United Kingdom	London Interviews 2006 (NEW)	Thanks everyone!! Just got back from london........ with a big fat smile on my face B) Ok so we set of for London yesterday (me and my mum) and thought we'd spend the day shopping.....well I had the worst heart burn ever (never really had it before but we reckon it was my nerves ) so didn't have the best day on Tuesday- just basically felt awful!! So had an early night and was up early (shock horror) anyway we got to the embassy at 9.40am for 10.30 appointment and there was no queue and i mean none!!! It made me so paranoid, I thought I'd missed something!! Anyway I left my mum (who waved at me the whole time as though I was actually getting on the plane!!) and went to the security hut place (no zz top guy ) and I just apologised for being early and they were like it fine!! I went through and walked around the outside (my mum was now walking with me on the other side of the barrier blowing me kisses and still waving ) so I got inside had a little chat to the nice man who ticks you in, went up got my number (25) and noticed there was no non-immigrant visas today, just immigrant! I was 8th in line, so after much fidgeting and looking round I noticed the woman behind me was there for a fiance visa so I smiled at her but she just kinda glared at me so I pulled out my book!! I waited an hour and was called to window 1, I got there and no-one was there!!! So I just got my stuff ready and waited! Then a really nice asian lady came up and apologised for being missing - she needed the toilet!! So she asked how I was, told me it was a nice day to come as it was so quiet, she noticed I was from Blackpool so we had a chat about that, then she asked for my 2 pics, my payment slip, then disappeared to get my folder, when she came back I noticed the red approval stamp!!! She then asked for my birth certificate and police certificate, then my sponsor stuff, she didn't want any of the supporting info, just the form!! I told her I had a co-sponsor but she said I didn't need it ( ) but seeing as though I had it she'd take it (she didn't want any of that supporting info either). She then asked why i'd been denied entry, I explained I technically hadn't and explained that I just didn't have a flight home when I tried to enter so they told me I needed one, so I booked one and like 20 mins later I was allowed in!! Then she said it all looks good, she can't see any problems and to take a seat and wait for my interview. Oh and she gave me my chest x-ray back and gave me the courier slip. So I sat back down and was called an hour later for my interview. The lady was also nice, I did my finger print thingy first then I swore to tell the truth, I signed a form, she handed back my original certificates and just asked me again about when I wasn't allowed in the States, she then said ok just go ahead and pay the courier......no questions about me and Roshon - I mean nothing!!! I asked her if that meant I was approved and she just said yes!!!! That was it - all the worrying (and heart burn) for nothing!! Now I just need my passport back and I'll be fine (well till AOS)!!!! I considered leaving it till we got to London but I had sever paranoia so thought what the hell!!! I was in a bad mood about it when I bumped into my friend who is goin to work on the disney crusieliner.....she paid £25 for her pics !! United Kingdom	London Interviews 2006 (NEW)	Just trying to get my stuff together - oops nearly forgot about the visa fee thing So this is what I have: Letter from embassy (pk4) Passport Birth Certificate Police Certificate I-134 - Roshon - the form itself - financial info from college -letter from bank -bank statement I-134 - Co-sponsor - the form itself -bank statement from past 2 months -letter from employee -pay stub stating how much a year and month she receives New letter of intent NOA 1&2 2 pics (not done yet) Embassy fee (not done yet) and a copy of everything!! Do I need to take a copy of the I-129f?? Anything I've forgotten??? I'm stressin out now, i feel sorry for my mum who's coming with me Thanks - any input welcome!! I had already decided to just copy my tax returns (AGAIN) and send them to Crash just to be safe.. but I am confused about what Euro said.. originals of ALL documents? Didn't I send all the originals to NVC? What originals should he bring besides the forms they want him to fill out that they send him in the Packet 3?? AGAIN... Now Crash has a question but he's too shy to post it himself so he's got me doing it for him, lol Its about the police certificates: Do you have to apply to each counties police force that you have resided in even though it asks you to list all the places you have lived on each application form? I think hes asking since he applied for a police certificate when he was living in Kent before we got married and that application (which btw is dated April 5, 2005) had him list all the places he lived previously. That certificate he received only refers to the county he lived in at the time he filed for it (which is also the only thing they found on him from when he was 15). 