Canada	Medical in Toronto	I was just in Toronto for the medical on wednesday. Here is a run down of the things they asked and or looked for. They went through the basic questions about your previous medical history, looking for things that would be contagious as Peachy said (hiv, syphilis, etc.). They may be interested in the fact that he has had an "interesting" previous medical history. Just have him ask his doctor for a brief medical history and list his ongoing treatments etc. At the medical they checked my breathing and listened to my heart. Took my blood pressure and documented my weight and height. The findings of the xray should go hand in hand with the medical history. I wouldn't be concerned. Just encourage him to be honest about his medical history with the examiner. They are very friendly and understanding. Don't worry! Thank you. Canada	Medical in Toronto	I am losing sleep at night worrying about all the things that come with the K1 and immigration process in general. My biggest concern is the medical exam for my fiance. I am the USC. He is going to be going for his medical in Toronto. He was born with a hole in his heart. (I filled it of course when we met 11 years ago ) But he has a pacemaker now to make sure everything keeps beating like it should. Do you think this will cause an issue? Obviously when they do the chest x-ray they will see the big hunk of metal in his chest. I don't want him to fail the medical because of something he had since birth. He goes to his regular pacemaker appts and everything is going great like always. He actually has an appt at his pacemaker doctor in Toronto next week. Canada	Long Form Birth Certificate! NEED HELP ASAP	How does my fiance obtain his long form birth certificate? We attempted to do it on the Ontario.ca website, but they wanted something called a guarantor. We aren't sure what that is, but it seems like its too much of a headache. Canada	Canada Police Certificate	Yes, that's what mine looked like. There should be a box somewhere or something that says that his name was checked in the CPIC or something like that. Mine then had a raised sealed on it. Oh thank goodness! Thank you. I came home from a weekend visit and called NVC and they said our stuff was sent to Montreal Thursday so hopefully we get P3 soon! Canada	Canada Police Certificate	So we went this morning to get my fiance's police certificate at his local police station. They had us fill out a form that was like a sheet of paper. They took it, gave it back and said that was it. They gave us back the same paper, that was just signed, checked "Negative" for any police record and had an embossed seal. Canada	Interview Wait Times in Montreal	I checked a week ago and it was 50 days. Keep checking back though because you can reschedule if something comes sooner. It doesn't affect the outcome, Montreal certainly understands that people have to work etc etc etc... Oh I know that I don't HAVE to go, but its something we both want. I want to be there for support for him and I would be a nervous wreck if I was sitting at work while he was in Montreal doing his interview. Canada	CSC Website and Courier Service	We are having the same problem, and have the same question! Can anyone help? Can we just send packet three by expresspost? We filed for the I129 in early February and only got approval the same time as you. Makes no sense at all. Montreal is showing a 63 day wait now, so we want packet 3 in ASAP. We actually just sent out P3 today and just ate the the cost of the $2 shipping. You can get everything at the Montreal website for whats needed for P3. So we just sent out at our own costs. My fiance went to the Shoppers Drugmart and sent it out for $2. Should get there in 2-4 days. So that works for me I guess. I will be calling DOS every day to see if they have it yet. But we aren't in any hurry for interview as I cannot get the time off work to go with him to Montreal until November (and its important to us that we both go). Canada	CSC Website and Courier Service	So we are just about ready to send in Package 3 to Montreal and I went last night to register on the CSC site for being able to sign up for Courier Service. Everytime I went to do it by following the instructions from this website, it kept looping me back to scheduling an interview. I don't want to and can't schedule an interview yet. Is anyone else having problems doing this? Am I not able to register for Loomis until we get packet 4? Also, it said the next interview is 50 days away...so just a heads up for people looking to get an interview soon. Its about a 2 month wait at this point. Any help would be great. Its just a piece of paper that we filled out like an application sort of, that they just write that they verified he was clear on the CPIC or whatever? With a raised seal of the police department? Canada	Montreal Embassy Affidavit of Support	So I was reading some reviews of the Montreal Embassy and I wanted to make sure that what I have is going to be good enough. I have: -2011, 2010 tax transcripts -2011, 2010 W2s. -Letter from my employer stating