expire so he did an info pass and they told him they could stop his passport and the have to transfer his case to California.. This from 2010 and he still hasn't gotten any answer ..now call California and they told him to make another info pass along with 3 passport pic so they can stamp his book ..my question is can he file for his citizenship with this case pending since its been so long or he has to wait to see what the outcome of the case is	smokey68	Female	Jamaica	2014-06-25 13:37:00

I would think in your case hiring an attorney would be your best bet since there is a possibility of your case getting denied for whatever reason(s). I hope to hear the same news soon. What a trip it always turns out to be with USCIS.   Why was your case transferred to CSC, did they give any reason?   They cited the reason to the workload at Vermont center. I got my NOA within a week of filing but still no biometrics appt. I even called but got no updates from them. They said to give it 6 months at least. I called the usics and stated that they are currently working on case from February 2013 ; I filed for my husband on June10,2013 and next week it will be 6 months and still no update. So what is normal processing time the site says 7.4 months you call and get a different answer! We file June 7,2013. Not real sure as to what's going on. My husband said that he was told that its was 13months from the service center. Just praying and waiting !
