Ok so I've asked this 3 or 4 times already but I still can't get a straight answer, and I know I should just call the embassy but I thought I'd try one more time here to see if anyone has been in the same sitution *quote from packet 3 from Dublin for k1 visa* a)Each Applicant aged 16 years or over is required to submit a police certificate from the police authorities of each locality of the country of the applicant's nationality or current residence where the applicant has resided for at least six months since attaining the age of 16. b)Police certificates are also required from all other countries where the applicant has resided for at least one year. *end quote* Ok so I've lived in Ireland most of my life from birth to now. It is my current residence. So I have an Irish Police report as per a). I lived in Japan for 18 months so I have to get a japanese police report as per b ). I lived in India for 7 months when I was 22. Heres my question. Do I need an Indian police report? My confusion comes from this sentence - *Each Applicant aged 16 years or over is required to submit a police certificate from the police authorities of each locality of the 1. country of the applicant's nationality or 2. current residence where the applicant has resided for at least six months since attaining the age of 16.* India is neither my country of nationality (1) nor my current residence(2). So a) is not applicable. So does that mean that I would only need to get an Indian police report if I'd resided for at least one year, as per b ) above? Ugh my head hurts ... anyone help? Thanks! They as always can be tricky but it can help you get a better idea of timing. Try the rfe trick to talk to someone. More time for me to earn a strong euro wage before 3 odd months of no working More time for me to spend with friends and family before emmigrating More time for him to get his credit rating up before we try to buy a house More time for him to play xbox without me nagging him to stop More time to think of fun ideas for the wedding we're going to have to plan in 8 weeks More time for both of us to get better at cooking since we won't be able to afford to eat out once I get there If it gets delayed by the Japanese embassy, it'll push the wedding out of peak season, so flights will be cheaper for my family Just gotta keep counting the blessings and if there aren't enough ... make em up! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Proof of Meeting in an E-World	Hi all, First time poster, long time lurker Getting ready to send off our I-129 just need some reassurance about our proof of meeting For the past 18 months we've been living in Japan, working for the same company, which we applied to as a couple (although we did have separate apartments as required by the company). We have tons of secondary proof (ie photos of us in front of various Japanese stuff looking dorky) and we do have our passport stamps into and out of Japan, Korea, Malaysia, London and back to Ireland all on the same day. But since all of our travels were booked on the internet, and paid for by credit card, and since we just left Japan and tossed all our sentimental ####### (ie Boarding Passes, etc) to make bags lighter I find that we're lacking on paper proof. I have all of our email confirmations for flights, in both names, and hotel bookings, usually just in my name. "Has your fiance(e) met and seen you within the two-year period immediately receding the filing of this petition? Yes No Describe the circumstances under which you met. If you have not personally met each other, explain how the relationship was established. " So in this case, my fiance and I should detail and prove ONLY our last 2 years spent working together in Japan and not mention our relationship prior to that? Is it correct to assume that any proof, information, details of our relationship before that is just 'in the way'? Is it best to keep it to just the details required? Is it safe to completely disregard how we met, when we met etc in favour of proof of our relationship in the past two years? Or should we play it safe and tell them our whole life story? I didn't stay anywhere for very long, although I did have an address of a friend where I had letters and packages sent. Should I include this address as my residence? If not, how should I fill in this period in the residence question? I'm afraid to leave it blank as it might just look like I haven't completed all 5 years. Thanks!! Question about the medical and getting into the US	I worked with kids in the Maryland for 5 summers In the second year a new law was enforced that all people working with kids had to have a clear TB test The 100 people at the camp took a TB test 2 people got a positive Me (irish) and another guy (scottish) We were quaranteened and eventually brought for a full chest xray at a TB clinic Both of us turned up clear It was because it's standard for most UK/Irish people to have a TB vaccination at a very young age And as part of the vaccination a small amount of TB stays in your blood Which ultimately shows up as a positive in the quick TB test I have a nice big certificate from the TB clinic saying that I'm clear that I intend to bring to my interview But I imagine doctors in England will be well aware of the situation	Slightly Bonkers	Female	Ireland	2007-10-04 23:45:00

After you enter on the K1, you have 90 days to marry. After that you send in your AOS paperwork and EAD/AP if you want. On average its 90 days AFTER you send in the AP paperwork that you should get your AP. So unless you get married the day you enter and file the next day, its going to be longer than 90ish days before you can leave. No I understand that, I was just mentioning the absolute minimum, and at this stage I can't wait to get that ring on my finger! Sorry if it's unclear - If I get married within days of entering the country, immediately apply for AOS and Advanced Parole, it could take up to 90 days to receive the AP, meaning I couldn't return to Ireland for at least 90 after enter. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Entering the US after the K1	Hypothetical.... I have 6 months to enter the US on a K1 visa after issue. Once I enter I can't leave the country for 90ish days without a Parole. but Can I enter the US during those six months on a VWP, not marry, go home and return later within the original 6 mths on a K1 and marry? Ok you should be able to get it with the top two sentences but some more info ... As most of us .. I hate being away from my guy. There's a good chance my visa will be issued next may/june/july which means I have to enter the country on my K1 nov/dec/jan. If during that 6 months I want to visit my fiance but come home immediately, not 'emmigrate' to the us (not use the K1), is that possible? I have a job that may not release me easily until sept next year so may want to visit after the K1 has been issued buy before the long term emmigration.