my current salary and position -Paystubs from the entire 2012 so far. Do you think this is enough? I've heard people with more or less and getting approved. Do you think this will be enough? The P3 only states the most recent tax return (2011) transcript. Canada	Package 3--Montreal	Dumb question. On the information section on the Montreal Embassy website, it has the forms that are needed to be sent in to them for the response to Packet 3. However, it also lists that these documents need to be brought to the interview. I am so confused. If we send them with packet 3, do they also need to be brought to the interview or will they have them there already? Any other information that I should know before I send packet 3? Canada	some questions re: toronto medical	I just booked my appointment with Dr. Lyndon Mascarenhas (I didn't want to wake up at 5am!). Picked up phone promptly, was able to book appointment easily, seemed flexible on time. The cost and turn around time is the same: $300 cash only and you get results in 48 hours. The woman I spoke to on the phone was nice and verified the necessary vaccinations with me over the phone. They do not do vaccinations there. Will post review after my exam! Canada	Montreal Package 3 Processing	Maybe I'm jumping the gun. But called me paranoid if you wish. My fiance in Canada, sent Package 3 to Montreal on Monday, August 27th. It is now Wednesday, September 5th and DOS says they still have not logged Package 3. Is this normal? Everything else since NOA2 has seemed to only take 3-5 days. The reason I am freaking out is because my fiance sent it regular Canada Postal or whatever. No tracking number (I about had a heartattack when he told me he didn't get out). Canada	Visa got approved today	So I was there at around 7 and was 5th or 6th in line. Everything went great and people were nice. I spent more time at the window to give documents than the actual interview. I was at window 8 with ticket c4 and it was the well-known dreadlock haired girl who interviewed me. The first part is the oath, you just needed to sayYES. The actual interview question was : tell me something about your fiancé. YES you heard me right,like a job interview. After about 1.5 minutes babbling about my story. The girl said your visa is approved and congrats and pass me the paper from the slot. I even forgot to give her the survey.;-) Thank you so much for the help, VJers!!! Wish y'all the best !! Congratulations! Just a quick question: You got an RFE after it was sent to Montreal? If you don't mind me asking, what was it for? Was this before they sent out P3? For my situation the appointment line only says "Appointments are not Available," but does not include when they are making appointments for kids. Canada	Booking Appointment	Hi Amberlynnloves, I am curious as to how you know that they are booking for November? If they were, wouldn't I be able to snag one of those appointments? And yes, I have been through all the steps and paid all the fees. I have already post my story:) When you log into the CSC Montreal Embassy website, http://usvisa-info.c...immigrant_visas you go to the top of the page where it says "Sign In" You enter the beneficiary's passport number, date of birth, nationality, and then it brings up a page. You then click "Schedule An Interview". It asks you if they are Canadian Citizen, or Non-Canadian Citizen. Then you select Non-Immigrant or Immigrant (K1 Select Immigrant). Then you click on the option that has (Fiance-K1/K2) next to it. It brings you through some pages just click Continue. Then it should bring you to a page where you select an interview date. The time of day means NOTHING but before it brings you to the calendar, if you look under the beneifiary's name on the top square it should say "Next Available Interview Date is 60 days Away" Thats how I know they are scheduling for November 5th. 60 days from today is November 5th. Have you sent P3 and received authorization to book your appt? You have to go to the CSC Montreal Embassy website and sign up for the interview. You have to pay the required $240 visa fee, and they you should be able to book one. They are booking for the first of November right now. Have you done these steps yet? Canada	Anyone booked interview at Montreal lately?	I don't know how you pick a date since my fiance did it and not me. When I go to reschedule, it brings up a statement saying the next date available is... and if I continue through, I lose my original date so I'm not risking that unless it says there's an earlier date available. Did you send out your P3? It took us a week to receive P4 after that and we booked the date the day after. Yeah we sent out P3 on the 27th. I called DOS today and they still have not logged it in Montreal as received. So I don't know what to think! Ugh! I hope thats normal. Possibly with the long weekend its just taking a few extra days. My fiance' sent it regular mail though instead of Loomis/DHL so I am just hoping that its taking a bit longer for that and no other reason like they lost it or something. Could be anything. But yeah we