K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	approved/with convictions	i dont post here often but i read alot of others i dont really want to post i got approved because i know how it feels to still be waiting for your approval and others are getting theirs my main meaning i want to convey here is even if you have previous convictions from the past you can still be approved everyones convictions are different so i dont want to give false information im just saying that yes you can be approved with a past criminal history this site is great for alot of things mainly info if you are one of the people i p.m. thanks for the replies i want to wish everyone good luck i hope it happens for you too well anyway i got the e mail this morning that we were approved on 9/07 today i got the e mail and today in the mail was the I-797 good luck to all and thanks You are great and we "hear" more blessings for you! Hi All, I'm in a real hurry, so this is just a quick message to say I got a very excited phonecall from Jenni in the middle of the night. We were approved, apparently on the 9th, though the email didn't arrive till yesterday. I see from topic titles that there have been quite a few more approvals. I'm hoping all those who filed before us are either approved, or CSC is going to get on your case asap. Now on to London... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Mr.Lonely just left my Congressman's Office	I think you did absolutely the right thing. Most members of Congress will be back in their districts campaigning for the next 2 months. If we could each get time with them, we might have FAR more impact then sending emails or calling. Tom Tom........you were probably not around then, but months ago, I suggested this to all the vj members.......the more inquiries from more members of congress from vj members will get the USCIS's attention quicker......but I was shot down and told not to rock the boat...........they were afraid that our inquiries would get the service centers mad and put our cases to the back of the pile. Well it appears to me by the way they are not following any patterns or sense of order that there is no beginning or end of the piles. Sort of like a free-for-all for any file that is in close proximity will do. Today, the aid in my congressman's office told me and I quote, " when a government agency receives a congressional inquiry......they MUST respond.........all inquiries get moved to the head of any problem within that government agency".... Mike ( the boat-rocker) Thanks Mike for giving them the data...that is what they need...in black and white...and thanks Gary for patiently making that list...now the voice of the "critical mass" is in their hands and is being heard..and we are confident that the congressional inquiry will generate a positive response and will be advantageous to all of us. My timeline will show that I've been biting my nails for a while. I got my approval today in the mail. I want those who are waiting to know that I did not have any "touches" nor did I receive any email. The approval came in snail mail. I'm so happy right now that I have gotten out of CIS. The receipt date says March 27th now instead of March 22nd (from the original NOA1) but it's here. The postmark on the envelope is Sept 6th. I just got back from France yesterday. While I was there, Cécile and I logged in every day to check our status but nothing changed. In fact, my account still says the same thing. I never received an email notification or anything. But I'm holding it in my hand right now and it's the most beautiful piece of paper I have ever seen. I want to thank all of you. I can't imagine how we would have been able to get through this ordeal without your help and support. Best wishes to you all. I can't believe how happy I am. To all of you still waiting, I can assure you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (and it's not a train coming from the opposite direction). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	just found out we submitted wrong date (year) in I-129F (for marriage ended)	Point it out at the interview and have it corrected then... I second that... The last thing you want is for the CO to get suspicious and begin drilling you with questions!!! That's just my opinion. Cheers!!! yes, Uling...I think it is wise too to tell them during the interview of the error made in that info sheet (I-129F) rather than just leave it as it is. Anyways the date entered in the G-325A is correct and supported by the documents (court decision, decree of annulment, annotated marriage certificate of previous marriage bearing annulled remark, etc.). So, no need for us to call USCIS since they cannot do something about it at this point. This was our concern...of the need to call USCIS. And Jen T said that the role of the USCIS in our case for the K1 process is over (we already have the NOA2). Therefore, we will just wait for the interview date. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	just found out we submitted wrong date (year) in I-129F (for marriage ended)	John sent me the duplicate copies of the I-129F we submitted. I just found out that there was an error in the date (year) entered for the item 10 (Date Marriage Ended) of Part B (information about alien fiancee). It was supposed to be year 2006 not year 2004. We already have our NOA2 and we are just waiting for NVC to receive the approved petition and assign a case number. Do we need to call USCIS regarding this mistake? Please advise us.
