Philippines	H0TELS in Manila	Good thread. We've stayed at the Hyatt Hotel and Casino twice. It's pretty swanky. I'm not sure some of those other hotels belong in the same category. Just saying... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	What is up with the VSC	I got my NOA1 really fast with in several days. I know that it is just a receipt, but still it showed promise. I am just within the 5 month window, but on the 15th of this month that deadline will be up and then I am going to start burning up some phone lines annoying the hell out of some Government workers. When we hit the deadline I called DOS and my senator's immigration liason. Both got info for me in a couple days. In fact, DOS put me on hold for bout 5 minutes and came back with a ,finish w/in 1 week, promise. Promise kept, 5 days later.	~happyndinlove~	Female	Philippines	2010-02-02 09:29:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	What is up with the VSC	Sorry to be a downner, but Wow, You guys are saying and asking the same q's as many many vj's before you. When we first joined vj we read many posts lamenting the agonizingly slow vsc. (and) Calling USCIS will probably only add to your frustration because of the lack of and/or mis- information, being given false hope that your case will adjudicate soon or sometimes dealing with a rude rep that just wants to get you off the phone asap. It took 6 months and 5 days to get our noa2. Following the other vj timelines helped us and also got us pissed. There is no ryme or reason. It's the luck of the draw. Some get processed quickly and ahead of previous filers but most are right on track for the USCIS processing time estimates. Some wait more than a year. If your lucky, vsc will get (what they consider to be) backlogged and transfer a load of cases to csc. The 1's transferred get the noa2 quicker. Feel sorry for those filing with vsc, as we did too. I remember the waiting is agonizing. (and) After vsc there is the next hurdle of nvc. Most our done at nvc within a couple weeks while others get delayed and stuck in AP. feeling happy? (But) Hang in there. The time will pass albeit slowly, it will pass. My wife arrived in sept. 09. Anybody here in the same dates on mine? Pls. share your visajourney updates. thank you! Vermont? Hmmmm....Dunno what to say other than....they're pain in the butt for making people wait! It took us 6 months and 5 days. We never got one RFE. We did not have the website info that is available now and what we did have was never updated. Not even after we were approved and got the visa. Still pending! Know the waiting is frustrating. When we called USCIS they told us..."best advice is sit back and wait like everybody else". Sorry to tell you but, it's true. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	My Interview Experience... ( My fave color now is PINK! ) =)	Arrived at USEM 6am with fear and butterflies on my stomach because of my problem about the affidavit of support that my fiance sent me..( he forgot to tick the I Intent blah..blah..)I'm worried that it will caused delay from getting me a visa...but I just prayed that it wont be a big deal to the consul...Inside USEM I get a number waited for about an hour until the Filipina Pre-screener get all my docs... called again for finger scanning..then last stop is the interview by the consul... He's really kind and not to mention "good-looking" =) He just asked me 2 questions The job of my fiance' and how did we met...I answer his questions with full confidence.... then a moment of silence...He browsed on our photo's... documents... ( I really wanted to faint while he's looking on the papers) then He nod... and said "OK ma'am You're Fantastic, U're visa is now approved..." I don't really know how to react hearing that "magic word" my smile never gets out of my face... ...I just said "Thank You sir and God bless you... " and He smiled.... Whew.... I step out of the cabin..still smiling.... i don't care about the people who can see me... I'm happy I get the PINK...!!! Thank YOU guys for all ur advice and prayers.... I'm ready on the next journey... wishing all who are still waiting will also get pink ....=) Congrats!!! And Skype mobile Also, GMAIL calls are free to any number in the US, so I use that to call Tim alot Ouch! Had we known this one before we could have saved lots of $$$ for Burgers and Rib-Eye Steaks instead of paying a huge monthly phone bills. (VSC) May 5, 2011	Thanks and contratulations to you too I´m a little confused, you said: "a day or two later it will ask you or the petitioner to pay for the necessary fees and you take it from there"... What fees? NVC fees such as IV bill fee and AOS (Affidavit of Support) fee. If you are a CR-1 visa applicant. Good Luck! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	GOT NOA2!!!! (VSC) May 5, 2011	Finally!!! This morning I got the most awaited email from USCIS, saying that our petition was approved today! (on MAY 5, 2011). NOA1 was on DECEMBER 20, 2010, so it´s a pretty good time frame considering the VSC delays, right? I (the beneficiary) told my honey (the petitioner) the good news, since for some reason he dindn´t get the notice! I´m so happy this came through as it will do us so much good, we really needed something positive in our relationship since the distance and waiting can be so damaging and frustrating... So I read next step is to wait a couple of days and call the NVC to get a new case number... then wait for the NVC to send case to beneficiary´s country Embassy. Then wait for them to send me (beneficiary) the forms and for me to mail them what´s asked and if it´s all ok they will give me (beneficiary) a date for the interview. Am I right? Congrats!!! APPROVED NOA2!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You O' Lord Jesus!!!! NOA1 was 12/14/10. "On May 5, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283." Manila, here I come!!!!
