Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	Called DoS this morning to check on my case.....	So.... this morning I called DoS  to check any update on my case. We have been undergoing AP for almost 13 months, so I expected the lady to tell me ( like always have) you are still on Administrative Processing, but instead she said, you are " Pending". I asked, what do you mean by pending? Does that mean we are still undergoing AP? She said, let me look..... so she came back and said, well yes you have been on AP, but your case says it is "Pending" ... Anyone has an idea? The reason why I am asking is because on June 24th we received an email from the Algeria Embassy stating that they were getting ready to make a decision on our case within the next 10 days.... well it's been more like 20 now  and no decisions yet!   Please any input is great! Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	Recent Approvals After Long Wait in AP	Grace & Irfan....   We too have just entered 13 months of AP TODAY! . Received and email from the Embassy in Algiers last June 24th. The email stated that they were getting ready to make a decision on our case within the next 10 days. Well, it is almost a month now and we have not heard anything yet. Emailed the Embassy twice in the last week, no response!. It sure makes you wonder what they are doing!. China	Passport Tracking after approval	Thanx RandyW   LOL we are trying to stay calm.. After being so happy and excited when he got the OK at her interview we really thought the hard part was over but it seems the final stretch is the hardest of all.   She got sick after her multiple injections.. and then we are stressing about these passports.   We find the closer it all comes to being a reality the more we are afraid that every ezra day we get stuck waiting, something will go wrong and destroy all our hopes and dreams of a future together..   This process is a terrible thing to have to go through.  Those in charge of setting it up and running it should be people who have been through it.. Im sure it would undergo massive and immediate changes if that were the case.   Today we are both doing a little better.. but give us time.. the day (on my side of the planet) is yet young.. China	Passport Tracking after approval	We are going crazy...   The interview was April 1st.  April fools day.  She was only asked a few questions.     First a couple about her son's father until they figured out that while the guy shows up every once in a while he lives 20 hours away and has never co-domeciled with them.  Then they asked a few questions about our rapid timeline.  She answered because her heart told her this was real and right.  LOL, apparently he made a face like he didn't love that answer but left it and asked about my family's thoughts on her bringing a child thats not mine into the mix and when she told them I and my little bro are both adopted anyway because my parents couldn't have children and it turned out my ex wife couldn't have children either so we don't see accidents of biology as being relevant in building a family, in fact I and my extended family look at her 3 year old son (who calls me baba - father, on Skype) as a gift, not baggage, they said ok you are good to go.   We emailed a col days later to remind them that we intended to bring her son over 6 months after she entered.. they replied saying that it would require him to get a new medical exam and create some issues.  So i got back to them telling them OK we will just bring him same time then..    Somewhere? here..https://ceac.state.g...AKjMWCuebHqOw==   website shows hers as good to go but lists his as being in Administrative processing.. But its never changed since the 9th and hers is issued.  The other website says its good to go and lists her and 1 family member's passports as being transferred to post for a long time.  Finally now it changed over the weekend to saying nothing, but then today it reads? "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery"   So its a change but kind of just means the same thing right?   This website (   Does anyone else have any experience with this same situation?  Should we expect it to come soon now? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Interview Question...How to respond?	Somebody's been watching too much 90 day fiance... Its true you aren't obligated.. But that is expected only to come into play if something unforeseen held up your marriage plans.. NOT because you think you get 90 days to decide.  That's completely wrong and would be almost as if your letter of intent were purgury and visa fraud.   very bad answer...   we are going to say that my job and my parents health both mean I cant live abroad, so we have no choise but to have her come to USA.  Also, the wedding will take place here so my mother, who has cancer and cant travel can attend.   true... National Visa Center (Dept of State)	How to contact NVC or DoS for case number	Hi again everyone!   We got ahold of both DoS and NVC. The DoS had our receipt number on file and he said to wait 6-8 weeks (what an original response, huh?) then I called the NVC and the representative said she didn't even locate our receipt number. I am wondering if the DoS and NVC have the same information and get the information at the same time??? and then the NVC lady asked me when our notice date was, and told me to wait 8 weeks before checking the status of the case. I am worried because it seems she didn't even look up our receipt number.  Did anyone else have this experience where the NVC didn't know your receipt number? National Visa Center (Dept of State)	How to contact NVC or DoS for case number	Hi everyone.   We got our NOA2 on October 8th and we are now trying to contact the NVC or the DoS to get our case number, or see if one has been assigned yet. When i call the DoS it just gives me information about visas, not able to connect to a person. On the website it said tomorrow (the 16th) the phone lines will change and there will be a new number to call. The number to the DoS also gave me a number to the NVC which was (603) 334-0700, and that number just beeps right away like a busy signal. We NEED to get ahold of them as soon as possible so we can keep up on our case. I tried a few different numbers, but none seem to get me to a person to help. He will bring the 2 required pictures, it seems Brazil is one of the few countries that do not allow you to upload a picture. Different process for every country I guess!
