Hello,

Me and my SO are filling for the K-1 at the end of the month (Can't wait!)

However, being the paranoid type, I like to read ahead....wayyyy ahead. And I noticed for when you get the NOA2, they request more proof of an ongoing relationship...only this time it's from NOA1-present. I MIGHT be going to visit him within that time frame (Will have photo's and such if I do), but if I don't...we don't really have much proof. I talk to him over the internet, using a program called Ventrilo (basicly an online phone)....so there's no phone bills, or emails really, because we are ALWAYS talking on that program. Unless we are at work, we text. Will that suffice?

Thanks smile.gif

It is not paranoid to plan ahead. But I believe you have mis=read something. They do not ask for proof of ongoing realtionship with the petition (I-129f) though some people choose to send it. The I-129f asks for evidence of meeting in person one time in the last two years, that is all. Proof of ongoing realtionship will be asked for at the visa interview. Have some.

You will need to do SOME of your communication by a means that generates evidence, phone calls, emails, etc. Even a pen and paper and postage stamps.

May i ask....... would it help if they )or me and my Fiance) set up a bank account togethar after filing the I-129F?? i find myself in a similar situation

I do not think a bank account will suffice as proof. I had the same question once before. I dont think it proves anything unfortunately. sad.gif

QUOTE (Kimbear @ Jul 28 2009, 11:31 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
it really depends.. a few of the march filers didn't see anyting until they got the actual hardcopy letter in there mailbox and not the email type of mailbox. others have just gotten an email, and pretty much most of them are still showing as received and pending on the uscis online site.

i have no idea what is going on with CSC...april 27ppl are being approved and i'm still waiting..sigh. sad.gif

I am in the same boat as you sad.gif
Here's hoping that we get ours soon....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresUK unemployed
QUOTE (Chaz and Riggs @ Aug 3 2009, 03:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So, my UK citizen fiance says its a terrible idea to get on Job seekers allowance in order to get a job, because it would make him look bad and get him turned down for the K-1 Visa at the interview. I make enough money to support us both, and he's not going to go on unemployment in the US when he gets here, but should he stay home and not work? He says going on Job Seeker's is the fastest and best way to get a job in England, and its almost impossible for him to find work without being able to go to the job centre. I don't understand this whole thing. Would he really get denied for being on job-seekers?

My UK citizen fiance is on Job Seekers allowance right now in England. I dont believe it will hurt anything. He is an electirican and was layed off due to the economy so what else is he to do?! Surely they understand being unemployed in these times...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSenator/ congressman contact question
QUOTE (TucsonBill @ Aug 7 2009, 11:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
You say "almost everyone else in March is getting their approvals" and I notice you filed yours the END of March. I'd give it more time. If you start bugging your congressman now, they might get annoyed in the event you REALLY need them for something. This process takes a lot if time and you have to learn to be patient, otherwise, you are just going to drive yourself crazy.

True. But with CSC currently processing those who filed at the end of April now, it just makes me a bit nervous. Well.. good news being that in about 3 weeks we will have hit the 5 month point, which is the current processing time for CSC on their website so we can actually start inquiring then anyway smile.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSenator/ congressman contact question
Hey guys,

Question about when should I have a congressman/senator's office call the USCIS for me to check on my I-129F?
Do they have to wait til the wait time (5 months) is expired as well, or can they inquire now??

I just feel like I have been totally skipped over since almost everyone else in March is getting their approvals and we havent even been touched or anything!!

I appreciate the info smile.gif

With the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) just remember that the rules changed sometime last year and you now have to register online BEFORE leaving. here's the website:

https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/

Good luck biggrin.gif

I had no idea about this! How long does this application take!?

It only takes a few minutes. Its just an online thing so that in the system they know the person will be coming over for a visit. My fiance does it all the time before visiting the US from England. In fact he just did one the other day because he is leaving to come visit me TOMORROW!! WOO HOO!!! smile.gif
