But I'm so very very happy for you and Fuat!!! Still no visa. I called my congressmans office on Friday but the girl who handles the immigration stuff was off until Monday so I'll have to call back monday. According to Montreals website the visa should have been here in 5-7 business days and we are almost at 15 business days. I did end up getting my monthly bill, but it is so weird that I'm still thinking I could be pregnant. I took a Pregnancy test on Friday and it said negative but I'll take another one in about a week to make sure. If it says no again I'll probably go to the doctor just to make sure that it's not a tubal pregnancy. I asked her how that could be since I was told last week and again yesterday that our visa had been printed, just not mailed. I'm so upset I could cry. I am crying, actually. Let us know as soon as you find out I am on BC, but I also missed a couple of days worth of pills right before he surprise visited me. There's a 50/50 chance either way but I wont be taking any more of those pills until I find out if I am or not. And I'm not even letting out a peep to him about it until I know for sure either. As bad as I want a baby, I don't know if I would say that right now is the perfect time. Mathew and I have ALWAYS been LD and I think we need some time together to just be married and together. Of course, if it turns out that I am we're going to love it and consider ourselves blessed because so many other people in this world can't have children but I would prefer to wait a bit. Oh, and I know that there's a website where people can order things from Canada that we can't get in the US, but maybe there' something like that for Turkey too? It could just be all the stress we've been under because of the interview and now his visa(which has still not arrived), but I'm feeling a little different than I was before. Her I-134 is in customs and she called Canada Post and was told that it was hard telling when it would be released and if they don't have it for delivery tomorrow morning they wont let her pick it up either. He has 4 children, and Paige isn't one of them. This makes me so mad I can't stand it. Out of sight really means out of mind for him. I sent him a message about it, but we'll see what he says back. If my mind doesn't change he wont be walking me down the aisle and I don't care if he even comes to the wedding. Why would I let someone like that give me away??? They want a letter from her doctor about it, but her doctor isn't in until MONDAY! Her interview is on TUESDAY. They signed some kind of form for her saying that it was okay for the consulate to overlook that, but that they will remove that if her doctor faxes that letter to them on time. So naturally she's worried to death about it. I just pray that she gets the letter she needs on time, or that if she doesn't, the consulate approves her anyway. I just love this guy and he did the flowers for one of the girls I work with, which were GORGEOUS. He took notes on everything that I said and promised to give me updates on what he finds so I can okay it. And best of all, he works wonders with what you tell him you'll spend. I told him my budget is $400, so we'll see what wonders he comes up with. I'm getting so excited for the wedding. Everything is falling right into place. I called again, and I didn't get the message that they were closed and when the lady answered the phone the first time she told me she couldn't find our case and then transferred me to NVC before I could get a word out. So I hung up and called back. The second lady got my case number and then she says "eww...are you sitting down?". My heart fell and I said yes. She then says "Well it looks like, and I'm sorry to say, that the visa has been printed!". I thought I was going to die!!! She was very friendly and nice and I thought it was so funny afterwards. I was cleaning out my bag just a minute ago and I noticed that the gift card holder for the gift certificate his job gave him to Baton Rouge was in my bag. I know that some of the Canadian VJers have had to wait like 2 weeks for their visa to finally arrive, but I was hoping we wouldn't be one of those couples. I should just be thankful that we're approved but the CO said that the visa would be mailed Wednesday and it should arrive Friday or Monday. Today is Tuesday. I got him to call DOS today and they said that a visa was issued, but there were no notes about a shipment. Seems kind of odd since just about everyone from Canada has their visa within like 3-4 days of the interview. Worries me a bit. Maggie you may have said earlier, but do you have a backup plan??? He works for Frito Lay and today is loading day(whatever that is) so he asked me to come pick him up because he has to leave his truck for a while. Well he text me and told me to come, and no sooner had I walked out the door did he call me and tell me nevermind that it's not going to take that long and he'll be able to get back to his truck on his own. I had already closed the door. Yeah, that's right. Locked out. I had to climb through a freaking window! I'm 5'1! That aint no easy feat! Plus I'm sure the neighbors thought I was breaking in. I am always so worried about losing bags, so I try to just carry-on as much as possible. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	The longest L and I have been apart, since we met, was 6.5 months, and it was really rough at the end. It wasn't our choice, either; we had applied for his tourist visa, and he was to come for a month in August, between his classes ending and work/school beginning, but his tourist visa was denied because apparently girlfriend trumps work and a free college education. I honestly don't know how couples who are apart for years at a time can do it. Wedding licenses where we're getting married (New Orleans) are walk-ins too. They're also walk-ins where I live (about two hours east of frenzy ). It's not that bad. It really isn't. We finished ours (except for the SSN, visa number, and I94 number) last week. But make HIM do it if you aren't ready to handle more paperwork. It'll take him no more than a day (and probably more like an hour if he has the VJ examples open in another window while he's doing them) to get all the paperwork but the I864 done, and I'm sure even with all the wedding planning and preparation, he can carve out two hours to do HIS paperwork. They're HIS forms, in HIS name and HE has to sign them. The only thing that has anything to do with you and requires your signature for the AOS is the I864. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	I just went to go apply for marriage license & was told I have to make an appointment first, so I said ok. Next available appointment is May 6th; it takes 3 days to recieve it & I'm not sure how long it takes to get an appt get married in court. The church ceremony isn't looking good because no pastor wants to marry me without pre'marital counseling, which takes 3-6 months.. Sooo, hopefully I'm not screwed. Kayla: I printed the papers for AOS as well and it's CRAZY! Wow...our marriage certificates can be gotten the same day. Why dont you call the county clerks office and tell them that you need a justice of the peace to come and marry you at a church. That`s what we`re doing, and we`re only paying the guy $50. His family is catholic and mine is christian so we didn`t even want to have to worry about offending someone. Or see if you can find a non-denominational person in your area to do it.
