Okay! Is it wise to take the CFO seminar already even before the medical and interview? Is that allowed?

yes, you can take the seminar before medical. just depends on what is most convenient for you.

Wow! I didn't know that they would take your passport after the medical, and you will get it when they issue the visa? That's new news to me. So, it is best to take the seminar before the medical and interview?

your passport is delivered to you after the interview with visa in your passport. you can take the seminar before the interview, but they will not but the sticker in it until you have your visa. after you have you passport with visa, you'll need to go back to CFO for the sticker.

I am taking her parents because it is required at the CFO, and at the embassy. Please note the age requirements apply to fiance visas as if you were marrying in the Philippines. Normally, under 23 one of the parents must attend the CFO guidance and counseling session plus be in attendance at the embassy.

not true. also for CFO I believe only a letter ...applicants aged 18 to 21 must have written parental consent. Applicants aged 22 to 24 must have received parental advice. they are not required to attend the seminar.

I raised so many questions and they are ignored.

I will ask a simple question.

For those who have bird feeder, do you bring your bird feeder out in the spring or in the winter.?

Bird feeding is a year-round activity, so don't take down your feeders when the warm weather comes. You may miss out on the cardinal and his mate feeding in the spring. Or you could miss adult birds bringing their offspring in the summer to teach them about your feeding source.

PS. I love the kid !!! regardless.

I guess it's not hypothetical anymore since you put in your timeline the POE as "postponed" or "cancelled." What happened Jr? There is no cancellation of an issued visa.

she passed her medical exam at St. Lukes with flying colors so I don't think she has any problems with her chest xray. I guess I'll just tell her to not worry about it and just go on with her flight with out that cd :) thank you so much for answering :)

  one thing that might prove inconvenient is if she also lost her DS-3025 vaccination record from St Lukes. it's used during AOS. it's posssible she may have to retake vaccinations if she doesn't have vaccination records.

Philippinesquestions for proving a couple for AOS
when you file the I-485, you really do not need joint evidence. what you are doing is showing that you have married within the 90 day period, so your now spouse can change status from nonimmigrant to immigrant. If you should have an interview, you can bring any joint evidence you may have since you filed for AOS. it's best to file for AOS as soon as you can, since you wife will be out of status when the I-94 expires. do not wait to file for AOS just to aquire joint evidence, where you will need joint evidence is when you file to remove conditions (I-751) in two years.

Hi everyone!

What's the process of K2 follow to join the applicant? Are there any requirements needed aside from daughter's birth certificate? Please help....

Thanks in advance! rose.gif

In your I-129F

You fill out a separate G-325A (set) for each child. You submit birth certs for each child as you know. Two Passport photos of each child. Photocopy of passport for each child. There an no extra fees at this point.

Later once the I-129F has been approved there are additional such as a DS-156 and a DS-157 for each child. There are extra fees here. The K1 filing fee is $131 in peso's at Banco de Oro. Each K2 is an additional $131. When you go to St. Luke's there are fees for each K2 as well. (Remember four Passport photos for each for St. Luke's and two more each for the Interview!)

Good luck. We brought my wife's 11 yo daughter with us and that part of the process was without any problems.

You fill out a separate G-325A (set) for each child.
Where did you get that information?

Don't remember the original - but you have to do the same for the AOS later. Remember the G325A for the K2 provides information about the kids that USCIS does not get otherwise. AND later each child files a DS-156. General rule is a G325A for every DS-156.

There is a paucity of information about filing for K2 children on any site - including the USCIS site. However as guideline I found useful - when in doubt - add rather than leave out. We have spoken to people who were told that they did not need a police clearance - only an NBI - but they then later were sent a RFE for a police clearance. Nowhere is there any doc that says you must have an old married name listed as an AKA on the NBI even though there was an annulment - but it must be there. The USEM web site says St. Luke's requires one photo, (and this site said three) but in fact they required FOUR for each applicant.

