Hi, we applied for K1 visa in May 23. We never rcvd NOA1.
My fiancé called CSC too, after the answering machine he spoke with a person there, that gave him another number. He was was informed to wait.
According to USCIS website, last time they touched our case was in june 13.

I feel very much like you sad.gif

We are trying to believe that it´s taking more time now bcs of the problems with the work visas ...

I hope we all have some good news soon!

Well it has been a stressful morning, but I just received a text from Nadja saying she got the visa. I dont know any details yet, but she will call me as soon as they get back to the hotel. I managed to pull this off without an immigration lawyer and I'm pretty dam proud of myself. However, I could NOT have done this without Visa Journey and our thanks go out to all of you that answered my stupid questions and also to those that posted their experiences here. I gained much insight by finding and studying others' thoughts and experiences. Thanks to my Lord and Savior for without him, nothing is possible.

Its almost been a year since I first sent in my application!!! WE thought it would be months. I spent most of last year with him in Turkey and it's been almost a year since we filed. We have been approved and had interview but it can be another 1-2 years before they are done with our case- Dont expect ANYTHING!! thats all I can say!

I think I iwll be moving to Turkey to wait out the process~

Looks like NVC actually logged my AOS packet into the computer on Monday. Glad it got there but now I wish they would review it quickly so I can get the checklist that I am most likely going to get over and done with! (I'm remaining pessimistic so I can be pleasantly surprised if I don't get one). :P

Collie: from your signature it looks like you mailed your AOS package the same day you paid the AOS bill. I was reading in a post earlier that one should wait for the AOS bill showing PAID on the website before mailing them the actual AOS package.

 

Yes I did and I did it because it still is floating in the mail room. It takes some time apparently before it actually gets inputted into the system. As of yesterday, even though I know that it was received at the NVC per USPS delivery confirmation, it still wasn't received in their system.

They re-added previous employment?! I know it started that way, then they removed it, and IIRC correctly, they re-added and removed it again. So, now they're re-added it again?! Goodness NVC headbonk.gif

 

 

Keep in mind, the DS-260 only asks for the last FIVE visits to the US wink.png

 

10 years of employment and all addresses since age 16?! I think that I will know more about my parents than I ever did when this whole process is done!! Thanks for the info everyone :)

I just looked at the screenshots for the DS-260. Holy sheep. I know that it is an older version but maybe for those of you who have filled it out recently can give me insight. Do they still ask for beneficiaries parents names, birth dates/death dates, all addresses lived at since age 16? All previous employers?

 

That's a ####### load of info that I need to get from my parents if this is the case. I guess I also need to ask them if they have ever been a member of the Taliban, since that question is on there too!wow.gif

Glad to hear the numbers are sorted! Have you been calling to check up on AOS? I was planning on making my first call to check on it this Friday, and to see if I could wheedle some estimates for the IV invoice out of them as well. One week down (since DS-261), I'm hoping it won't be more than two more to go... 

 

They gave me an estimate of 10 business days for the IV from the time of filing the DS-261 which would be putting me around March 18th, but I think it will likely be longer than that judging by most people having waited longer on here for theirs. I've been calling daily to check on the AOS. I know per USPS that it was delivered so if it isn't in the system by the end of this week as being received, I will be concerned.

No, the AOS fee will cover both petitions for your wife and daughter. If they have each got a separate petition, you will fill out an I-864 for each and per the instructions on the I-864, you will not list wife/daughter on each others petitions.

 

I couldn't edit my post but you will file an I-864w for your daughter.

Finally got my Dads case number changed today! Now they will both be going through London :) Still waiting for the immigrant visa part and AOS is still not showing in their system as being mail received. I'm thinking they should get more mail room workers to help with the backlog too. The economy could be improved just by the creation of jobs at the NVC alone lol!

I have a question about AOS, I am petitioning  for my wife and my 2 years old daughter and since I have to separate I130 do I need to send (and pay) two separate AOS, also if I have to do that do I need to change any info on the I 864 (like the principle immigrant info part 2) I mean in one petition will be my wife and the other will be my daughter!!! confused,,,thanks

AOS shows as paid on the portal this morning and my packet will arrive at NVC today dancin5hr.gif Now the long wait for them to accept and review everything.

 

Collie, I saw your post on my email updates but it must be a half dozen pages back by now -- what a nightmare that must've been! Thank goodness you could run right back and get the post office to add it for you. I think I would've melted into a puddle on the floor after an adrenaline rush like that.

 

Suffice to say, I said one or two curse words...not very appropriate coming from the HR Manager of the company :P

 

My fee was debited from my bank account yesterday, so hopefully will show as paid soon.

