I don't particularly go for Marco Antonio or the guy from Lost. They don't do anything for me.....but, that was what she wanted, so I gave it to her.

Everyone knows how I feel about the Rock. I like Ryan Reynolds. (has anybody seen the Amityville remake with him in it as the dad?- jeez, he took his shirt off 3 or 4 times and I loved it!) I think I will look for that pic, now. I am glad I reminded myself!!!

Hope you like the next pic, Jackie. ;)

You ladies have yet to post a photo of someone that I find attractive. Am I the only one that doesn't think any of these guys are hot? ESPECIALLY the one from Lost.

 You are not the only one, but I think Jackie likes them, so she deserves to see them.
Make a request and I will do my best to find someone you like. What's your flava? ;)

Here is a funny (and true) story about my mom and my stepdad that happened a couple of years ago. Enjoy.

My mom and stepdad were having a conversation about my sister and I and our teenage rebellious times. My stepdad had thought about it a lot and decided that it was best to start a conversation with my mom about their options. The conversation went something like this.

He: Honey, I think the best thing for the girls would be to join the circus.

She: Huh?

He: Well, don't get me wrong. I know it is not for everyone. And, it can be dangerous at times. But I have thought about it a lot and I think that they would be happy there.

She: (starts to puff up a little) What's wrong with you?

He: I'm just trying to say that the experience would be good for them. They would get to travel, meet new people, learn how to do different jobs, and they would get lots of exercise.

She: I'm not putting up with this! How can you suggest that?

He: It's the circus, baby. They take care of eachother there. I know they would be uncomfortable at first, but eventually I think they would see that they belong to the group. It won't be that bad. They could always come visit us when they are in town.

She: Stop it! I'm not talking about this with you! My kids misbehave sometimes, but they don't belong in no DAMN CIRCUS!!!!!!

He: :lol: :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

She: What's so damn funny?! :ranting: I just might throw something at you, you know.

He: I said............. I think the kids should join the SERVICE! As in the Army, etc............. You are so funny!

Hmmmm. Now what can I contribute? Inspired by Jackie's comment on tattoos/piercings.

Oh my goodness! That looks so scary. I am so glad you guys are ok. God bless you guys and the other parties as welll. I feel so bad for the guy on the motorcycle.

I witnessed my boyfriend get hit by a car while making a left turn on his motorcycle, and he died later at the hospital! This brings back some awful memories!

OMG blink.gif

I can't even imagine how horrific that must have been............

It was pretty awful. He was wearing a helmet, but he landed on his head and the fall broke his neck. I was following him in the car to take the bike to the repair shop.

Anyway. So, that makes me worry about the poor guy on the motorcycle and Meriem you should check out your injuries, too! They could turn out to be pretty serious.

Good luck and health to you guys.

Wow. Allousa, yard work will keep you trim. I am happy that you are working yourself towards your goal! The only good thing about the babies waking up so early, is that they either sleep early or take a nice nap in the afternoon. (which you may not get to enjoy cause he's with grandma wacko.gif ) So, next time just look at it as a "Go to bed early Card "!

Jackie, I know you are psyched about this weekend and I hope you enjoy it soo much! The hot tub sounds terrific! wink.gif

Today is a lazy day for us. We slept all day, but we woke up to some piping hot homemade pizza! Thanks Ma! It was delicious.

Have a good weekend, everybody.

Great news good.gif What airline are you traveling with? I will be going to Egypt in November too! And im looking for a great deal. I will leave Nov 25 thru Dec 23.

I actually found a great deal through Northwest through Cheap Tickets. I always do a 30 day search for the length of trip and assess the best deal..I am flying to Amsterdam....have a long layover....and early am arrival and departure but like another said, who cares I will see my SO....

I am so excited thanks everyone for the support!!!!