1- Did that original application cover the period he lived in London and other places as well? And does he need a new one for the county he's living in now (he's been there since August)? 2- Does he need a certificate for all the other counties he has lived in besides the one it found something for him back in 1985 (when he was 15) 3 - Do we need a new certificate or will that April 5, 2005 one be ok god willing we get an interview in march or early april?? should he just get new ones to be safe?? Once again, sorry if I am making no sense... but thats why he loves me.. cuz I ramble lol. So as long as he has not resided outside of the UK for more than six months, he will only need the one from UK. Its good for a year, so have you had it for a year? If the year is up in April it might be worth applying for another one just in case - not sure when your interview should be around though! Did any of you have co-sponsors??? That's what I am most nervous about as we have to use one. I am still waiting for Roshon and his Mom to send me the stuff through I've told them notarized I-134, letter from bank with years deposits, date account opened and current balance, a couple of pay stubs and letter from employer??? Have I missed anything (I know this is probably the most asked question on VJ!) Roshon is still at college and is on a scholarship so the letter from employer just states his scholarship money - does this sound right? Thanks for any help/reassurance! United Kingdom	Anyone moved whilst still being a Permanent Resident?	Just making some enquiries because we are contemplating moving back to England next year. I will have removed my conditions before we leave and I know that if I am out of the country longer than six months I will need a permission to enter thingy. United Kingdom	Has anyone thought about going the other way???	Thanks Robinklake! U are right, I'm from lancashire so there compared to Cali is way cheaper. We are in Fresno which is classed as the armpit of Cali and the average 3 bedroom house is $300,000. The main thing for us though is that we have no support system here so in order for us both to work that means Hayden in full time day care....which is expensive making it hard to save for a house (and also someone else taking care of him)... In England we can live with my folks, save for a small house and get on our feet better. United Kingdom	Has anyone thought about going the other way???	I found it interesting reading everyones comments. I love living here in California, its beautiful but for us we don't feel we have a great quality of life, we both are recent college grads so we don't own a home, houses are so expensive here, I hate the whole health insurance thing and I hate the fact that we get barely any vacation time. We are planning to move back to England next year as we think we stand a better chance getting on the property ladder and we want to have enough time to spend with our son and take holidays etc. Here I'm currently working 50 hrs per week, I used to work 37 in the UK. I love California but I hate the long hours i'm working, the healthcare is ridiculous, lack of vacation time etc etc. They'll have to get used to the weather though haha!! United Kingdom	London Embassy Graduates Thread	Hi everyone! So now i'm officially a london embassy graduate!! We filed for AOS/EAD and it was received on 08/24/06 so now we are sitting very patiently ( ) waiting for things to happen! We received our NOA 1's a couple of days ago with a refund of $70 (well they sent one of our money orders back) for the EAD biometrics....I guess i only needed to send one fee when both forms are sent in together??!! Just been looking at the Fresno timelines and i think we are gonna be waiting a while Anyway i'm glad i just found this thread....I loved the k1 version - i feel more comforted now!! United Kingdom	Moving back to UK!!!	Well guys!! We made the move in June!! Here we are in sunny England Everything is going well for us, my husband got onto his MA course (although he has to pay oversea's fees ) and I'm interviewing for a part-time job so I can take care of our lovely boy! I'm starting my teacher training next year. We miss California alot, but we are having a lovely time here and its nice being with my family. United Kingdom	Moving back to UK!!!	Hey guys!! Not been on here for quite some time!! Well, we decided to make the move back to sunny ol' England We leave on June 6th!! The visa for my hubby was super easy and way less stressful/time consuming as my ugly process, thankfully!!! I've had a wonderful time over here, and hopefully we will move back in the future but as for now we need the love/support of my family, especially having the little guy now.