 

I got straight through to the NVC this morning and was only holding about 10 mins and got to talk to my friend Todd again :). He remembered talking to me and we are on first name terms now hehe. If any of y'all get to talk to him, he's a wealth of information, won't rush you and I got some tidbits of info today. There are approximately 60 phone lines at the NVC. 2000 files approximately, arrive daily at the NVC and are processed through the mail room by x-raying, testing for chemicals, and assigning a bar code and then it goes to a separate building where it is stored until requested. He said that the storage building next door to the phone center is amazing with just wall to wall files as far as the eye can see.

 

With regards to my Dads case number being changed, it still hasn't been and still shows as a pending request for the supervisor to do it. My AOS arrived yesterday by USPS but is still not showing in their system on their end. Likely still going through the mailroom. He said the IV fee is being invoiced approximately 5-10 days after completing the DS-261. There has been a backlog but they are getting through it now.

 

I would love to follow a case file from USCIS all the way through the NVC to the embassy just to see how it is processed. I think it would be interesting.

I know the feeling, I can't count how many times I rechecked my paperwork. My packet wasn't very complicated since I'm using the EZ form, but there's still that base level of anxiety just because it's so important. I was riding the elevator down with a colleague on my way to mail the packet this afternoon, compulsively rereading everything such that I forgot he was there until he commented how quiet I was oops8rh.gif It would've taken too much effort to explain the importance of the documents, so now he just thinks that I find the post office extremely engrossing laughing.gif Ah well. Back to living in limbo for a while! 

 

If it makes you feel any better, I had a very near oopsie. I had put my packet together and was finalizing taking out the paper clips and attaching with a binder clip, and I went to the post office and got back to my office to discover my paystubs and my employment letter sitting on my desk. I had to race back to the post office and they opened it up so I could put the docs in with the packet. Thankfully the post office is only a minute away from my office. I was seriously cursing myself!

Yippeee I just paid! Now I am wishing that I had a rubber stamp to stamp on their case numbers on each page of the AOS packet. My hand is going to be sore writing on each page.

 

On a side note, the NVC gave me an error when I first tried...turns out that it doesn't like hyphenated names and wants to have the surname typed all together. Nothing is ever simple with this immigration malarkey.

So it's a good idea to send paystubs with AOS to show current income, but I've seen posts saying 6 months of them(this seems a little excessive to me) how many paystubs should I send?

Ok so just called - spoke with Todd (nice guy). Changed the address for my dad since it still wasn't correct. He at first told me that I couldn't over the phone if he wasn't still living in Ireland. I said he never lived in Ireland. He lives in Northern Ireland. Todd got a geographical lesson this morning. He said that the payment system for AOS fees was about 24 hours behind the email notification and try again later today - time will tell.

 

My Dads case number is not changed yet. Right now as the case numbers stand, he will be interviewing in Dublin and my Mum will be in London...Yep that's what Todd told me. wow.gif .

and to add insult to injury, the fricking monkeys that input data obviously cannot read or are just lazy. My Mums address is listed as being in Great Britain and Northern Ireland whereas my Dads is listed as being in Ireland! No wonder that they were redirected to Dublin instead of London.

 

...and that was a grand total of 29 times to redial this morning to get through to the NVC. They need to get more lines...its not like they can't afford it with the amount of money that they are getting from all of us.dry.png

I was wondering if anyone knew when the 2013 transcript from here -   http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

would be available for printing? I sent it via snailmail maybe 2-3 weeks ago and it still says they did not receive 2013 yet.

 

Also, can anyone help me with how to sign up via email for the next round of email notices after the first stage? I see some of you are getting notifications of arrival to NVC but I have not received any emails since I was approved- wondering if there is a new place to sign up for that?

I used TurboTax to file my taxes and my 2013 transcript appeared about 7 days later on the IRS website.

Unless its an IR5 (parent) then you don't have to send beneficiary documents with the IV packet.

Yep! I had the same experience as you, it wasn't available when I first checked around 8am, but appeared randomly a few hours later. So that's sorted and now I'm checking for the AOS fee compulsively. I have the AOS paperwork sitting next to me and I keep rereading it as though the numbers will have changed themselves while I'm not looking laughing.gif  Gotta be sure... 

 

Haha - this is exactly what I am doing right now when I should be working! If I knew where to send the AOS, I would have it addressed as well, but instead my envelope is sitting beside my AOS at work so that I can run to the post office if I can pay it today lol. This darn packet accompanies me everywhere!
