I think that's a really awesome idea. I'll probably end up doing something like that. I can put the letters Mathew has written me in it and everything! You are often in my thoughts about this subject and I do hope and feel in my bones that everything will work out fine. It's true love, so it HAS to. If it didn't work out it would be like Beauty and The Beast never getting together. Not saying he's a beast, but that's like my favorite love story in the world. So on the way home I heard that Never Gonna Be Alone and I bursted out in to tears. I mean, I've heard the song, love the song, and even have it as my ringtone but for some reason it really hit me hard. I was thinking about our wedding day, and hearing that song in conjunction with it was just too much. I think it would be a very pretty song for me to walk down the aisle to(I don't want to walk down to the Bridal March since the play it's from had the bride die), but I wonder if I could MAKE it down the aisle if we played it. I would probably end up crying again. I'm such an emotional person since Mathew and I got back together. Before I never cried or batted an eyelash at sad things. And now the littlest thing makes me tear up. I guess love can do that to a person. Maggie, I think we can make it through one more month, don't you??? We're tough girls. We can do it! I bought us a big giant "G" to hang on the wall, and I bought one for his parents too........future new last name. My future last name is gonna be Gervais! Yay G's!!! For Christmas my aunt's mom got her these letters to stick on the wall that said "Always kiss me goodnight..." I definitely want that for our bedroom! I've never been so happy to buy drinking glasses in all of my life!!! I decided to start buying all of the little things we probably won't get at our household shower now little by little so it won't be so much to do when it gets closer. That's what sucks about still living with mom. I may not have rent to pay or anything, but we have SO many things we have to get before we can start a life. But I guess it's a fair trade, and besides, I get to be all moony and starry-eyed thinking about our future while I do it. When I went to Jamaica, we rented an apt w/ a kitchen and you should've seen how excited I was to buy a freaking broom! And food shopping, and somuch more..... Don't get me started I'm just madly in love and can't wait to be with my honey I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!! Just about my favorite thing to do with Mathew when I was up there(besides the ice pack thing ) was to go grocery shopping. It felt so good to do that with him because it's things that married couples do together. And the things I hate doing here at home I love doing for him. I love washing the dishes and cleaning the apartment made me soooooo happy. It's crazy and weird, but I just really really enjoy taking care of him. We finally got into the 50's today where I live in Florida. This is after my car was covered in ice. These things don't happen often in St.Petersburg Florida. Still 16 here today. I think I'd like some Bourbon! You know, I've noticed something. Canadian liquor is stronger than american. At least on somethings. I LOVE those Smirnoff flavored beer thingies. If I buy them down here I can drink like the whole 6 pack and not feel the least bit tipsy. But when I went to visit Mathew in November he got me some of the raspberry flavored(heaven in a bottle) and I could barely walk, lol. I would think that he put a little somethin' extra in it if it weren't for the fact that he's never seen me drink. but now that he has, I think he loves it. Let's just say he got a lot of added bonus out of it. Guess that means I gotta do a good drinking experiment. and don't complain about my ranting.. you've all done it.. and some of you owe me drinks because of it Give me another week and I'll be throwing another crazy fit over the fact that Montreal hasn't even batted an eyelash at our file. At this point I'm just scared to death that we wont make our June wedding. I look at all of these other peoples timelines that have been waiting for a long time and I think that it really WAS true when kjenkins, Jenn and I had the conversation about the faster the approval is, the slower your journey will be. I need him like I need air. I want him to come home. I guess I'm just in a really lousy mood today. His grandmother died last night and it's killing me that I can't be there. I swear, if there wasn't so much snow I would probably be on my way to him. It breaks my heart that in a time like this, we're still separated. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	I called the National Visa Center today and they finally gave me the Havana Case Number and with it I called the U.S. Interest Section in Havana and they gave me the interview date for March 29. The NVC said they had received our file on January 7th (we were approved on the 4th), and that they still had it. I asked them when would they be forwarding it to Havana, and the lady said it was hard to tell and asked me to call towars the end of this week. I'm planning to call on Friday again just to make sure they already sent it to Cuba. I'm praying to God that it won't be put in administrative review!! It's important for you out there that are planning on calling the NVC to actually speak to a living rep, and not just go by the automated system. Even today when I first called it said the NVC had not received my file, but when I actually spoke to someone they told they've had it since January 7th. So, definetly their automated system is not up to date. Later! They don't log K-1s in their automated system. It's not that it's not updated, they just don't log us. I'm going to get Kenyth to call back and see if we can find out if