@ debz: don't stress abt the interview! you have sponsors and you have a good educational background and you make your own money in your homecountry! as far as i know, problems happen, whenever people don't speak english, have no job experience or educational background and the USC is unemployed, phisically and mentally not able to work or anything alike. they see at the interview that nick spent the last 6 months with you. as long as you have a sponsor everything will be just fine smile.gif


about AOS: i will do my homework about that as soon as i have my interview lined up. i have already been to a visainterview because of my J1, so somehow i am not that stressed about it (yet).
we will go to the justice of the peace the day after i arrive, so i can get my working authorarization ASAP.
but yep, it seems to be a lot more complex than the I-129F.

ours is on the way to frankfurt and we hope for package 3 on jan. 3rd or 4th. everything is ready so we can send it back the same day. we were hoping for a 1-week of february interview, but apparently frankfurt slowed down. *shrugs*

Highly unlikely it will take that long. Depends on how fast the german embassy is. Took just under 4 weeks for NVC to get my file from CSC.


the german embassy is usually really fast (as long as it's not vacation time......). but if these stupid bastards as CSC not move their a$$e$ soon, i will WALK there to tell them a story. (sorry, really tense, don't really now E.'s parents yet, and they will be here tomorrow morning......)

for a total of 8 weeks. we are very fortunate that his job allows him to travel to germany so much. but the weekend thing is worse than the 3-month thing. i can stand not seeing him for 3 months, but all the goodbyes every sunday are really hard on me. crazy, isn't it?

I called NVC and DOS last night. they both told me that they got notice that it will take anywhere between 30 and 120 days for our petition to arrive at NVC.

You need to wait until NVC recieves case as you need your embassy specific case number. Once you have this you can book medical, not sure about interview process for philippines.

in germany you can just go to the medical whenever you want. it's a walk-in-thingy, so it doesn't matter if you are approved or not or if it is at the NVC, you can just go and get it done.

I don't know they woman was very vague. Just said that the file was in administrative process and that no timescale could be given. I asked her what for and she said security checks and clearances. I asked if she could give me any guideline of timescale at all and she said well if all goes through smoothly with no glitches could be through in a week or 2 but if there are any glitches could take months.

Think I'm just going to call every couple of days.

Sorry to hear this. I wonder if they select petitions on a random basis to review.

You might want to call DOS and see what they have to say. 202-663-1225 x1, x0. They have access to the information at NVC.

called DOS......they said the woman didn't know what she was saying...it's getting transferred to london today.....the guy "james" told me the only administrative process it went through was looking at passport images and then passed to mailroom. I'm breathing better and the tears of sadness now tears of joy.

You would tower over me. I am barely 5' short. I am considered the runt of the litter because all of my sisters are much taller than me. My 6 year old even has bigger feet than I do - not hard to do when I wear a 2 1/2 in childrens. I am always made fun of because of my small feet and that I am so short. @debz: i am somehow still hoping that they sent all the approved I129's from european-american-relationships in one shipment to NVC. (allowes me to live in the illusion that we will hear from the embassy soon). my job-contract ends december 21st. i was hoping to hear form the embassy at the end of december, and as waiting times for interviews in frankfurt are abt. 3-4 weeks, I was hoping to be with Eric at the end of January/beginning of febuary. so i will be abt as broke as it gets.



plus: the wedding is coming up and all the planning is driving me NUTS. i have basically NOBODY to help me (how stupid was I to not have BM's???????) and i feel as if i am drowning.


i should try to sell a bunch of my stuff on ebay as well. blink.gif i hate giving away MY stuff though.... i mean, it is MY stuff, MY life!! i don't want to pretend as if i didn't have a life until i moved to the US. you know what i mean?

I am with Debz and still waiting for my petition to get to NVC. today is 2 weeks since the approval so I know it could still be a bit. I just check with NVC every day or two anyway because it can't hurt! Just hoping the day that they say 'we do have your petition and it has been forwarded to the embassy' comes soon!!!!

what really gets me is the fact that all my friends and relatives are asking me on a daily basis if i have my visa yet. you just really can't explain the process and all its difficulties to somebody who doesn't experience it.

plus, i start to feel anxious because the visa will be there anytime within the next 3 months. meaning i will leave my family and friends within the next 3 months. i am waiting and praying for the day when i can be with Eric for the rest of our lives, but leaving my family and friends on a different continent really brings the tears to my eyes.

i know that i will get along well in the US and we already lived together in the last year, so i'm not scared of that. but i am scared of homesickness.
can anybody relate to that or am i crazy?

congratulations to all the approvals!

i have to admit though that i am DEAD jealous. people are getting approved who filed after we did, and i want that stupid NOA2 so badly (just like everybody else......)

plus, it's only 4 more weeks until our church ceremony and i really really wanted to have package 3 by that time.

sad.gif i only want to cry an eat chocolate, but chocolate is out of range, otherways i won't fit into my dress.


can anybody give me a NOA2, pls?????
