I hear that CSC is a secure facility behind razer wire, motion sensors, cameras, and the guards shoot on site!

You will not het anything out of them. And if visit a local office they will not have answers.

Oh yes I forgot to mention the landmines and moat full of Piranha Fish and aligators!

good point. with a moat full of Piranha and alligators, no one will get past that. no need for the high tech stuff, they obviously aren't using any " high tech stuff " to process the petitions.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Are waivers needed for K1 applicant who was denied entry and later denied a tourist visa?
from what I understand, being denied a Tourist Visa has no effect on a K-1 Visa. no waiver will be needed. being denied entry at POE, I'm not sure about. hopefully someone will answer if waiver needed for denied entry at POE.

Asia: East and PacificVaccinations? I'm sooo confused :(
here's a list of the required vaccinations.
Vaccination Requirements

All applicants for immigrant visas are required to have the following vaccinations if appropriate for age, medical condition or medical history:

Mumps
Measles
Rubella
Polio
Tetanus and diptheria toxoids
Pertussis
Influenza type B
Hepatitis B
Varicella
Pneumococcal
these can all be taken at the medical at St Lukes. they're included in the cost. if taken at the medical, will not have to take them again here.

Asia: East and PacificQuestion for people with approved K1 visas already
i have never heard of anything in the initial appointment package that can't be opened.
what Yodrak mentioned is the only thing:
"If the completed medical exam forms are given to the visa applicant to take to the consulate rather than being sent to the consulate directly, the visa applicant should not open the envelope"
Yodrak

The brown envelope with the visa is not suppose to be opened until reaching POE here and then by the immigration officier. it that is opened you would have to go back to the embassy to have it resealed.

I agree, when my wife attended CFO and got a stamp in her passport half the stuff they told her was not true, it is amazing how little about the process they actually know beyond putting that stamp into the ladies passport.

My fiance living in the Philippines just received her K-1 visa. She attended her seminar last week. The people at the seminar gave her a letter stating that she must bring a certificate of employment with her when she travels to the US. She is on a K-1 visa and will not be returning to the Philippines. She explained this to them and they still insist she needs the certificate from work or she will not be admitted into the US. None of the instructions prior to this mentioned work verification. Now her workplace told her it will take a month to give her a letter of work verification, not to mention that she already resigned her job. Her flight to the US is scheduled for next week. Is what they told her true? Does she need to prove she has a job in the Philippines to be admitted into the US even though she is arriving on a K-1 visa???

my fiance attend in Cebu last Feb. when she goes to get the stamp, will tell her not to worry if they give her any misinformation. just smile and say, stamp please.

it's definatey not required by US Immigration for a K-1. if related to work visa, would think it would be a letter from employer here in US. cant understand why CFO would say that. glad they didn't confuse my fiance with misinformation.

Asia: East and PacificHomesickness and Adjusting to America
Glen, it's nice to hear Rosemarie is adjusting to life here. In our situation, we are very fortunate that Yazi has an aunt near to us. It is helping alot with her adjustment to life here. the Bay Area has a large filipino community with many filipino resources which will help with the adjustment. one thing that is taking time to adjust is the climate, but the most frustrating thing for her right now is not being able to work.
She really misses her job alot. She was a rescue technician in the Philippines, so her job skills are not directly transferable. we are searching now for something she will be inetrested in doing. I'll be supportive of her in whatever she choses to do.

maybe there is a new law or pending legislation. i haven't been able to find it. this ic from the link I provided.
CAN A TRAVEL CLEARANCE BE ISSUED TO ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN WHO ARE STILL ARE APPLYING FOR THEIR VISA IN THE EMBASSY?

Illegitimate children are under the custody of the mother. If they will be traveling with the mother, they are not required to secure a travel clearance from the DSWD

congrats. :) hope you get an early interview. mine somewhere between CSC and NVC. called NVC today and no record of it yet. :(
sunandmoonMalePhilippines2006-08-08 23:52:00
National Visa Center (Dept of State)When is the best time to call NVC?
I had my best luck 8-9pm Pacific time. i found that when i hear message you have 1 min till... , i usually got thru. otherwise, nada. i don't think a k-1 is entered into the system until it is assigned a case number. all i got was no record of it, allow 2 to 4 weeks...ya ad ya da ya da, until the day after the case number was assigned. the petition is probably at NVC within the week after approval, then sits around waiting case number assignment. after case number asigned, electronic file of your petition sent to embassy with physical one to follow.
sunandmoonMalePhilippines2006-08-22 22:14:00
National Visa Center (Dept of State)how case number is determined.
i learned something new today. how the NVC determines the case number. the 3 letters the Embassy sent to,
the next four number the year NVC received. the next three numbers, the day of the year (1-362) plus 500,
the last 3 numbers is which case number that was created for the Embassy on that day.
from my case number i can see why there is a 4 month wait for an interview in Manila.
sunandmoonMalePhilippines2006-09-07 16:46:00
National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC spelling error in K-1 beneficiaries name
NVC sends an electronic file to the Embassy after assigning the case number. i would call the Manila Embassy to verify the spelling. you can try this number 011-63-2-528-6300 ext 5184 or 5185

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhat kinda evidence is actually being requested in RFE?
RFE is a request for evidence. usually it is insufficient or evidence missing from a petition. the one you're seeing mentioned alot is the one due to the IMBRA which took affect on March 6th. there is a scan in the IMBRA section if you want to take a look at it.
