IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC Filers - September 2014

I don't know whether to be encouraged by the replies on this forum or more discouraged by the September spreadsheets. If you look at the spreadsheets, this month is by far the lowest number of case completes year to date. I have always been a positive person and able to see the bright side of the cloudest situations, but this process has really worn me down. The information on how the cases are reviewed is so blurred. Are they reviewing everything at once when they get to a scan date or each package by scan date +60days individually?

Each package, is 60 days from its scan date. AOS has 60 days and the IV has 60 days. They may be reviewed at the same time, but each is reviewed separately. Think of it as a person has your AOS and another person has your IV. The time may overlap but it may not.

The 60 days is new this summer so that's why people are seeing so few CC's each month.

So I sent my IV in and 60 days will be Oct 18th, however several weeks later I realized that we sent in the wrong police records so I sent the correct one in. Because of this one document my case will be delayed another 60 days? That is what the operator tells me at the NVC. Its crazy to think they will hold up my CC because of one form that is accually there just sent in later than my original package.

If anyone has a suggestion that might help in this situation it would be apprecaited.

Yes because they will checklist you, then have to find this in their mail room and add it to the case file. A checklist always adds 60 days, (hopefully less, most often is) but I would have waited for the checklist to send in the documents.

I know they have it there I called and checked. And I sent my IV cover sheet with it. I've thought that maybe I could call and talk to a supervisor once they reveiw my IV package and inform him/her that it is there already.

Can someone tell me if the bebeficiary will receive email on the IV invoice too, as it was given too in the ds261?
Thanks!

My wife and I both get emails about any notices from the NVC. Even though I was told by an NVC operator only my wife (beneficiary) would receive them.

It's really good to see some movement from the NVC this week. However when I look at the latest spreedsheet case completes for this month, including the couple of CC that I have seen on this thread that are not on the spreadsheet yet, progress is still way down from the may and june numbers at this time.May had 22 CC, June had 19 CC, and July had 15 CC by the 10th of each month. We have three showing on the spreedsheet and I know of a couple of more to bring the total to five or six on the tenth. I'm glad there is some movement but we are miles away from the numbers of the three prior months. I want to see a lot more movement.

Hello all!  I'm still waiting for my IV fee to be invoiced.  Completed DS-261 on 07/16/14; paid AOS fee on 07/19/04.

Anyone else still waiting from those dates?  I'm seeing lots of IV fees being invoiced from later dates :(

Was planning to call next week at the 60 day mark...

You may want to talk call and talk to a supervisor. I did last month and found up that they had skipped mine and were on later dates. She sent an email and within a few hours it was accepted.

Hi guys,

I know this has been said before in this thread but theres 100+ pages and my computer is SO slow.

Annual income on the I-864. Is that after tax or before?

Thanks in advance

It depends on which form you file your taxes on. Be very careful with this one I got a checklist for putting in the wrong amounts. Take the time to get it right it trips up a lot of people.

Yes it is, thank you!

Thank you! I felt silly asking but rather be safe than sorry :)  Yes, I have read that a lot of people get checklist for this particular part so I will make sure I do not leave it blank. Thank you!

Thank you! Yes I read that that section causes much trouble. I understood that I need to provide my total income on this section for all three years I am submitting. Is that correct? Also, can you let me know if you left any areas blank, or put N/A or None? Thanks.

I always put N/A im afraid that if I leave it blank they might say I missed something.

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering if I am eligible to use form I-864EZ? Here are the requirements:

(a) I am the petitioner of the family member sponsored on this form -- YES, I am

(b) I am only using my own earned or retirement income -- (I am using my annual salary as my basis for the petition -- would this be a YES?)

© The sponsored immigrant is the only person immigrating based on the underlying visa petition -- YES, he is the only person immigrating

Thank you!

Yes your are eligible, but please, please pay close attention to the income section when completeing this form. It was confusing to me and I put the wrong numbers and got a checklist for it.

Good afternoon everyone!!
1. I am following Saylins wiki and I have to wait for actual checklist email has anyone sent the corrections without checklist? Have you had any issues if so?
2. My checklist was for part 6 13a of AOS i placed adj income and not total. The checklist is for 2013 but I noticed 2012 and 2011 are also wrong should I correct them to not have issues for another checklist or should I only fix what they asked for???

Anyone please that has had this same issue.

Thanks to all

I had the same issue and received a checklist, I found out it is a common mistake. Yes I would suggest going ahead and sending in the correction as soon as possible.
