PhilippinesCan We Schedule the Interview without the NVC Letter?

Then after scheduling Interview at Embassy, schedule St. Luke's (online is best), even if you are late in line, you still get an early number. (can't tell you how much time this saves in the morning when you first get there. we were back in line about 50 or so and Gretchen still got a number around 12 because of the per-registration.) Please keep in mind the requirements of St. Luke's when scheduling the medical. Please keep in mind the MEDICAL is the basis for the six month date on the Visa, not the interview itself. St. Lukes line starts at steps and goes south. (the line on the ramp is for returns/callbacks/etc on who have early times on 2nd day.) (there is a great cafe right across the street behind the photoshops.)

just a little note. you do not schedule St.Lukes. it is done on a walk-in basis. you got it right later in your post. preregistering online can save you time when you are at St. lukes.

To Mogambi, & sunandmoon, You stated "simply list the children in section B, question 13. that's it. trust me, I've done it" as well as "not difficult at all. if the children are coming at the same time as their mom, very easy. been there, done it. with the initial filing of the I-129f, all that needed is the children be listed, period.
at the interview stage, each child will need a separate visa application and medical. the DS Forms are the same, except the
DS-156k is not needed. since they are under 16, an NBI Clearance is not needed. don't worry, it will be a piece of cake
"

the part of each child will need a seprate visa application, does the mother get that & fill that out over there in Manila? And does each child recieve a DS form or does a DS form have to be filled out & submitted for each child. I'm assuming we are talking about the regular DS-156 form, right?

Thanks

yes, the mom will complete a separate DS-156 and DS-157 for each child. it's done online and printed out to be submitted at the interview at the Embassy.

don't worry, there's still lots of time before you get to the interview stage.

(I'm trying to follow & fill out each of the forms in the order in which was stated by http://www.visajourn...content/k1guide . However, the info and paperwork for the kids still remain a mystery to me, but I am still searching. ;) Thank you all for tollerating me as I know that I do have a very long way to go, however, I can not stand to be late or behind in anything I do. Again, Thanks

it's no mystery. with the I-129f, simply list the children in section B, question 13. that's it. trust me, I've done it.

PhilippinesOver stay in the Phils.

I meant form I-131 but marked differently for a re-entry permit (a little different from AP BUT it IS the SAME form.)

Here is the information I was looking for: this should help if she did not process a form I-131 BEFORE she left.

reentry us embassy manila

Hope it helps....best of luck

I guess that's as close as we'll get to you admitting you made an error. something I saw you post in a different thread. just FYI, the I-134 is not legally binding.

not easily....this is why you apply for AP....so you can come back after an overstay.... easiest way would be a relative to sponsor her.....I really doubt if she can get back any other way....

just for clarification, it's not AP. it's a reentry permit.

I don't know if she's eligible. maybe she could get a returning resident visa.

PhilippinesInterpreter for Mama?

Thank you!

And before anyone says it, we know mama may be unhappy once she gets here, but with the track record for tourist visa, we felt it would be simpler to go the family visa route. Then if mama got homesick she could go home and still have the chance to come back to the US if she doesn't stay away too long. We are bless to have a large Filipino community here so she will have some friends she can visit with.

maybe yes, maybe no...

3. Does my fiancee's son need to accompany her on the interview for her K-1 to get his K-2 visa?

all visa applicants need to attend an interview. if the son is coming to the USA at the same time as his mom, he will need to have a medical and attend the interview with his mom.

I see no choice but to involve yourself, and in a big way. Fly there immediately. You're going to want to involve both the Philippine National Army and the MILF on this one. The U.S. has some ships being sent to menace the Chinese in the Spratleys but those can be diverted. Start with heavy artillery off those ships to clear the beach for an amphibious landing while the MILF operatives are taking out power lines and bridges. Then bring the Philippine Army in with a massive infantry assault, real WWI human wave blood and guts drama on this one.

that's what I figured. maybe he logged off so he could book his flight to the Philippines and go to the "village" whoop some a$$.

If that's the case, simply go rent storage somewhere, move yer collection of stuff to storage, and call it a day. Not need to try to explain it, just remove it from the house.

let's give him another chance...

