i just called uscis a couple of hours ago and i spoke to and officer he told me that they are working on october 22 now that when they have a decision in my case they will send a notice. but i know its not october because some early and late nov 2012 fillers have gotten a reply. this is frustrating knowing that others are being approved and others that filled before or after are still waiting. but on a positive note congrats to all of u that got a noa2;)

thank u fir the help. i put in my recite number it says the same thing it has had for the past 5 months. i put in a my number agian and changed the ending and that pettition has been approved in april but we have the same date nov 27.. this is frustrating knowing that someone with the same date has been approved and i havent gotten any reply yet.

Hello, I have a question about something that I have seen mentioned once or twice. Is there a rule that I have to have visited my wife in the past 2 years, and if there is, and I have not, will it count against me in the visa process?

A little background:

We met on the internet in June 2004. I went to the Philippines in November of 2004 for a 10 day visit to meet her in person for the first time. I decided then that I wanted to marry this woman and be with her. So, in January of 2005, after giving a 1 month notice, I left my job, and moved to the Philippines on Feb 2, 2004. She had found an apartment for us, and was waiting for me. After getting there, I received my retirement disbursement, not a lot, but I figured it should be enough to last us for at least a year. I thought I would be bringing her back with me. (How little I knew). I paid one years rent on the apartment, 1 year on the cable TV and the cable internet. We were married on May 25, 2005.

It was about that time that I found this site. I knew absolutely nothing about the visa process. I learned about the affidavit of support, and knew that I would need to be working when I filed for the visa. So, September 28th, 2005, I kissed my wife at the airport, and with tears in my eyes, watched her ride away as I walked into the terminal, and the flight back to the US.

I figured with 10 years at my old job, and leaving on very good terms, I would come back here and go right back to work. I was wrong (again). There were no openings there, so no way they could hire me back right away. I applied for jobs at other places within my field, and while waiting for those, just to have some money coming in, I took a job at a fast food restaurant making a little over minimum wage. So I was nowhere near the 125% above the poverty level line. I decided after 2 months (this was around Christmas time 2005) that I would put in for training as an Asst Manager there, as no one in my field was hiring at Christmas time, and it would mean a couple of extra dollars.

Now, while this was going on here, my wife was in school there, so I was still her only means of support. Well, to make a long story short (ok, maybe not short, just not as long) it was September 2006 before I finally got my old job back. The only catch was, I had to start as a new employee, making the new employee rate. So far, at this point in the story, it has been 1 year since I left, and no return trip yet. We were talking on Yahoo everyday, from the time I got home until time for one of us to sleep. The computers and web cams were never off.

As you can guess, I have had to build my vacation time back up, and I am finally getting close to what I was making before I left. But, in that time, prices for everything else have also gone way up, including air fares. Every time I think I have saved up enough to finally go visit her again, something else comes up, and there goes that money. It is very frustrating for both of us. I have also been trying to save enough so that when she gets here, we can find our own apartment, buy furniture and all those other things we need for day to day living. Plus all the costs that are associated with the visa process.

I plan to be there for her interview, and then she will just fly here, and I will meet her at the POA. So we are looking at around $2500 -$3000 for those flights alone.

So, the basic question is: is it going to hurt us that I have not been back yet? Or, should I just bite the bullet and go? I really do miss her, and seeing her everyday on Yahoo just makes me miss her more. Believe me, I wish I could visit her on all my days off, or at least at Christmas and her birthdays.

im sorry but something is obviously wrong with him. when someone changes the mind after only a few months of marriage it has to be for some reason and it just sounds like the guy did something behind her back.



Nowhere in her story did I see anything that gave any hints of unfaithfulness or playing around. Maybe there is nothing wrong with him. Perhaps it is 2 people that just didn't know each other all that well, and when they finally do get together, and spend more than a few days or maybe a couple of weeks together, find out that they are not compatible. It happens.

You were VERY quick to start pointing fingers at him, and claiming cheating. Maybe it was something that happened to you, but it is not the only reason people seek divorce.

I am caregiver but not just that I am certified, I passed my exam for caregiver certification 1 year ago. but I haven't use it, because im still here in the philippines working on our 1R-1 visa.

We got our transfer notice today, dated Nov. 5, 2008. We have been transferred from VSC to CSC.
It is the first time it has been touched since March, and it is not showing a touch or that it has been transferred yet on the website.

But, I finally feel that things are starting to move along.

Ok, is CENOMAR needed for IR1/CR1 visas, or is that only required for K1s? Certificate of No Marriage Record(CENOMAR) is simply what its name implies. It is a certification issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) stating that a person has not contracted marriage.
So, if we are married already, do we need a CENOMAR or not? Because now it woud show her as being married to me. And we have a Marriage Certificate for that.

Hello,
Maddy and I are trying to determine the space of time between the NVC approval and the interview date. I have her DS-230 ready to send off, all fees paid, just need to take the envelope to the Post Office.
But, because she is in school until sometime in mid-march, we really don't want her interview before that. Hopefully the end of March or first of April at the earliest. She has worked hard to get really good grades in her classes, and I would hate to see her lose it all because she had to be out for days for her medical and interview. And, I plan to be there with her for her interview, and would like to have some time with her.
OK, it was a long post for a short question, just wanted to explain why we prefer a later date. wink.gif

TOKYO (AP) — Severe turbulence jolted a Tokyo-bound Northwest Airlines flight from Manila on Friday, injuring 47 people, officials said.

The turbulence hit the plane while it was circling off the coast of Chiba, east of Tokyo, about 30 minutes before landing, said Masashi Takahashi, a spokesman for Northwest Airlines in Tokyo. The plane suddenly descended, sending passengers without their seatbelts fastened lurching from their seats, he said.

The flight landed at the nearby Tokyo international airport around noon, Takahashi said.

Kenichi Fujii, a fire department official, said 47 people suffered injuries, none of them life-threatening. He had no further details. Officials earlier thought two passengers were seriously hurt, but they were in better condition than expected upon examination.

The Boeing 747-400 plane was carrying 408 passengers and 14 crew members.

All the injured were passengers, Takahashi said. Japanese TV networks showed them coming off the plane holding their heads and necks.

"I was so scared, I thought I would die," a passenger who was not named told the TBS television network. "My whole body was lifted into the air."

Fire trucks and ambulances were on the tarmac when the plane landed. One of the passengers was taken away on a wheelchair and another on a stretcher.

Officials refused to comment immediately on the injuries passengers suffered, though most were believed to have been hurt by bumping their heads or jerking their necks.
