K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2013 filers	I'm just waiting for my response from my RFE. Sent back and entered June 11. But question guys. And ladies. Since I did apply for the fiancé and the 2 year old child on the same 129f. K1 Do I need to pay another fee for another k1 visa. Or the one I submitted will do. I, still lost on this. I got at least 3 e-mails and texts with one saying it was transferred to my local USCIS office. Yeah me too got 3 texts/emails within a week. The last was on May 30th. Because I've gotten texts and e-mails but no hard letter. :/ I got mine on the mail yesterday (hard copy). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2013 filers	Hmm, my status now says the following: The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.   This is a bit different message than it said before. No mention about a transfer to a "local office" or the date of the transfer. Hope "now being processed" means that they're actually processing it, and it's not just lying in a corner somewhere. Calling the 800 number, the automated case status message also says pretty much exactly the same thing, no mention of where it's being processed. I got the same message too. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2013 filers	Ok so this is weird. ... like a lot of us who got the email/text yesterday about our cases being send to our "local" USCIS Office for further information, I just now called the 800 number to found out about which local office my case was send to (Charlotte or Raleigh) and I was very surprised to find out that my case was transferred to VERMONT !!! I got this information on the automated system.  I'm very confused.  =(   What do you guys think about this? And maybe you guys wanna do the same thing and check about your case over the phone. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2013 filers	What I find so bizarre is how might such a system actually be working, What kind of system is it that can approve a petition dated the January when there are petitions still doing nothing from July-Dec. At that level of - let's call it for what it appears to be - incompetence , one can only consider the system both broken and completely the opposite of a system.   I'd like to propose the following system to USCIS   1) Rent a big room 2) Get some of those plastic boxes with lids that you can buy in the hardware store for storing kids toys in 3) When applications come in chuck them in the boxes and then store the boxes anywhere you feel like in the big room. No need to label anything but hey let's go mad and colour code the boxes by month so you have some idea when they came in 4) If you get more applications in and the boxes aren't full pile the new ones on top of the old ones 5) When you run out of applications to process wander in with your own crate and fill it up from any boxes you like the colour of 6) Process your own crate in any order you like. Make a point of doing them in any order as by now they are completely out of order anyway.   OK so that's a crazy system. A huge government organisation being paid directly by their citizens and customers would never do anything like that.   Odd that the system they do have generates pretty much the same outcome. BRAVO !!!   haha Yeah, me too. I'm extremely happy that the CSCers are getting their NOA2's but I'm wondering why VSC can't go at the same rate? Now that they're working January it's the same completely random process. Pleased for the Jan filers with with NOA1s later than me who are getting NOA2s (and all the 2012 black holers)  but hey you do have to wonder how that system works. Sorry did I say system   Given that they have hundreds if not thousands of K1's to process how they heck do they actually do them ? It's obviously not something logical (or fair) like NOA1 date  If (and it's a big if) they work from the scanned docs then it's not like they wander into a cupboard and grab an unmarked plastic box piled up with applications  forms, is it?......... Or perhaps that is exactly how it is. Which quite frankly is an appalling indictment of a government bureacracy. I totally agree with you. I'm extremely happy that they are working on us (January's) but is weird how the applications get approved. That will likely be my last trip until she and her two little kids have their visas in hand (I'm really hoping that will be by early September at the latest). I will fly back then to accompany them on their trip to the U.S. I wish I could be there for the embassy interview, but I'm running out of vacation time - and the airfare is so expensive. Hi my beautiful lady has 2 kids also. Is good to know someone else here is applying for 3 people. (I think is what u did rite? ) I was a little "worry" about it, cuz most people in here are applying only for one person and didn't know if for me (us) that could have been a problem or take longer than most applications.