Here you go!
Children under 14 No need a G325A . I never submit one for my 6 year old stepdaughter for the embassy interview or AOS>
Doesn't hurt tho especially if 13.

http://www.uscis.gov...ing_26aug08.pdf
Question: Please clarify whether a 13-year-old child who is filing an I-485 should file a G-325A. Although it is not required until he or she turns 14, we are wondering if USCIS would prefer the form to be completed when s/he is 13, to avoid having to send an RFE.
Response: According to 8 CFR 245.2(a)(3)(i), USCIS will only accept the G-325A from an applicant that has reached his or her 14th birthday at the time of filing the I-485 application. If the applicant reaches his or her 14th birthday after the I-485 application was filed, USCIS will then RFE for the Biometric Fee and the G-325A. A case will not be rejected if the G-325A is included for a child under 14. However, a new G-325A and biometrics fee will be requested once the child turns 14 years of age. Although we understand and appreciate the pro-active approach, USCIS cannot accept the biometrics fee for an applicant under 14 years of age and must obtain the child’s signature on the Form G-325A once the child becomes 14 years old. The RFE process is not extensive for these cases and should not significantly slow down the adjudication of the case.

good.gif I've also been there, done it. just to repeat, the G-325a for a child is not needed with filing of I-129f. when applying for the K-2 Visa at the Embassy, G-325a is not needed for DS-156. once here in USA and applying for AOS, a G-325a could be needed.

that applies to the OP if residing overseas pursuant to military or government orders... otherwise the answer is no. two passport style photos not required.

Philippines: Crocodile Hunting May Open, Plus New Buffalo Species

Published: November - 2007

Jay Carlson of Mindoro Safaris in the Philippines has news about the hunts he conducts there. His most exciting news concerned the possible opening of hunting for saltwater crocodiles. Unfortunately, hunters from the US and EU will probably not be able to import these animals, but that should not stop hunters from Mexico, South America and other parts of the world from doing so.
Carlson says he is working with the Philippine government to issue export permits for this species under a trophy hunting program. Seems there is a large population of these animals in an area where the former Marcos government abandoned a crocodile farming scheme. Carlson says a plan to export hides commercially fell apart when importers boycotted skins from the Philippines. Now, Carlson says he has gotten the government interested in producing revenue from these animals by allowing a limited number of sport- hunters to take some of the 12- to 18-foot crocodiles that have been seen in the area. Carlson did not want to speculate when the program would become a reality, but he promised to keep us up to date.

On another matter, Carlson said he is trying to get a variety of buffalo he hunts recognized as a new species. For the past couple of years, he has been collecting information to submit to the SCI Record Book Committee in hopes that they will create a new category in the Philippines. The animal in question is one that subscriber and former SCI Record Book Committee member Dave Hanlin first told us about three years ago (see Article ID 1312). Originally, Hanlin and Carlson thought the animal may be a cross between Asian water buffalo and the tamaraw, which is an endangered species on the Appendix I of CITES. Well, it now seems t........(continued)

ketsup, kalamansi/lemon, paminta durog, asin, toyo, binayong bawang at ang pinakasikret na sangkap ay "3 heaping teaspoon of PLANKTON" (for those who watch Spongebob can relate)... kidding aside SPRITE/7-UP ang nilalagay ko... adjust to your taste... it should be matamis na medyo maasim... marinate mo ng at least 6 hours and tsadaaa.... yummy bbq...

may sikret rin sa pag-iihaw... gusto mo malaman? sa susunod na kabanata po...

PhilippinesRound Trip or One Way Ticket

You have a valid thinking if I think my fiancee has a chance of going back to PI before getting her green card. I know it is expensive to buy one way rather than round trip ticket. But both of us are planning to go back home by next year, and swing by for 3 days in Japan. But you have a valid point. Well, the question is how soon she can have a green card (or maybe a conditional green card and can she go home with this status?)?

Thanks

not sure of the present timetable, but beleive it takes 3 to 5 months to recive green card after applying for AOS. if your then wife travels back to the Philippines before receiving conditional green card, she'll need to have Advance Parole (I-131}. that can de done when she applies for AOS. once she receives her green card, she's good to go...

the only number I know for USCIS is 1-800-375-5283. for us, it took 23 days from NOA2 till the Embassy received our petiton. I can remember back when calling NVC, I'd get answers like they don't have the petition, allow up to 4 weeks or try calling back in a week, but I wouldn't be that patient and would try again in a of couple of days. when calling Aug 20th, they gave me the MNL case number and said it had been sent to the Embassy on 15th. I had called earlier on the 17th, then they said they hadn't received the petion yet.
hopefully you'll receive the good news soon.
