yeah Digicel will NOT work outside of Jamaica. I think you have to call them prior to leaving for them to activate International Roaming, and you have to have enough credit LOADED on the phone as well if it's prepaid. Actually he did what you asked him to do Lita...call when you reach Ft. Lauderdale...not the airport in Jamaica. blush.gif innocent.gif

Good Morning Dear God;

Please bless our VJ family. Lord, thank you for showering Chris and Kim with your blessing on the birth of their baby girl. I ask that you watch over those who will following in their footsteps, bless them too. Lord, continue to help us deal with hour burdens, help us to get rid of the load Lord, help us to toss the load aside. Lord, please help those that are not feeling well and we pray for a speedy recovery. All these things we pray to you Dear God. Amen.

Ok I need some help helpsmilie.gif

Gill got me hooked on "Strictly Da Best" Cd's. They are fantastic! Anyways I really like this artist "Alaine". I want to get her CD but I can't find it on the net anywhere really. I found one copy out of the UK for like $28 plus a whole lot in shipping. How come the cd isn't available easier? Even her record label - VP records doesn't sell her CD on their website. What is up with that? Anyways - anyone know where I can get a copy that won't cost an arm and a leg?

Yes $3.99 WWW.AUDIOMAXXX.COM you can download it to ur computer and burn it or either have them mail it to u they have sale going on now i have her CD. I think shipping is free right now but not sure when that ends.

JALOVE - I'm not a big fan of audiomaxx. I've ordered from them once and received a CD that were burnt and not of authentic quality. BUT the price is right.

If anyone wants Alaine's CD straight from VP Records here's the link: Alaine - Sacrifice

I would second that.....While I can't deny I do download stuff, Audiomaxx are WELL known for taking artist's stuff, SELLING it on their website and giving the artist NONE of the royalities.....Even Vybez Kartel made a song dissing that site.....Hate them

wow really i had no idea sad.gif now i feel bad!!!

Except for a few trips to Margaritaville or Coral Cliffs, we don't hang out on the Hip Strip at all. Usually, we hang out at his yard, friend's yards, downtown, the ballfield and beaches in Whitehouse.

No not really i think we do have alot of jobs in my fiend in the MW though i chose tx as i have friends there since i lived there for a year and everyone was so nice so helpful there and friendly verrry friendly. And i can just switch to doin what im doing right now with not learning anything new. Then Florida because its tropical and sunny and i am missing that from jamaica. Then Cali for the same reasons and there are alot of jobs in my field there with my company Right now my goal is to save as much as possible im figuring GA or TX i can def do that. Oh and i love the homes in TX but FL has the architecture i really love. So far Mercedes homes are my favorite. We want to open a restaurant nothing really big but that is our dream right now smile.gif any ideas on startup costs for a small restaurant like a carryout with maybe 6 tables. Anyone been to Nyam and Jam in Mobay?? We want something like that, maybe smaller. Or like Frankies i think its called over by pier one right inside where the car wash is. Its very small.

Awww, Nyam and Jam. blush.gif You know I've passed it many times but never went inside. There's this really good Ital place behind the Mobay buspark though. Its this shack of a place where all these wierd little shops are, but the food is soooo hearty and the best soy carrot drink. That place has to be one of my favorites in Jamaica thus far. The food is good and not loaded with grease. It feels you up, but doesnt make you feel heavy afterwards.

Late night the rastas setup shop on some street i swear i could not tell u where it is but like after midnight maybe they start cookin chris always gets the veggie chunks with fried dumplings and i get maccaroni and salt fish. This is right outside not in any shop.

Ever thought about the mid-west? It's boring yes, but affoardable.

All of the ones i dowload or purchase via mail i have no problem with i throw CD covers away anyway:) i buy alot of mix cds from there and a few of the dancing DVD. Ive ordered from them about 8 times i know there are other sites ive come across ill have to go through my favorites on my computer and find them.