need a certain block of days in November. Its important to both of us that I am there with him and thats the only time I could get off work. So I am just praying that its available. And from the sounds of it, we should be ok. But I didn't know if there was like a calendar that you picked the day. I know the time of day doesn't matter because its first come first serve. Once you schedule your appt is there something you print off to show your appt date? Canada	Montreal interview dates 2012	Hi Guys, I am now very confused. Here is the packet 4 I received telling me to book my interview through the CSC website. NOTE: my wife was living in Canada at the time of our petition and we filed our petition at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal. My profile reads 'Filing Location: Embassy' because I could not find a anything for Montreal. Please let me know if I am supposed to be using the site http://canada.usvisa-info.com to book my interview or should I be calling one of the numbers mentioned above. Your guidance would be uber appreciated. To be honest, this looks like the K1 (Fiance Visa) Packet 4.....How odd. Canada	Packet 3 and then some...	1 - I've noticed that some people's package has been logged in Montreal really quickly after it was sent off by the NVC... should I start calling immediately, or give it the week that's suggested in the main thread? (Really, I mostly want to know if I'm going to piss anybody off if I call too soon, and they'll put some sort of note on the file... LOL, I'm pretty sure that's a negative and I'm just being paranoid... but better safe than sorry, right?) I started calling about 3 business days afterwards. Not going to lie, I was wanting to know too! No one got mad and I don't think they black listed me for me! [/b] 2 - So then, I know I have to wait for packet 3 to be noted as sent out before I send the package into them. Some threads say to send all the forms, and others say to just send certain things (like the photocopy of the passport page and the photos)... which is the correct way to do it, and will there be any problems if I just send everything in, and then bring additional copies to the interview? If you go to the Montreal Embassy Website, search K1 Packet 3, it will give you a 2 page PDF file. The first page is what is needed as far as forms are concerned. The 2nd page is things you need to bring to interview. The 2nd page just needs to be signed, dated and checked off showing that you have gotten all the things gathered. The first page list with all the forms, need to be printed out (the forms) and mailed in with the checklist (page 2) as Package 3. Do not worry about sending pictures/evidence etc. 3 - This is a really dumb series of questions, but the website says "complete and print online" : 1-I can't actually EMAIL these in, right? I just have to be hooked up to a printer to have hard copies? 2-Is there a way to save the documents after they're completed, just so that I have a record? Or is the best way to just scan the copies after I've printed them? You CANNOT email to Montreal. It'd do no good. I'd just print off 2 copies of every form. Make sure they are all signed, dated and complete. Sorry, these are probably REALLY stupid questions, I just want to make sure I do everything right after waiting all this time! [b]No stupid questions here! Just hang on because once you send package 3, thats the WORST wait of the entire process. Thats where I am right now. UGH! We sent it August 27th and as of 8:30AM this morning, they still did not have it logged. Makes me nervous because we just sent it regular mail. Which I'm sure is slower than the DHL/Loomis Courier. Canada	Football (NFL) vs Hockey	This actually made me laugh. My fiance is in Canada. He is a HUGE Leafs fan. As well as the Blue Jays. And unfortunately the Buffalo Bills. Well, I don't care much about hockey, went to a few Blue Jays games with him, even when they played my Tigers in Toronto! In order to give a little in our relationship, I have my Maple Leaf and Blue Jays window decals...right next to my Detroit Lions decals. Today, my fiance mentioned me getting a Buffalo Bills decal. I about FREAKED OUT! Like, NO! I gave you the Maple Leafs, I gave you the Blue Jays...(I don't even have a Tigers decal yet!). And now you want.....the Bills? LIKE WHOA! Hang on there Mister! My pink Detroit Lions logo and my decal of Calvin Johnson's jersey are the ONLY and I mean ONLY NFL decals going on my car...unless I can get a REALLY big Lion for the back window. How dare he ask to have the Bills on my car?!?! Ugh! I about threw a fit. Well, ok I did throw a fit! HAHAHAHAHA Oh Canadians, how I love them. In all fairness, I am very glad that I have a man who LOVES sports as much as I do! It brings us together. When we went to the Blue Jays/Tigers game in Toronto, we wore our Tigers t-shirts. And I promised him, when we go to the Blue Jays/Tigers game in Detroit, I'll wear my Brett Lawrie shirt with pride! I don't have much to add to the hockey/NFL teasing...but you could throw in a "RUN PHIL KESSEL" every now and then!