that means a march or april interview... because if it means april or later I'll have to reschedule the wedding =( PS I am happy that I at least have a range now of when I am possibly interviewing lol.. its just so many people have to travel from different states and countries, so they need to book their vacation in advance I called them today and they had no information for me. That seems weird what they told you since our Packet 3s were logged on the same day. Seems they should be scheduled together, you'd think. What did you ask for when you called them? He kind of giggles at me when I complain about things here, because it's always way worse there. While I'll be complaining about our 8 inches of snow he'll just tell me his parents in Rouyn-Noranda have like 15 or 16. Show off. I may name the kitty VJ. It's actually kind of cute! Kitty Poo is the princess of the house. She HATES other cats. I'm hoping if she gets used to this new one, then introducing her to Mathews cat wont be so bad. But otherwise we're gonna need to wear like body suits and hold up couch cushions to shield us from the flying fur. Poor fat kitty doesn't even know whats coming to her. I moved to Florida for one reason and it wasn't to see all the bad drivers haha. Hopefully everyone is doing well. On a side note I like cats and dogs got two cats and one dog. I had to bring in all my plants and cover everything else that I wanted to keep alive. You should try being in Kentucky right now, then! It's not been over 15 degrees in about 2 weeks. Namr her VJ! Oh my goodness! You need to meet Mathew's kitty. She's been declawed so she's SO not scary and all she wants to do it love on people. My kitty could give a ####### less as long as you let her rub on you once in a while. I never seem to get cuddly animals. All of mine turn out to be all "blah screw you". Except my dog. There's been this cat getting under our house and for some reason we didn't really think anything of it, thought it would go away. But because it pushed open the little door under our house our water line froze and we were without water for like the past 2 days. We've now sealed off the door so the cat can't go back under there, and so it's been hanging out on our porch all day long. It was STARVED. I didn't know it had been living under the house, I thought it had just gotten under there once or twice and would go home after it left it's little playground. The poor little thing is still sweet as can be though. She hasn't been really well fed wherever she's originally from, and she doesn't act like she's gonna go anywhere. I've called all my neighbors, which are actually my family and they said it's not theirs. So I dunno. Maybe Santa left me a late christmas present!!! But if it stays kitty will need a name since I don't know what it was called before. I'm thinking maybe I'll call her Mittens since she's got 3 white paws. I'll post a picture of her if I can get her to stay still for more than 3 seconds. All she wants to do is love on me. I love kitties!! Meanwhile, I've moved Kitty Poo in the house so that she wont get jealous of the other cat(and so the other can eat). She seems pretty excited to get to sleep in my bed, lol. But Maggie is right, legally you aren't supposed to enter the US with the intent to marry. From what I understand it would have to be a whim kind of thing. Like if Mathew were to come down here and we just up and decided that we wanted to get married. That's not my style. I'm a planner by nature. I wanted to say something else but completely forgot. Jenn: I know what you meant, just wanted to pick with you! For me it wasn't an option because I can't fathom the thought of being without my husband. I would rather be apart while engaged and know that on my wedding day, I will never have to be alone again. I honestly never even considered anything other than a K-1 for that reason. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	I understand that only Montreal and Vancouver have the staff/training needed for K1 Visas. I also know that at one point the east cost of Canada, in Halifax, had a medical office too. There probably isn't much demand coming from the east side of Canada, hence the closure. I also undersand being short staffed, over loaded, etc. Why is it that when Montreal or even Vancouver gets so backed up (5-7 months worth), why the other consulates in Canada, i.e. Halifax, do not have one or two people who are already trained to transfer the work to - this way Montreal can hire the staff and train them and they still wouldn't be behind as much. I'm not harping on Montreal or the great work that they do, don't take this wrong. I know other people are waiting a lot longer than me and for their NOA2s anymore, and I am grateful that I have been getting processed as quickly as I am. I guess I'm just getting worried because I stupidly booked a wedding too early even when they say don't plan anything until you have a visa in hand - so my own fault of course, but I didn't expect Montreal to get so behind =( lol - anyway - Heres hoping for interviews coming out of the wahzoo for us all! Amen, sister. Today makes a month that Montreal has had our case logged in their system. I don't understand how it can be so difficult to bring someone over here on a K-1 when they're from Canada. Canada and the US are like BFFs. We have slumber parties with Canada and paint their toenails. This should NOT be that hard. I just want my interviewwwww. And for some different lady to answer the phone at DOS whenever I call. She knows my voice now. She has actually said to me "Talk to you tomorrow, bye bye". Was extremely funny, but sad that she actually DID talk to me the next day. One little Canadian. That's all I want. Just one. They wont even know he's goneeeeeee.
