National Visa Center (Dept of State)Police record exspiring before interveiw

I sent in my wifes IV pkg, scanned Aug 13. The police report for her exspires Sept 15th. Will the NVC just let my wife bring in an updated police record when she gets her interview?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)New way pakages are being reviewed as starting today.

Just spoke with an operator who informed me that starting today all packages will be reviewed based on the date of the last scan for that case. I sent my IV on 8/8 and RFE  for my AOS on 8/15 and then on 9/9 I sent in a form that I realized I had left out of my package. Nothing will be looked at until they get to the 9/9 date for processing. The 60 day emails we got with the other scan dates mean nothing anymore. This is just so frustrating. So know I have to even longer to see if I have a checklist.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsSending IV documents before invoice

Hello, I spoke to an operator at the NVC last night about this issue and she advised me not to send my IV package until invoiced and paid and do not send it with the AOS coversheet and bar code. She said if I did there was a good chance the paper work would go to the wrong department and that would hold up the process.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportslateness

Its 60 days including weekends and holidays, insted of 30 business days. So its adding about two extra weeks to the process. I confirmed this today with an agent. It is very frustrating and disheartening. However as for me and my wife we just try to lean on our faith and try to focus on whatever positive we can. So many of us are in the same boat on this issue. Hang in there you are almost to the finish line.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsupdate information on the processing times at NVC

I'm as frustrated as anyone about the recent extended processing times at the NVC. That being said I did want to share my phone call to th NVC last night. I called around 5PM EST and spoke with an operator concerning my paperwork at the NVC and was told that currently they are processing June 26th DS-261 forms. Mine was there June 23rd and the operator told me she would send an email to find out why mine was skipped. Later I called to make sure that the email was sent and I was informed that it was and my DS-261 was accepted and my IV fee should be invoiced within a week. Considering everything that was very good news. It seems that there is at least a little movement at the NVC. Lets hope it gets better instead of worst. We have to hang on to whatever ray of hope we can find these days and with all the negative that can be a challenge. I hope this helps someone.

On a side note:  My wife got her palimarary test results from her sputum test and it was negative so we just have to wait two months for the final results.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsDS-261 and DS-260 information ****** pls read

I just got off the phone with the NVC. My ds-261 has been showing incomplete even after it was accepted and my IV bill paid. But as of today I still was not able to fill out my ds-260 (it was not availible). I was to by one operator that even though the ds-261 showed incomplete that would not have an effect on my ds-260 be availible. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!   Just now I was instructed that if my ds-261 shows incomplete then my ds-260 would never be availible. As instructed I sighn the ds-261 electronicly and logged back in and there it was my ds-260 availible.  I hope this helps someone.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC Runaround....sigh...Similar Experience?

several times during this process the NVC has given me incorrect information causing delays in this process. I have been told on thing by one operator only to call back (sometimes the same day) and to that the information given to me was totally false. I would suggest two things. Call back and try speaking to someone else if that does not help you the demand to speak with a suppervison. Two weeks ago I called and was infomed that my ds-261 had been skipped, that operator sent and email to her supervisor and it was processed that day. I hope this helps. I don't know whats going on up there but its not right.

This is one of the hardest things I have ever done also. I know how you feel. Just hang in there and try to focus on what you have to be grateful for. There are a great many of us going thu this and feel the same. For me I hate the wait but I do believe it is making us stronger. Its good to have a place to connect with others like this. Stay strong.

If it was me I would call and demand to speak to a supervisor. I have spoken to operators there who are not even aware that we can pull up this information. Some are professional and educated in what they are doing and some don't seem to have a clue. Be persistant, I would not just accept what they are telling you. Especially if you have proof that what you are saying is true. Good luck.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsIV bill fee payment

Once I paid my IV fee the ds 260 was not availible to me because my DS-261 still showed incomplete because I opened the form Ds-260 after I sighned it. So I had to re-sighn it so it would show complete and then the Ds-260 was availible. I re-sighned the Ds-261 after I called and confirmed that my Ds-261 was accepted.

I reveived my IV bill payment invoice via email today. It instructed me to log on to the website in order to pay my fee. However when I did that it has not been updated so I can pay. Does anyone know how long it takes for the bill to show up. I really don't want to send my payment in by mail and prolong what is already a prolonged process.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsUpdate on Spousal Visa...F**K*** Furious

What's chapping my ### is this NVC leg of the process usually took 2 weeks and you could combine your Aff of Support with the civil docs and make both payments at the same or similar time.  And they reviewed them both out in 4 weeks, 2 weeks for each part.  Now 2 months for each part and they have completely seperated it.  Plus another month to get he appointmen at your embassy to get it issued.  This is Absolutely HORSES**T!!!!  So now its another 5 mfing months.  What country are we living that us as citizens get jerked around like this. I feel like I am in the securtiy check line at JFK airport that does not move and ever baby and grandmother is getting stripped searched!!!