You know JAlove, this is a common myth about folks with California. This state ain't over crowded for nothing, lol. There are tons of ways to live good in California. Depends on where in the state you live. This state is so big and there are so many big cities with great jobs that its easy to find a place and fit in somewhere. If you want some leads just let me know. I must say that to start off in California...you have to start low and then upgrade later. So many people think CA is expensive cause they are trying to live outside of their means...but having property...ANY property in CA is a great investment. So buy low, and sell big.

i was thinking cali is a good idea if i must pay alot at least its beautiful smile.gif my girlfriend is from LA and she keeps telling me its like 1800 to 2000 just for rent im going to PM you.

I have never been to Evita's, but I had my wedding dinner @ Spring Garden Cafe. The food is great! The number is 795-3149. The restaurant is about a 5-minute drive from Evita's.

mrs. scott u are a gem. I wanted to post about the seafood place I had dinner, but didn't want to say, its off the other end of main street to the right. lol when we went there was a private party at the outdoor side. it looked nice, but we ended up eating dinner inside.

Thanks for the information ladies. I may have to try out Spring Garden Cafe.

Jengles...lol That place me be a little hard to find. What was it near? Any other stores or landmarks?

mrscott said that its on the bypass road between fern gully and the turn off for the jamaica inn

I struggle with this all the time! LOL Living in Pittsburgh is no cup of tea...especially in the wintertime but the cost of living is cheap even though our job market is still competitive because we're in Pennsylvania but reap the benefits of Philly being our "neighbor". Because Philly is a little more expensive than Pgh., the job market here pays the same.

My old apartment in Philly was about $1100 and that was back in 2000. I have a 3bdrm house in Pittsburgh, central air, garage and huge backyard and my mortgage is only $573 and i live right in the city in a decent neighborhood. That's always my dilemma with going somewhere else they may have more perks than a small city like Pittsburgh but at what cost? Trust me, I would love to be somewhere that's more culturally diverse but It's hard to leave when I have tons of extra money every month and can wipe out debt at leisure. wacko.gif

I'll be staying put until I know more about me and Dave's relationship once he gets here.....no need for both of us to be somewhere that neither one of us can afford! laughing.gif

Tonisha, you convinced me, Pittsburgh here I come good.gif If only I can find a job that is paying me what I am getting now with all the little perks. Let me see if any of the subsidiaries for our parent company is out that way! To have mortgage of $573 would be a dream here.

For real...I wanted to go south to get away from the cold but I'll be cold for $573.

For real good.gif I'll be an icicle for what 4 months out of the year for $573/mth for mortgage. And I can bet average utility bills aren't too bad and for sure homeowners insurance is a fraction of what it is here. My mom's insurance bill in total was over $4000 for the year and figure that with property taxes being about the same.

Hi Happy Wednesday! Do you guys know if there are any prepaid phones in the US where incoming calls are free like Digicel? Hope everyone is havin a wonderful day I just sent off the AOS stuff on 1/28 and the check was cashed today. I wonder how long the work permit will take Chris is dying to work. He has been in school for the last three weeks and loving that. I was feelin bad for him sittin in the house he was getting very depressed. Congrats on everyones approvals and interview dates! and all those expecting.

Hey JALOVE. I think 90 days from the NOA1 date has to pass before he can get his temp EAD...at least that's the way it used to be.

I hope its sooner smile.gif before he goes bananas. Hopefully we will be moving to a cheaper state NJ is way too high and i want to buy a house soon. Tired of renting. For what i pay in rent its well over a house note for a small one br apt.

Same here. Where are you thinking about moving to?

We were thinking about Atlanta but I want to wait until Damien gets his 10 green card.

My mind is all ova the place right now. Its looking like back to texas( dallas-fort worth ) area all i recall is rent bein 589.00 + 65 for garage and i miss that compared to my now 1565 starting in march sad.gif so ill be doing month to month till i get out. I dont want to suck into another years lease. GA would be nice and so would FL but i cant find any jobs in FL with my company other than sales and thats not my thing. MD of course also but that is almost as high as here my goal is to save and cut lots of cost.
