I guess it really depends on the immigration officer. If he wants to give you a hard time or not.
In case of running into an moody IO....well she does not show any proofs of her returning back to Japan...
Pregnant and Husband in the US, no job, not on a lease....

sorry for sounding so negativ but I just want you to be aware of the situation and so you won't be surprised in case things do not turn out the way you wish/expect.

Good luck!

The name of her ticket MUST match her name in the passport, otherwise they will not let her board the airplane.
To proof that the GC is hers, she should take her marriage certificate along with her.
Sometimes the IO asks for that, sometimes they understand and just want to see the GC.
But make sure that the ticket is carrying the name that matches her passport!

Unfortunately.....vietnamese people LOVES to talk, especially in order to concern you.
Do not worry about it, it sounds really ridiculous....but if it worries you, just tell him to hide his tatoos, piercing during the interview.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)What does your NOA2 say?

Hmm I am really worry now. Our notification did not say anything that the case has been forwarded to NVC. What does this mean? Is it still at CSC?

This was what was in the notification:

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On September 26, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

National Customer Service Center (800) 375-5283.

*****That is just on your e-mail....when you recieve you letter it will state where it was sent to :)

I have a real strange situation here. I have been waiting for 4 weeks now for the NVC to get my case. Today when I called the person asked me what the first line of my NOA2 says. It says:
"The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate."
When I told them that the person said that it will go straight to the embassy. When I said that isn't the usual order they said that some go that way. I called the USCIS and they said the same thing. I asked how I could track my case without a new case number and they directed me to the DOS. I called the DOS and they never heard of such a thing!!!
So here is my question. Please look at your NOA2. Does the first line say it's been forwarded to the consulate or the NVC? If it says the consulate has you gotten notice that it went to the NVC anyway?
Thanks!

Gary, mine says the approved petetion has been sent to the NVC. Strange that they would just send
anything to the consulate. Based on their demonstrated lack of efficiency I would not rest until this
matter is dealt with. The call center people knows as much as we do....if that much. Keep e-mailing,
calling UNTIL this matter is resolved. God Bless.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)email notification from NVC
We just got the email notification today that they received our case from CSC.
Does it mean that it is forwarded to the embassy as well or are we going to get another notification that the case has been sent to the embassy?

Dear Sir or Madam,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Please be advised the NVC case number assigned to xxxxxxxx visa petition is FRNxxxxxx. Please be sure to include the case number in the subject line of all email inquiries.

The NVC has recently received the approved 129F petition filed for a fiancé of a US citizen. The file will be processed in approximately 2-4 weeks and forwarded to the appropriate Consulate General. The Consulate General may or may not request additional information before interviewing the applicant for a K1 non-immigrant visa.

Regards,
National Visa Center

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Any way to check case after receiving case no. from NVC?

After you get the NVC case number you can email the consulate for updates. In my case I will wait at least 45-60 days before even bothering our consulate, I know that they wont even have it in their system until then.

In your case the email address to send inquiries to is: FrankfurtSpecialNIV@state.gov

thank you for the information.
