K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Over 5 Months - what i did	Once I hit the 5 month mark i contacted my senator and sent them a letter authorizing them to look into my case. After a week and a half past that I saw a suggestion here to email VCS so i did, a week later i got an approval just like the person who suggested it. sample of the email i sent: Email Topic: Service Request - EACXXXXXXX Body of email: Good Evening, My name is xxxxx, my case number is xxxxxxx which has a receipt date of July 23rd 2010. I have been trying to put in a service request as my case is currently outside the 5 month processing timeframe. I have called your 800 number and spoken to a number of agents who continue to tell me that my case is not outside of the processing timeframe. At this point I have been give many different dates as to when my petition would posibly be reviewed, most of which are in conflict to what you post on your website. The agents that I have spoken to have been no help at all and I am now emailing asking if someone would be able to please put in a service request for my petition and possibly tell me when it will be worked on. This has been a very stressful experience and i appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you, xxxxxxx RESPONSE: Hi, The Petition for Alien Fiancé (e) (Form I-129F) was approved today. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 APPROVED	Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let you know that after 174 days our NOA2 was approved today. I just joined, but i have been here almost daily. The information provided has been very helpful. I think VSC is working on the last July filers. I checked some of the EAC# close to mine and several were approved in the last couple of days so keep hope alive if you are still waiting. GOD IS FAITHFUL. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	129F APROVED !!!!	After tough 6 months and three days my 129F finally got aproved ! I honestly does not know what finally worked but contacting DHS officers by mail certanly helps! I filed for my service request on 01/13/2010 and received an e-mail on 01/20/2010 stating needed to wait for 60 days before got a response ! i thought this was TOO MUCH I called this morning back to USCIS and got a push on my Service request. NO LIE !!! 1 hour later i received an email stating my Service Request wa saproved and about three hours later my text message about my status changed !! All I wish all of you VJ friends is to keep calling and do not give up !! Congrats to you both and thank you for posting right away and share the happy news. There is 10 approvals today. How long past the 5 month mark were you when your fiance put a service request? We are only about 4 days past it and for us seems like we are 4 decades past it, LOL. Thanks and congrats again. My fiance first call was 2 weeks after 5 month of NOA1. After a lot of coaxing and pressure then he finally called lol. He wanted to wait it out since he was sure our turn would be soon. Doh I on the other hand wanted him to call and found out about the hold up a week after NOA1. I was really surprised that we get approved the next day. I guess he was right I know it sucks to wait but from what I read USCIS won't let you file a service request so soon. Even now hours later I can't stop smiling. I think after I get that elusive visa on hand then I will really jumping up and down. I was distraught when VSC didn't approve a single petition and then bamm so many petitions got approved in 1 day I lost count. At this rate in 2 weeks VSC will move on to September. I called USCIS again, not really expecting much (but hoping for the best) and asked to speak to a higher level of customer service. After waiting 15 minutes, she said that she had good news--my case was approved on January 4!!! Thank you so much, Lord!!! I can't contain my excitement =). I guess they just haven't updated my case online, but she said I should get a letter in the mail. Praise the Lord and thank you VJ for the encouragement!!! Congrats! I am so happy for you both. The recepcionist checked my paper then asked me to go to a another lobby room for giving the paper that i got. The circle table people then asked me to fill out some paper. Not much. Just my name, sign the paper, and the record of my disease i ever got. Then took the salive and blood pressure, height and weight, x ray, doctor check up (I dont understand why the doctor gave me a long speech about marriage which gone to his life story. I was just listening, he tried to adviced me about life, i think), vaccination. All done at 10.30. The fee was 827.000 rupiahs. Cheaper than we expected which about 1 million. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Seriously starting to lose hope now....	You guys, this process is driving me crazy. The past couple weeks have really gotten to me. As we have surpassed five months and inched closer to six, it really feels like there is NO end in sight. When I filed back in October, approvals were coming after about 2-3 months. That didn't seem too long to me. As the months passed, I noticed other filers were being approved in four months! Some even as long as five - five being the absolute MAX. Now, as people's timelines inch closer to six and seven months, I never know when it is going to end. When is it going to be my turn? There are easily still a hundred before me on VJ alone. VSC appears to only be approving 1-2 VJ'ers on any given day - I know that is a small percentage of totals, but at that rate, it will be another two months before I seee any action. I've called my Senator. The aide has tried contacting VSC. They finally got a response stating that if my case isn't approved by April 5, they will put in an expedition request. But then what? Another thirty days after that? I called NCSC and put in a service request. When I e-mail customer service to ask about the status of it, they tell me the same thing - wait until April 5. Then you will be REALLY considered outside normal processing time (at six months!) and we can start to think about processing you. I used to excitedly log on to the USCIS website every day to check my status, multiple times. Now, I rarely go on - it's such a disappointment to see that nothing has changed. I never, ever thought it would take this long. I thought maybe I would even be a lucky one who got approved in four months! But as the processing times continue to expand and nothing continues to be done about it, my hope is all but gone. I'm depressed, sad. When people ask me when my fiance is coming, all I can do is sigh and say I don't know. All the happiness has been sucked out of my engagement. Isn't engagement supposed to be a happy time? Shopping for china patterns, celebrating this happy time with family and friends. It is not supposed to be a time for sadness, stress, depression, and being thousands of miles apart. I know many of us are in this same situation. I just had to vent. I am sick of feeling so powerless and hopeless. Best wishes to all. I understand you pain and uncertainty. This is really a hard time for you both as a couple. Now, you can channel your energy into something good and more constructive like joining the twitter movement. You can make a change... your voice count. Who else should fight for your cause other than yourself? Twitter help Egypt and it can facilitate a revolution in USCIS processing time if we make enough noise for important people to hear. No cause is too small nor too big. United we can conquer.