5 Most Common Reasons

Since childhood, most people must have had collectibles that they wanted to collect. The things people usually collect are those that they found interesting and meaningful to them. Collectibles can range from free stuff like leaves, rocks, shells, stamps, and bottle caps, to those that cost money like action figures, figurines, t-shirts, plastic and models. Collectibles can be anything, really, as long as the person who collects them believe they are worth collecting.

So what are the reasons why people collect them?

Satisfaction – We have to admit, some people simply love collecting things. Adding another piece to a collection gives the right amount of satisfaction for any collector. The feeling of accomplishment is much, much greater when the collection is completed.

Interest – Some people collect things that hold their interest. Some examples include plastic models for mecha (giant robot) fans or figurines for those who like cute stuff such as Precious Moments figurines. Some people’s collections would include those that are currently in style or fashionable for that period of time. The problem with following fads when collecting is that when it becomes out of date, interest in the collectibles drop drastically.

Fun – Collectibles can be fun to collect and some people do it for that reason alone. It is especially nice to see one’s collection growing and like what people would say in a party, the more the merrier.

Trading – Some people prefer to collect stuff that they know they’ll earn a profit from by trading with other people. Alternatively, there are those who collect things that they know they can use to trade for stuff that can be added to their own collection.

Selling – There are people who sell completed sets of collectibles for a high price as can be seen in many online trading sites. Some pieces, such as the rare, unique, or limited ones can also fetch a good price. People who sell pieces or whole sets can either be collectors who are just after the satisfaction of completing them and want to make a profit, or are simply in it just to make money.

The above are just some of the most common reasons but there are others as well. Have you ever had your own collection? If you have, what was the reason you did?

does this help...

Philippinesreceipt number

Hi everyone, im trying to set an appointment online and for the step 8 they are asking for the receipt number so i put the receipt number that the bank teller told me, the 3 digit number on the upper left corner of the deposit slip/payment slip. Anyone here experiencing the same, when i entered the number it says "No valid record can be found for the entered receipt number. Please validate that your receipt number is correct and that you have paid the correct amount for the visa which you are applying for".... Am i writing the correct receipt number?i need an answer with this ASAP..thanks so much in advance...

I believe it has been mentioned in the forum your passport number is your receipt number.

member Hank has posted this info... When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number.

PhilippinesUS embassy (manila)

Hello everyone...

Does anyone know if there is a new procedure when you get the tourist visa? No more slip? My friend said that she was just told by the consul to sit down and they will process papers....then she was brought to a room for interrogation by a filipina who works there and she told my friend you have been approved but you have a fake document (a fake ITR)it took hours for her to be in that hotseat (she finally admitted) until finally she released my friend walked her out and gave her her personal cellphone number saying she will be in touch... and it has been 2 weeks they are waiting for passports but still in the US embassy...the filipina worker in the embassy called her today to tell her to get the passports herself accdg to her boss.... My friend said she has a feeling they want money to be able to release the passports (hers and her kids). Very shady. Please help she doesn't know what to do. She just wants her passports back whether it is approved or not...will she be penalized or be sent to prison?

sounds like the visas were not approved. if there was material misrepresentation, she could have incurred a ban.

PhilippinesInternet Love or not to Love?

Go back and read my posts. You're projecting a lot into what you think I said. I used the word 'pretext' in reference to the income inequality that is a prevailing factor in most of these Fil/Am relationships and I only brought that up because the issue of being potentially conned or scammed by a Filipina was mentioned as it is quite often whenever the topic of finding a potential mate in Philippines pops up here from time to time. I've repeatedly said that this pretext doesn't make these relationships any less valid, but I take issue with the idea that somehow marrying a Filipina is out of pure love. That's just fairy tale BS. I've been on this site long enough to see this pattern - that many Kanos prop up their relationships as a fairy tale romances (she loves me for me) only to see a handful of them from time to time, come back here to tell us how their Filipina bride scammed them for a green card.

Perhaps some Filipinas could speak up about this here. I would imagine that most of them take offense to the accusation that when one of these marriages falls apart, it is because she was just after the green card.

or they might take offense by saying the income inequality was a prevailing factor in their decision to marry their husband.
