Send package in Aug, they received on Sep 4th, 2009. So exactly 4 months for me. Took mine almost 10 days to get to me. Don't worry about it too much. But he wants a big wedding for all of his family to attend and my mother never really got a wedding, so I'm in a bind. But the more I plan it, the more I can envision it, and the more I envision it the more it makes my heart flutter to think of his face as he sees me for the first time when I'm walking down the aisle. I know I'm going to cry. I've been so emotional since he and I got back together. Any little thing makes me cry like a little girl. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	wow, little palm island looks gorgeous but unfortunately way out of my price range. sanibel island looks like a real possibility though - thanks for the suggestion!! i'm going to investigate further... your wedding plans sound wonderful! i'm sure it will be so beautiful there. Yeah I went back and looked at the prices of Little Palm Island. Goodness gracious that place is EXPENSIVE! Sanibel Island I thought was absolutely gorgeous and the prices aren't too bad either. Especially if you factor in all that it includes. My ceremony and reception sites cost me $700, but that was ONLY for the location. My wedding is going to end up costing about $10,000 when it's all said and done. Sometimes I wish we had just gone with some place all inclusive. But then I wouldn't get to bang my head against the desk trying to figure out what shade of purple I need to get my rose petals in so that they'll match my hot pink and light pink ones. I mean, really, who does this? I'm thankful that we've already got our big stuff out of the way. We've booked our honeymoon, our photographer, our reception and ceremony venue, we know who is doing our cake, I've bought my dress, veil and shoes, and with that AMAZING deal I got on the wedding stuff a while back all that's left to do really is nit-pick at all of the little things. One of the girls I went to high school with took her honeymoon there and it was absolutely gorgeous. Personally, I've never been to a beach, although I'd love to go sometime. Mathew and I are having our wedding at Cumberland Falls State Park and then renting a cabin in NC for a week. The cabin is above the cloud line and it's so pretty! I'm soooo excited! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	boo! seriously it is soooo quiet in here. i'm hoping it's just due to the holidays and not to a permanent thing. i miss my vj family! :-) today i am trying to finish almost everything we need for the interview. i'm leaving next saturday so I don't want to be worrying about stuff when i get home from work during the week. also totally nervous because i'm meeting his kids in person for the first time. we'll be spending the first weekend with them. i'm super psyched to finally meet them but really worried about communicating, since they speak no english. i've texted with them a few times and can speak spanish quite well when writing...but speaking in person conversationally to someone i don't know is hard enough for me in english - in spanish it's even harder! but i know jose luis is super happy about us all being able to spend some time together so i hope it will be good. :-) So when will be his POE? Have you discussed this yet? I'm super excited about your interview being so close!!! I'm about ready to resume my age-old pastime of sending out fingers and toes. He's my whole reason that my heart beats. I live and breathe to love him. But sometimes...things happen and he says the most insensitive things. I know that he doesn't mean to. The language barrier gets in the way. But my feelings still get hurt and I have a temper. Afterwards he'll always send me a big email about how he doesn't know what to do when I act this way, yadda yadda and it makes me feel like it'd be better if we weren't together. Then I wouldn't hurt him anymore. But he hurts me too. Neither of us are very good at expressing ourselves when we're hurt or angry. I just know that I love him enough to let him go if it means I wouldn't hurt him anymore. I'd walk through fire before I'd hurt him. A lot of my problem comes from our past together. We broke up once before because of a stupid girl that threatened to kill herself if he didn't. So he did and we were both tortured being without each other, but stayed apart for 4 years. You could tell when we talked that we really wanted to be only with each other. But now that we are back together whenever we fight my initial and immediate reaction is to leave before I'm left. What happened to me in the past hurt me so deeply that I'm still trying to get over it fully. The past is the past and I know that, but it doesn't take away the pain that I feel. But most of the time I'm happy and so grateful to be in love with him. It's only when we have arguments that things come back to me. It's like a panic attack, I can't describe it. But the wedding seems to be on now. I just got my shipment of 2400 rose petals in so I'm picking them apart as we speak. I left work early because I was so sick. I've been wanting wii fit for months now, and my mom bought it for me for christmas. When I started to play it the other night I turned it on and nothing, blank screen. Apparently during the power outage that we had my wii got shocked during a power surge and got bricked. Basically, it is what the name says it is, a brick. So I'm all upset and whiny because I'm completely obsessed with my wii and what does he do? Buys me another one. He knows how much I wanted wii fit and how upset I was over it, so he did the sweetest thing he knew to do. Of course, I'm going to sell my broken one on ebay and give whatever proceeds I get from that back to him, but still...he's just the sweetest. And that's it for my nerd love rant. One of the girls I work with has severe strep and even though I've had my tonsils taken out I still get strep. And of course I woke up this morning sick as a dog. I called and told her and she forbid me to even look in her direction. I guess I'll call and check on her every hour or so. Called DOS, finally got a hold of one of them, and no interview date. They did a scope on her to find out if she had any food lodged in her tubes or pouch, and they didn't find anything. Then today they did an upper GI to see if maybe scar tissue had grown around her stomach, and nothing. So her doctor has concluded that she's spastic and he's not letting her come home until they can learn to control it. But how can you learn to control something when you don't know what sets it off? She did nothing different from what she was doing when she was fine. It was sudden, like BOOM. But I'm glad we're making progress, albeit slow progress. I could barely make it home on friday. I think I left work at 4:45 and it was 10:45 when I finally made it home. My Kia spectra is NOT made for snow driving!!! So happy, at 1st I was like I'm just going to have a civil wedding but I thought heck no, so little by little I'm planning a small intimate wedding. Not sure if we're going to have a reception or go out to a fancy restaurant to eat. I am so excited that you found your dress!!! yay!!!!! Small and intimate is good. And I think your idea of going out to eat for your reception is a lovely idea. It'll just be you and your closest friends and family all eating good food and celebrating an awesome day! I'm going to Lexington on Friday, spending the night and my Aunt is going to take me to the airport. I always just leave my car at their house. So that means that my packing time is limited to tomorrow and Thursday. I'm the type of person that makes this huge list and has to check everything off at least twice. I had fought with this guy on the phone all day yesterday and then at about 10 minutes til closing he comes walking in, missing half of his teeth and with hair that hadn't been washed in days and freaked out on all of us again. But one of my maids of honor(I work with 2 out of 3, lol) knew him and she told him that he owed me an apology and sure enough he came walking over like a puppy with his tail stuck between his legs.
