K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Got the NOA1, few questions now	It's always good to make a copy of everything that you send to USCIS and the consulate etc. In case something goes wrong or they lose something and just for your own personal records. My husband sent me a renewed letter of intent to take to my interview too. We filed at the end of feb, NOA1 was March 2nd. We got our NOA2 on June 7th. There were people waiting longer than us though, especially those going through VSC. We were through CSC. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I-129 Packet	Copy all of the passport stamps the two of you have and copies of the boarding passes that you can actually find. We only had one set of boarding passes to send with our I-129F and it was fine, we photocopied my passport stamp also. We sent my travel itinerary just because we had it there and thought we might as well. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	One-way or Round-Trip Ticket	It's perfectly fine to buy either one. A lot of people buy round trip tickets as it is often a lot cheaper. I was going to but ended up getting lucky and finding a good one way one If you do buy a round trip ticket though, make sure you cancel the return flight or make it for a date quite far ahead in the future. For instance, if you get the return ticket and the return date is a week later and you didn't cancel your ticket than immigration may still think that you left the country. Mine didn't have that on there, only the visa expiration. An approved K-1 petition expires four months from approval but the visa doesn't expire until six months after issue. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA2 1/31/12 NVC Still does not have application	When we got our NOA2 my husband waited about two weeks before he started calling NVC, It was about a month after our noa2 before they actually told him the case number. I've heard of some people waiting even longer too. .....just a thought i had talking about NVC, we never did get a letter from them in the end, lol. I guess they do it that way to make it easier, saves people sending their petitions to the wrong service centers etc. Also, if one is particularly busy they can try to even out the work load a bit. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	PLEASE HELP	think of it this way, when you file taxes, which children do you claim as dependants? If you claim all of them as dependants, than you need to list them all as dependants on the I-134. So, say that all of them are still dependent on you, that's 3 children + your fiancee+ you, your household size is five. they go by gross income too, not net. When i did my facebook messages i just copied and pasted certain parts of conversations into microsoft word and then printed them off like that. It weighed a tonne, lol. In the end they never ended up looking at any of it but i'm of the opinion that if you don't take everything, then they're going to ask to see everything. I received my NOA2 about 12 days ago. since then I have been calling NVC to get my case number but they have all the time told me that it could take bout 8 weeks for them to receive my case . has any one been in the same situation? Is it really gonna take 8 weeks for NVC to receive my case? are they oing to give me my case number as soon as the receive the case or am I going to need to wait more even after that? You've no timeline so correct me if i'm wrong, but you got your NOA2 early Feb, usually it will then spend a few weeks at NVC so they've probably only just sent it on to Sydney. The letter from NVC, when was it dated? I probably wouldn't be worrying yet, it took a couple of weeks after our petition left NVC before we got packet three and it was at NVC for a month too. It can often take a month or more to get the police certificate back, if they schedule your interview too soon you may have to change it. I suppose the worst that can happen if you send it without the police clearance is that they'll just tell you they won't give you packet four until they get it. We used a co sponsor for K-1 and i didn't realise that my husband still needed to fill out the I-134 as well (stupid oversight) so when i got my packet four email they just added it onto the list of stuff that i needed to bring to my interview. Australia and New Zealand	Transferring Money when you move	I used my westpac card when i was int he US the first time and before i left i checked with my bank about what atm's i should use when i was there. They told me to only use the Bank of america ones as it had the lowest fees. was only a few dollars to withdraw money. Australia and New Zealand	Transferring Money when you move	I used both banks and Paypal. The transfer fee for Westpac to Bank of America as i recall was $50 ($25 at each end). I suppose because you did IR1 it's a little different but for K-1 you get packet three and packet four. I know we're from different states, but when i got my fingerprints done i didn't even know i was supposed to make an appointment, lol. I just walked into my local police station and said i needed police check and fingerprints. They were like 'wellll, usually you need an appointment....but we'll do it anyway'. Mine was a regional one too, guess i went in at the right time because they were pretty quiet. Maybe you could try just walking in somewhere if all else fails? Australia and New Zealand	More Questions!	Are you talking about the DS-230 that you already sent and they haven't got? I wouldn't worry about it too much. I sent mine before i sent the rest of my packet three stuff but when i got my interview letter they said they haven't received it yet. It's not a big deal, just take another copy with you to the interview. They take a while to match things up with your file sometimes. As far as i know you send the DS 156 and DS156K with packet three, that's what i had to do. I think one of them you have to send two copies but i can't remember which it is... Australia and New Zealand	AOS interview tomorrow	Just go prepared with everything and you will be fine! We took a copy of our complete AOS package with us plus extra financial stuff ( we were worried about that part so decided to be over prepared), stuff showing that we live at same address plus about ten or fifteen wedding photos. Was a fairly simple interview and all we had to show was the stuff showing that we live together and joint finances and the wedding photos.