Have fun Melinda! My first trip to Egypt, we flew Northwest->KLM and we had a long layover as well. I believe from 10-9pm. Anyway, what we did is we went out into Amsterdam and came back at about 2 hours before flight time. I assume you are flying into Schipol? If so, it is a very user-friendly airport. We NEVER ride public transportation anywhere when we travel, but we did at Schipol and it was super easy to do. Just follow the yellow arrows to customs and on the floor you will find the booths to buy tickets for the train. Simply purchase your ticket and take the elevator down to the metro. You will want the main train station stop and from there, if you want to take a boat ride, you go to a tourism office and buy a ticket for a boat leaving "Lover's dock" and take a boat ride. Also, you can buy a ticket for the central tram and go visit the Anne Frank Museum and walk around the city as we did. Too, we had lunch at a place called the Pancake House , http://www.pancake.nl/ that
was near to the Anne Frank museum. The tram drivers are very nice and just ask them to tell you when it is your stop and they will. Too, Schipol has things for you to do as well. There is a mini-museum, lots of good stores, and lots of lockers to leave your carry-on as we did and plenty of cafés. Now this was almost two years ago,but I think most of this info should still be current.

Have fun!

Wow! I am getting deja vu reading about your guys' plans. Melinda, I had almost the exact same flight with the long layover in Amsterdam and I arrived at 1am (after customs, etc. I was the last one out of the airport at 3am and hubby thought I had missed my flight!!!).

Jodo , you were braver than I was. I wanted to venture out and see something in Amsterdam because it was such an opportunity. But, I was sooooooooo scared to miss my flight. And, I was terrified of getting hurt or lost and noone would be able to help me. crying.gif So I wound up just cruising all of the stores (I wound up just buying some postcards for my nieces jest.gif), taking a nap, and walking a loooooooot! I think I got on the internet for about 15 minutes, but it was EXPENSIVE. ($8 or $12 I think)

And..........the airport (schipol or something like that) is one of the nicest I have ever seen! I haven't seen many, mind you. But it was beautiful and I enjoyed the 7-8 hours I was stuck there! laughing.gif

Round after round of Nicky vs Mosquito is wearing me out! They come after me one at a time. And I have managed to swat-kill 3 of them, but I hate them!!!!!!! awey awey awey

I also took a Naproxen for my itching and pain. But, guess what! There's no mineral water in the house, so I had to take the Naproxen with tap water. Another illness to look forward to the day after tomorrow!

Middle East and North AfricaBack from Jordan
We were in Egypt, but the church was just as scrutinous. The abouna who was gonna baptize me and marry us called my mom from his cell phone to make sure she knew I was getting married! (She didn't answer because it was an unknown # laughing.gif )

We were already married at the ministry of justice, but the preist told us that he could be using me and that we should live together as brother and sister until he could marry us. wacko.gif Anyway, the whole backwardness of that situation is that if he was really using me, why would he want to get married in the Coptic Church that doesn't allow remarriage after divorce? I guess my husband was gonna travel with me to USA and lose ALL of his morals.

Sorry you had troubles. Hopefully, the finace visa will work out better for you guys!
Good luck and God bless.

I love cabbage and cabbage soup. I hope you make it and look great in your dress!

My favorite way to eat cabbage is fried/steamed with fat back & black pepper and with a big slice of my mom's homemade cornbread with butter slathered inside and dripping down the sides! mmmmmmmmmmmm

That's not diet talk, but I love cabbage & cornbread!

Melinda, I love fresh blackberries!

There was a big blackberry patch/farm (I don't know what they are called) close to my hometown. We used to go and get a quart or two of blackberries a couple of times during the summer. Once, I was craving them terribly and I stopped by after class to buy some. Well, the guy that owned the patch? was nowhere around. I called out and noone answered. I even looked up and down the rows of blackberries (from a distance) and I couldn't find him. There was a little refrigerated trailer that was on his property and I knocked first, then opened the door to see if he was inside. I didn't find him, but I did find two quarts of blackberries!............................................................................
......

sooooo.............I wanted to take them!!!!!But, I didn't have the exact change to pay for them! I was dying!!!! I started digging all around my car to try and find the change I was needing. ( I don't remember how much it was ) And I think I found a dollar between the seats and some quarters in my trunk from laundry day! laughing.gif I must have spent about 30 minutes with my legs hanging out of my car! I finally get the money close enough to the right amount and I took one container of the blackberries and left the money under the other container (sticking out just a tad) . I was so appreciative that the blackberries were already picked and were nice and cool good.gif, I couldn't NOT take them, and I definitely couldn't NOT pay for them!

I was amazed that he or anyone else never showed up while I was there! It started to feel creepy being on that property and everything looked deserted!
laughing.gif
Anyway, that's my blackberry story. goofy.gif
