Got my card production ordered email this morning!! Dated yesterday kicking.gif

Yay, congrats Missus Flutter!!!! kicking.gif

I was sooooo going to post yesterday evening that your approval was coming any minute now (on the scientific fact that I could "feel it in my waters" tongue.gif )... my waters were right, I tell you! kicking.gif

I got an "approval notice sent" email today (along with corresponding case status change) - if I remember right from AOS, "approval notice" is USCIS-ese for "that bit of paper that your green card is attached to". Hurrah! Apparently it was mailed yesterday.

Also got a letter in the mail a couple of days ago congratulating me on the approval of my I-751. It wasn't the usual USCIS-y NOA type thing on the special paper, it was just a typed letter much like the one they sent reminding me that I need to remove my conditions. Only, unlike that letter, this one actually had our correct address on it.

I'm now waiting with bated breath to see if my name will be spelled right on my new GC, or if I'll need to file yet another I-90 due to a typo in my middle name, just like I did with the conditional one... unsure.gif

Enough rambling - hurry up, VSC, and... Maven, come and update us on Mr. Maven's condition-lifting progress! biggrin.gif

lol I know! I was thinking to myself well feathers took this amount of time from her bio so i should get mine on wednesday and i did! But I got approved the 13th just didnt know until today, lol

Congrats, Heishe - that is one impressively fast CSC approval!

Hah - s'funny, ever since first joining VJ in 2006 I remember you as someone whose approvals/milestones (as in leaving NVC, Packet 3, Packet 4, etc) I've seen and thought "Yay! We should be there soon too!" kicking.gif

Yeah, I remember you from K1 and AOS too! VisaJourney is so nice like that. I suppose I'll be seeing you next year in the citizenship forum.

congrats!! Our dates are pretty much exactly the same, and when I could finally see my online info it said recieved 6/3 aswell which was so untrue! my only different with dates with the biometrics due to mine being cancelled but yeah the other dates are the same, so it will be interesting to see what happens for me.

I was expecting hubby's approval in another couple weeks, judging by other recent CSC timelines. It looks like we did get scheduled for biometrics pretty quickly, which probably helped. Anyway, I definitely expect to see everyone else here rolling in in the next few weeks.

BTW, received mailed notice today that has 7/24 as decision date.

I hope so too! It seems like they are cranking them out right now.

Hiya guys. I just got card production ordered email this morning. We sent off hubby's forms 5/22, got NOA1 dated 5/26, and had biometrics on 7/1. Once we could access online case status, it always said they received the application on 6/3. Not sure what accounts for that. Anyway, yay. That's 66 days from package sent to card production ordered. We've been incredibly lucky with our USCIS processing times.

Congrats on the approvals! I feel so behind just completing biometrics today tongue.gif I probably could have gotten them done earlier for a walk in but with my work schedule and my husbands it really did not work out before now anyway.

Quick question, on the biometrics notice it says to take the notice and photo id such as passport or state issued ID. It says for naturalization applications to bring alien registration card. Well I had my state ID and took my passport with stamp in it just in case, good job I did cause the lady asked for it! I told her I do not have a green card, just the stamp due to old one expiring and she was asking where it was though and demanding she have it - I didnt have the old one with me and explained the stamp surpasses my expired card, then she was ok with that but had to verify my passport picture with my state ID pic...strange.

OH and I can now see my case online biggrin.gif

Don't worry about it flutter! Important thing is that you did in fact get the biometrics done. After all it's not like we're out of status while waiting or anything smile.gif Besides, you never know .... your file may land on a kind and fast adjudicator's lap and you could be approved lickety split!

This is true, I hope we all get done quickly! biggrin.gif

my biometrics for my AOS was like that too, super quick but I had to drive 2 and a half hours each way! Ugh! Thank goodness I moved.

So even though you applied a couple (or so) weeks after me, your biometrics are done way before mine will be so you'll be ahead now maybe, it'll be interesting to see!

rofl.gif

No, you got your's first because they know your husband doesn't want to do biometrics wink.gif

Hee hee! He's relieved we only have to go to Van Nuys for biometrics; gives him an excuse to hit some of the guitar shops out there. We currently have only seven guitars in the house, which is clearly far too few.

Congrats, Lisa! And flutter -- here's hoping something good happens soon. star_smile.gif

Grr, why no biometrics for (most of) us Maypeople yet?

It's not that I'm even bothered about how long it's taking... more that I've been reallly looking forward to getting to take a whole day off work in honour of having to go and get fingerprinted and all that. I want my day off! mad.gif

But congrats, Maven and little4ele on getting yours.

I called for a service request yesterday (just hoping that they might let slip some tidbit of information that would explain the dearth of recent infopass appointments), and the very nice lady cheerfully took all my details, asked me for the receipt number from my NOA, and then announced in a grave voice that that number wasn't coming up in her system. I asked if that was usual or something that I might need to worry about, and it was only then that she REALLY cheerfully announced that the I-751 receipt numbers are in a "different system" and therefore are never, ever recognised. Not sure why she bothered trying to find it then, but oh well! unsure.gif She also took my home, work and mobile number AND my email address - I can't see a response coming via any of those methods, but apparently should hear the results of the service request within 45 days.

Flutter... any news on Noah??

Well for me personally I havent got my NOA yet and I expire soon so I called the 1800 number and was told it was mailed out weeks ago right at the same time as the check was cashed and that they sent out my biometrics yesterday. As I expire this weekend I can do infopass which is what i am doing to get stamp or wait till next week (24th) which is when they can resend it. Hopefully biometics appear!

United KingdomCan you bring a travel bag into the embassy?

When I went in October I was allowed to take my mobile in with me, as long as it was switched off. I did have to leave my lip-salve with the Security Guards though!

Mind you, you've all been there far more recently than I, things have obviously gotten even more security concious than ever!

Mine was in December, and it was like that too. Was allowed to keep it, just turned off. and I didn't have and other liquids of any kind.

United KingdomPossible Lost passport
When I went for my K-1 visa, I got the blue slip and had to send the passport back via SMS, now for me it didn't take too long but it can take them awhile to issue, like mags said it can be up to a month. I found that with SMS they would confirm it was delivered but they wouldn't tell me it was back in their system unless I REALLY nagged
