Africa: Sub-Saharan	what next after NOA2 at USA embassy in Ghana	Not really. My fiance did eventually did get the letter, but it was after he took the email response from my inquiry to pick up his package. Your Petitioner should get the approval (NOA2) at his mailing address. I cant think of anything else that got mail so you should be good. I am assuming you did put your home address on there. For my fiance it was 2 different addresses which probably is the same for you. Mailing addresses are different from the physical address in Ghana right? They did not provide a space for both addresses so we attached a cover letter with our package explaining our mailing and physical address. To play it safe you can have your fiance call and explain the situation and maybe they can add your mailing address. Once approve just make sure you send email to the ghana embassy to inquire about the staus of package. Send your inquire to ivdvaccra@state.gov Here is a sample email of what to include: I John Doe, the petitioner am writng to inquire to whether my I-129 petition for K1 Visa was receive at post: ACCRA, EMBASSY OF THE U.S VISA UNIT IN ACCRA GHANA? The case number is ACC0000000. Africa: Sub-Saharan	what next after NOA2 at USA embassy in Ghana	Hi Ama, I am the petitoner. I received a letter that the petiton was approved and was being forwarded to NVC. Once I knew that I was calling NVC like twice a week or more to find out if my package was sent to Ghana. Once NVC do their checks they will send to US Embassy in Ghana. I sent a email to the embassy in Ghana and they let me know that they had recevied it and that the beneficiary was sent a letter to pick up package 3/4. they also instructed that if he has not receive the letter that he could pick up his package on 08/25/10 and to bring a copy of the email they sent with I.D. the package includes all the forms and instructions of what to do next. All the forms we receive in our package were expired. make sure to check for that. If they are expired go online and get the up to date forms. For the DS 156 you will fill that one online anyway. Africa: Sub-Saharan	Medicals	i will recommend holy trinity to you because thats where i had my medicals and it was grt. Go with 3 passport pic with a white background and the normal size will do. Remember to go with your passport. I got the call this morning and the lady requesting my postal address, in Ghana we don't have home deliveryso the lady ask for my P.O.BOX address and said they will send me instruction on how to pick my packet, but the number is appeared unknown on my cell phone In the initial application I put my home address there and I think that is why they are asking for the P.O.BOX one , maybe they are changing now , I emailed them two weeks ago and have not received any reply from them yet though you dnt need to worry abt this, because i was also called wt an unknown number asking for my mailing address after they received my packets. but i will say to be on the safer side have ur fiancee email the embassy and ask them to email a copy of the pickup letter to her, so in that case even if u dnt receive the receive the letter in the mail, u can print the letter they send to ur fiancee and take wt u to the embassy and pick up ur packets. here is a sample letterr ur fiancee can email to the embassy. send it to ivdvaccra@state.gov I …………….., the petitioner am writng to inquire to whether my I-129 petition for K1 Visa was receive at post: ACCRA, EMBASSY OF THE U.S VISA UNIT IN ACCRA GHANA? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	new procedures at ghana embassy	I've been trying since last Wednesday to get an interview appointment date in Ghana....Did everything they said and still keep hitting brick walls....This is all so wrong, the interview date should have been in the packet when it was picked up on March 30th as they stated it would be on the email. No body communicated this new process to us. Visa fee paid and we have the DS160 confirmation # number and we still can't get an interview date. This is so messed up and I'm tired of wasting my money on the phone trying to get people to understand what I'm saying and when they finally get it, they tell you to contact the embassy. I believe it was a successful interview and you'll be approved with your visa when you submit your passport and Police cert with the neccessary amendment. PROCEDURE: 1. I made my payments for physicals, i was asked to sit some where, and wait till am called for my Blood Pressure, Height and Weight. NB: Anytimes u go for your blood pressure make sure u ask the one reading it, if is the reading is good, if he says no, dont make him record, just tell him you will like to sit and relax a little and come back to get the right reading. I asked if my reading was good and he said yes. 2.I went and pay for my vaccinations, and went to see a nurse who prepared me a vaccination card and i told him that i have taken a Tetanus, shot already on 4th NOv, 2011 cos i step on a nail, so she agreed so it was taken out so that i dont get a double shots, later i told her that i have already done my hepatitis b test,and i brought my vaccination card to back what i was saying that was when she told me hepatitis b vaccine has been taken out. So i went a made a payment of 143gh and later went to see another nurse who vaccinated me. Later went for my height and weight, make sure u empty your pockets, fons,keys ect out and stand on the scale 3. PHYSICALS WITH THE DOCTOR:I was asked to go and see the doctor for my physicals. I said good morning to him and he responded looking at me, first he asked when i sat was: Medical Doctor Interview: * How old are you * Bring your passport * Do you smoke? *Do you Drink? * Have you been admitted in a hospital before, i said YES *What for? Malaria * Have you involved yourself in a fight before? * Have you done any surgery? EYE TEST: Do you have eye problem? I said NO! Always say no even if you have becos when you say yes he would request that you go and do an eye test some where which will attract another fee.To avoid the time wasting, just say NO. Confirm Eye Test. he asked me to place one hand in on my eye and requested i mention some letters and numbers on a sheet out, which i passed Physical Exam: He will ask you to take your shirt and go on the bed NB: Whiles you are doing that he is observing you to make report, to see if you have difficulties, in moving your arms, and also he will ask you to climb the bed, he is still watching. I laid on the bed and he touched my belly, lungs, used his stethoscope on my chest and quickly asked that i get up and put my shirt on. 4. X RAY: i went down to do my x ray which took like less than 5mins 5. Went back to the reception, where i was told when to pick up my report for my interview. TIME SPENT: LESS THAN 1HR30MINS I met a girl who we chat for a while and i got to know she was refused a visa January,and was there for another medical for another appointment based on appeal and i gave her VJ to go and check it, and prepare for it. I pulled out our packet 3 and 4 (12/2010) Forms you will get: Appointment Letter DS- 156k DS- 156 (needs to be filled out online) I-134 (tax transcripts, and other supporting docs) DS-230 Part 1 and 2 Instructions for medical, police certificate, payment of fee, and passport pictures, Birth certificate (make sure they have a new one) If applicable: military records, divorce records Do not use the forms they give you- print them from the site. They do not give the newest ones usually. I am planning on going to Ghana in two days to be there for the interview. Please tell your fiance to go the birth and death registry in Accra near the independence square. Africa: Sub-Saharan	Med, Police report for Interview	I would start medicals about 6-8 weeks before interview. It depends on where the yellow card is from and if they will accept it. You won't know until you go. But you can call and inquire before going. But the exam and xrays have to be done there. Request the Police Certificate one month before interview, it can be picked up between 10-14 days. They will not accept one that is more then a month old. Good luck!! Thanks for your response. The yellow card is from the Ministry of Health, Ghana. I have my yellow fever immunization recorded in it during the 2011 nationwide yellow fever immunization. I gathered that the Police report could take a month before i get it.
