I like Daville I like him too and Mavado, Tessanne Chin and Cherine Anderson. Basically the savings are not that much for me to go the extra route of either having my # changed or purchasing the equipment. I currently pay 35 cents a min thru AT&T as my long distance carrier. Anyway, I am interested in hearing more about this MegaFone. I was told I could purchase a CDMA phone here in the states and have it unlocked and they would be able to transfer service to my phone. Is that correct? What about MiPhone? Does anyone know about that? Why are you paying 35 cents a min??? That is CRAZY! I know from previous posts people have given numerous other methods that #1-don't require purchasing $$ equipment and #2-are under 20 cents a min. Is there something I am missing? Just off of the top of my head I can recall Sprint calling cards are one way...then I personally use www.noblecom.com and have used www.tel3advantage.com in the past. All of which are under 20 cents a min. Hope this helps or clue me in....please I don't purchase calling cards. When I call JA I normally just call from my home phone. It's not that bad b/c I don't call Javon often but w/my daughter going down I wanted a way for her to call me daily w/o putting us in debt. On average I pay about $300 a month for my phone service and that includes my landline (which I only use for long distance), my DSL, and my dish network. Tell her to buy the jus talk phone cards it's 5 cents a min and is rechargeable. How old is your daughter? For those who are interested in the MegaFone, they use either a sprint or verizon phone. Credit cost $1200 per month, you talk alll you want as long as you want. I have a motorola v3c and i call my fiance in Orlando at least 10 times per day, Maybe more All he does is send a text message and i call him right back. It's way better than 5 cents a min. Try it. I was looking at that same phone last night but can't seem to find one w/o a contract that's at a reasonable cost. No monthly fees, connection fees, whatever.....And, they charge you to the second instead of rouding up to the minute every call. We've had it now for nearly 2 years. Best thing I ever did. they have requirements & not everyone is eligible for it. Requirements? What are you talking about? they ran a credit check on me and they want you to have a credit card. they turned me down. Huh! The didn't do that on me. I do use my debit card for them to take it out of each month. They warn me about a week in advance what they are going to take out and when. Allright so I found an awsome deal on calling JA. For about 30 a month only unlimited. vonage do you have hi speed internet cable or dsl? Then this might be the plan for you ! How it works is you call and order vonage wright. They send you a box with just like the comcast box then you connect it to the router and hook it up to ur original phone. And most people get to keep there original phone number. So its not something were the other person would have to have internet. so you make the calls over the internet its call voip (voice over internet protocal). and the reception is clear and perfect and b/c u r making the calls over the internet you get the lowest rates in the world. You pay 25 dollars a month for unlimited calls in the US Puerto Rico and Canada. If you want b/c its the internet you can get a jamaican area code while living in the us. Do you want to keep your USA number?? Alright get a double line then one with your area code and one with a Jamaican area code for 5 more dollars a month. The vonge box they send you can be carried any where with you that you go as long as there is hi speed internet access. Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies, at home and a farrin' (Part 4)	has anyone here had a beneficiary family member try to get a travel visa to attend the wedding? we want his mom and sister to come, and it's time for me to write the invitation letter. if anyone has any tips on how the kingston embassy handles this i'd appreciate it. i'm going to try to research it now. This question has been asked several times and as I remember it was very hard to get family members to attend the USA wedding. That is why we got married in Jamaica. All the best of luck with this That suks lol i cant find a hotel well bucaneer i wonder what it looks like inside its by the dead end bar i should have booked my hotel long ago thats my fault on that one. For the past 7 yrs, we (me and my son) have been in Jamaica for Easter/Spring Break. This is our (just me and Craig--my son is in Ohio with my parents visiting my brother etc)..... our First Easter together. We're just chilling out by ourselves, since we never get much quality time together, just the 2 of us. Living here in our area --Ellicott City, Maryland....there's nothing but a few very small South African stores, but no Jamaican food, that I have found. I'm really going to have to check out that place on-line, Sams Market ? If someone has the website address again and post it, I would appreciate it. To drive into Baltimore or out to Silver Spring....??? Have a wonderful Easter holiday everyone!! I can't wait for that feeling. Its nice he is currently re-arranging the apartment i say what are ya doin he says im workin u will see when u get home and he calls and says um baby there are some clothes here that go to good will i say no we just went there he says no i think ur not going to wear these lol u will see hahah. We have food issues so far hes not liking much of the food the first nite we bought two meals first one he hated said what is this rubbish! it was cluck u chicken im glad i did not go fly with him it was even better to see him come thru the doors at the airport after waiting an hour and 15 min, the person that checked him in in immigrations was from portland he talked the man ta death, so on the ride home he was im amazement at how big everything was and the airport too and he approved of my driving lol he would nto let me drive in jamaica after my first drive of the rental car so now hes bored at home wants to work really bad hes stuck in the tv im sure he watch ten movies a day but i come home he says are u hungry and sometimes had food waiting i have to get used to that its wonderful coming home to him we still have our little tiffs but they are nothin like when we were apart i do think this process can put a strain on ur relationship we get along much better together his fam misses him alot they call all day he was pretty much the one holding everything together there so its alot of adjusting for him and them and he misses home the first two days were really great! u will never forget that the first week the first two days he just looked around the apartment sayin ahh i have my work cut out for me lol u have so much things i cant even think haahhso we go to MD this weekend and then he can try the seafood never had crab so this should be fun too and he can see diff state im looking forward to it i just wish it was warm out so we can go to the harbor i had to take a breather from VJ posting lol but im back here Isn't it just fantabulus to have them here...gosh mi still waan pinch miself more time..love it....Love, enjoy mi dare Kimmy i am everyday he says he feel like he in a dream but he awake he was happy abt the water pressure in the shower the first one he took he was all loud sayin wooo hoooo i love it lol im glad he finds some comfort of stuff hes a simple person hes not into material stuff or clothes i wish i did have a back yard or somethin so he have somewehre to go sit hes always outside in JA. just chillin we live in a downtown area so soon i hope to move i just have to find what state im goin to! florida, texas or back to md cus my mom sick so i dunno im confused ladies awww...how cute about the shower and wooo hooo! I LOVE it! You can always do short term in MD until your mom gets better (adding JaLove mom to the prayer list)...then both of you can visit florida and texas, then make a decision together. Take your time, talk it out, and make the decision together. yeh i do need slow down a bit im just anxious to leave jerzee !!!! yeh the lady was not listenin to me at all so i got mad with her! he was mad too so we left all mad ! but we soon simmered down. American just matched that fare they have 358.00 round trip after the 27th from Miami to Lima. When a child flies, the price that LAN/AA/Continental charge for a lap child is taxes only. That is requiered by the government and it is based on how much the adult ticket price was. For 358.00 round trips the baby tax will only be like 115.00. Spirit will charge that too, they just arent publicizing it. A baby traveling in your lap will not be free on Spirit or anyone else. The problem is on Spirit/LAN/AA or any of them, they only make like 25% of the tickets available in the lowest prices. I'm moving soon to Ft. It is dated for Sept 5 however its postmarked Sept 18 and is coming from DC. All this time i thought those letters are mailed out from Kingston. So this would explain how they get lost so frequently as they are coming from the states via regular mail. Also i notice it has my fiance's kids listed as traveling applicants but we did not apply for them so does this mean that if we want to change our mind we can? And if so do we let them know at the interview, we checked off NO that they would not be coming on one of those forms i filled out.
