Hey everyone,
My wife had her biometrics appointment today. It was at 200pm , but we arrived there early. Her whole appointment took less than 10 minutes. I was out waiting for her, and When I saw her I was really surprised......

thea,
I looked at tour time line. We got married in October 2004, and sent our papers in December, 04. Although you sent your papers way earlier than ours, my wife got her greencard in July, 2005. The thing I want to say is how come she got her conditional card earlier than yours? It is interesting.

We are planning to travel , too, but my wife says she will not leave here until she gets her 10 year greencard. She is scared of having a stamp .... I do not know why....

I will let you guys know about our NOA , and etc. Because while we were checking some other timelines we saw that most checks were cashed almost in 30 days.

Just wanted to share what is going on with our application so far. We filed my wife's on May 18th , 2007. Check was cashed on May 24th, 2007. It is pretty quick , we belive. We did not think they would cash the check this soon.

We will let everyone know about our NOA date as soon as we get it.

Thanks

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionApplied on May, 18th 2007 for 751 to Vermont
Hello everyone ,
We applied for my wife's 751 in May, 2007. Had her biometrics done , and that is it. We have not heard anything since then. Our check was cashed a week after we sent papers. It has been 6 months already. They have not contacted us for any additional documents. I think if they needed something they would have contacted us by now, am i right? We prepared all papers carefully by looking at what people have prepared here at Visajourney , and added our daughter's birth certificate. Has anyone filed in May heard from Vermont yet?

Thanks
Brad

Hello,

I applied on May 2nd, 2007 and I just got my approval.
Sometimes there can be delays, but I think you should hear from them soon. I would suggest you call them.
I called them consistently.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply

I will call them on tuesday

Hello
We filed for my wife on May 18th , 2007. And she got a receipt saying her check was cashed and also she got her paper for biometrics and she had it done sometime in June , and she has an extension letter for 1 year. We still have not heard anything. for the greencard. If they needed anything I am sure they would have contacted us , am I right? We have a child in our marriage , and we have sent all other documents . Is it common that it is taking this much time? If we do not get the greencard until 07/25/2008( her extension ends this time)can she immediately apply for the citizenship? we are so confused. What do you think we should do?all help is greatly appreciated
Thanks

Hello
My wife got her approval from Vermont via email on 01/25/2008, and on 01/28/08 she got an email again saying that they also sent her a notice by mail that she was approved. Happily when I checked the mailbox on the 28th the green card was there. We are so overwhelmed. It looks like Vermont is speeding up

Actually, USCIS announced a change of address for Naturalization applications on December 17th. Applications will be automatically forwarded until January 31st after which time the Post Office will do the forwarding. There is a posting about the information in the US Citizenship forum.

But I mean what the fu..k????

IT IS A FREAKING GOVERNMENT FACILITY!!!!

I even put a PRINTED label on it, no hand writing:

USCIS Vermont Service Center
75 Lower Welden Street
P.O. Box 200
St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

?!?!?!?!?!

I don't have time for this #######.

And what worries me most: will I EVER get it back??? I mean I had ORIGINAL affidavits in there!!!!

Call IRS and tell them you are by a fax machine so they could fax you whatever you need in minutes. We applied for my N-400, and we could not find a copy of 2006 tax return. We called IRS and they faxed it to us while we were by a fax machine to make sure we received it.

Good luck
