And I agree with wholeheartedly, when I see petitions from Feb & March it makes me a little sad. Waiting anxiously for our NOA2. Is anyone else already planning their wedding ceremony? This loooonnng first step has kind of put a money wrench in our plans. But everything in God's own time.   When I first started the process I tried to make those plans--but was soon warned it wouldnt be wise because the process could take up to 10 months even--I didnt want to believe it at first--but now Im starting to understand--it really sucks--Im going to see my fiance the end of the month but this was my planned last trip so that I can save money and prepare for his arrival--but yes when you see people with Feb and March already approved and us Dec/Jan filers still wait--it is disheartening	Ashley903	Female	Barbados	2013-07-06 07:57:00

I visited Barbados twice, but briefly--cruise and lay over. I actually just got a list of nearby hotels. I will look into those on orbits as you advised. I'm a March filer at VSC. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	how does the transfer work?	Okay so I'm a January Filer, and in the end of June my Fiance and I were transferred to Texas. We recieved our hard copy of the transfer notice in the mail about a week later. Do we start the waiting process over? Everyone is starting to get their NOA2s and if needed RFEs, yet we continue to wait. Is there a number besides the stupid customer service line to call? when we call there they just tell us the case has been tansferred and is in process. I want to speak to someone who knows something or can tell me something. Who do we contact? I also found out from the immigration officer. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	They forget to send NOA2 hard copy???	Hi Ashley,    Don't wait  30 days until you ask for request!!! This morning around 10am I called USCIS and immediately ask for tier 2 representative, the lady tier 1 rep was very nice and polite but she ask me why and what's supposed to be the problem. So then I explained to her that I havent received my NOA2 hard copy yet and I was approved last july 8. She then suggest to place a service request herself instead of me waiting on the phone for the tier 2 representative. So I said ok and I ask her if this will go to the Service Center and she said yes. Also on her screen my status was still in Initial Review and I ask her why and she said the center was probably too busy with the approvals that they were not able to update it. Anyway she believed me when I said I was approved and then she ask me for all my information needed for the service request. Overall I think she was the nicest USCIS rep I have ever talk to, like she really love her job as a customer support representative. So did I make the right decision of letting her do the Service Request instead of waiting for the tier 2 representative to assist me? Because base from the comments Ive been reading from VJ members ,they dont really a trust tier 1 rep especially the information they give.   Thanks for this--I called today and spoke to a tier 2 and he again for the third time confirmed I was approved on 7/6/13 and will put in a servce request to receive my noa2--he stated an "approval notice" was ordered but guess it never went out.  Keep me updated if you receive your hard copy and I will as well Edited by Ashley903, 23 July 2013 - 04:37 PM. I was one of the filers who got approved without receiving any electronic notifications such as email/text/website, however I received an approval thru a tier 2 representative. Problem is its been 2 weeks now since my approval date and still no hard copy of NOA2 in mail. Should I be worried? Is the tier 2 rep lying about my case which is not actually approved?  What should I do? I know hard copies were usually received wihtin a week. Damn this is so stressful and depressing. I need to take a vacation asap.   I have the exact same issue as you--my online status at the point still shows "initial review"  I called on 7/16 and a Tier 2 rep confirmed it was approved on 7/6/13--I was a little hesitant and called again and was reassured it was in fact approved.  The NOA2 can take up to 30 days to be received and I was advised that if I do not receive the NOA2 bu 8/5/13 that I can request another.   Hopefully we will receive ours soon. I was told it was approved, but until the website got updated last night, nothing else indicated my petition had been approved. We got a call on the 12th July by the GA congressman's office saying that our application had been approved on the 8th July - yet nothing online had been approved or any notification of any kind had been sent via email, post, text etc. I wasn't going to celebrate too early because i wanted to know for sure by USCIS. So i got my fiance to call and speak to a tier 2 rep on the 15th July - they confirmed we had indeed been approved on the 8th. I don't think he asked about the notifications etc though.   Anyway, on the 22nd we got an email saying On July 22, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly. Our status only updated today online that it was POST DECISION ACTIVITY. It skipped right over DECISION. We still haven't received our NOA2 but i have a feeling it was only posted out on the 22nd. So I will give it a week or two before i worry that it has been misplace.   So in short, I wouldn't freak out. I think they may just be a little slack with the updates.    Thats what I am hoping will happen--once they actually "ship" our approval packages off to NVC the site will then update--the huge question is when--you were approved on the 8th and they shipped it a couple days ago--so with me being approved on the 6th this will hopefully happen soon enough. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 confirmed by Tier 2 Rep	On the 15th of July I called and spoke to a Tier 2 rep as well. He seemed as though I was bothering him but he did eventually tell me that I had been approved on July 6. I wanted to verify that since July 6 was a Saturday. He also said that he was unsure of when my NOA2 would be sent to me because it was dependent on how quickly the adjudicator updated my status in the system. I then called back on the 19th, seeing ad the 20th would have been two weeks from my approval and by this time my petition should be on its way to NVC. I spoke to another Tier 2 IO and he was much sweeter and really helpful.HHe said he was going to but in service request for me and put me on hold. He came back to the line and told me that TSC is asking that I give them until August 3 to receive my NOA2 and for them to transfer my case to DOS/NVC. I'm seeing that the first batch of TSC transfers are getting their NOA2's after they have sent our packets to NVC. I feel like I've lost at least 3 weeks because of TSC not submitting our petitions soon after they are approved. I have another 2-3 months left in this K1 phase and each week is precious to us. I'm frustrated but reminding myself hourly that everything happens in God's own time. When I explain the problem to Tier 1 she said she could help me.   You have to be persistent-and let them know you still wish to speak to an officer and that you have waited the normal processing time--blah blah blah--eventually they will transfer you.   The tier 2 officers can actually see your case--if it werent for me even speaking to one I would still think to this day my file was still being reviewed since it never updated--the front rep cant see your approval. They also advised it can take up to 30 days to receive the NOA2. Have u check the uscis.gov website Yes it still shows this :   The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.   The tier 2 rep had stated that this is a system error but their records in fact indicate it was approved. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 confirmed by Tier 2 Rep	I wanted to start a forum for people who were approved via talking to a Tier 2 rep but the online case status still shows "Intial Review"  I was told I was approved on 7/6/13--but have yet to receive a text/email/online update or anything to confirm this. I have not received my hard copy of NOA2.  Any one out there with this similar circumstance?   Lets keep eachother updated!     My K-1 Journey: 06/24/2012: Met my soulmate while on vacation 09/14/2012: My Fiance proposed and I accepted 01/28/2013: I-129F packet mailed 01/29/13: Packet received at local field office 01/31/2013: NOA1 Date 02/04/13: NOA1 (E-mail) 02/06/13: Alien Number Changed 6/21/13: Case transferred to TSC 7/6/13: NOA2 (per immigration officer)	Ashley903	Female	Barbados	2013-07-23 13:11:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	VISA APPROVED!!	Congrats!   It is been 4 months that I never got a chance to visit VJ page because I was so depressed after I was failed on my medical exam at Saint Luke last July 22. My interview in USEM Manila was moved because I need to undergo Sputum Exam. Plus I need to wait for 2 months for the culture test. I thanked God that the result last October 7 is negative. My interview in USEM under CR1 category was scheduled yesterday October 10. I thanked God, My visa was APPROVED! YAY!