I totally understand your frustation. However take a look again at the NVC website. They are changing the whole process. You can send both pkgs in at the same time. My advice is not to listen to everything the NVC operators tell you, half of them don't have a clue about this process. I wish you and all of us the best.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsmedical exam exspiring before interveiw

My wife took her medical exam at the end of July, it was early but we had some concerns about TB and sure enough had to do a sputum test. The test is over and everthing is fine except that she was told the medical exam exspires December 25th. So the concern is that with the new wait times at the NVC she might not get approved before her medical exspires. Does anyone have any exsperience with this?

Question I sent my aos package in June 18 and Iv packet on July 23.

I got a checklist for aos on August and sent it back and scan date 8/27/14.

I receive a email 2 weeks ago...

The NVC has received the requested DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application. However, we are still

waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support. Please return the requested

information so that we may complete your case.

But they don't mention anything about my iv packet?

when I call they said they only waiting to open the package that I sent on august 27.

now I'm scared that they didn't even open my iv packet yet and they will open them together....

If it was me I would ask to talk to a supervisor and try to find out exactly whats going on.

Has anyone, who is not an EP, had a case complete with mutible scan dates all reviewed at the same time?

I just read on another thread, that a lady called NVC today with a scan date of 8/1 and another in September, and was informed that the NVC requested a mutible review of her pkg's but indicated they would do the review on the later date. I really hope they are not doing this to our paperwork. That is crazy!!!

CEAC changed to n/a. Holy moly. I want to call NVC but I don't want to at the same time. I should just wait for an email. But it could mean what it usually means which would be super duper awesome to confirm.

If its true that this is a CC and I really hope it is, its another example that the NVC operators have no clue what is really going on in this process. I have three items ready for review sent on three different dates. I was told today that it would be 60 days for each item. One is my IV pkg then my AOS pkg and one other doc I forgot to send but remembered later. Scan dates 8/08/2014, 8/20 and 9/9.  This should not be tolerated but who do you talk to that can change it. And for those who would say this case is different because its EP, my reply is that all our infomation is scanned in, it should be just as easy to look at one file as another.

not much movement at all today :(  they been cc 5th and 6th since last week... I figure we would move some what today.. Maybe tomorrow will be the day 7th and 8th?

I just looked at the spreadsheet and if it is up to date there are twenty cc for this month and 30+ for August and 30+ for July. I hate to say it but the numbers here (and I know its only a fraction of those aucaully being processed) show the NVC much slower than last month. That is sad considering they kept telling us "they are doing everything they can to catch things up". Even though we are paying them for this service they seem to be responsible to no one. "WE THE PEOPLE" should be given straight answers when it comes to this process.

I'm confused now with what you're saying. So I'm up to the point where I paid my AOS bill, and now waiting for IV bill to become available. If they instructed everyone to send everything together in ONE package, why would anyone send things separately? As soon as I send the IV payment and get the barcoded sheet, I'll send it all together, or am I wrong??

If you read on the NVC site the process has just changed within the last week or so. You used to have to send pkgs seperate, however as I understand it now you send them together.

I just spoke to them this morning, my scan date is also 8/8 and still give me the whole 60 days wait.

I spoke to NVC today and got the same ol song. 60 days. In the past I have spoken with some nice operators who were very informative, but here lately they have been rude, uncaring and very unwilling to give any info other than we have recieved mail and it will be at least 60 days to review. Very discouraging. This site is the only light in the tunnel.

Keep in mind the info we are following on here is just a fraction of what is actually being worked at NVC. To me it doesn't matter how many CC's there have been but rather the submission dates of the packets when there is a CC.

Yes I do understand that and it is encouraging to see the dates get closer. Thank you

charlie0225MalePhilippines2014-09-27 18:35:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC Filers - September 2014

I don't know whether to be encouraged by the replies on this forum or more discouraged by the September spreadsheets. If you look at the spreadsheets, this month is by far the lowest number of case completes year to date. I have always been a positive person and able to see the bright side of the cloudest situations, but this process has really worn me down. The information on how the cases are reviewed is so blurred. Are they reviewing everything at once when they get to a scan date or each package by scan date +60days individually?

Each package, is 60 days from its scan date. AOS has 60 days and the IV has 60 days. They may be reviewed at the same time, but each is reviewed separately. Think of it as a person has your AOS and another person has your IV. The time may overlap but it may not.

The 60 days is new this summer so that's why people are seeing so few CC's each month.

So I sent my IV in and 60 days will be Oct 18th, however several weeks later I realized that we sent in the wrong police records so I sent the correct one in. Because of this one document my case will be delayed another 60 days? That is what the operator tells me at the NVC. Its crazy to think they will hold up my CC because of one form that is accually there just sent in later than my original package.

If anyone has a suggestion that might help in this situation it would be apprecaited.
