Mariel, this is Pink's husband: I just wanted to tell you something. During my years of Latin study I learned an old Latin proverb, "To err is human, to forgive is divine." Today you may hear alot the first part of the saying, "To err is human," in describing how someone has just made a mistake. The actual point of the message though is in the (mostly forgotten) second part, "to forgive is divine." The definition of the word divine: godlike; characteristic of or befitting a deity: divine magnanimity. Chin up, young lady. Don't listen to ignorance, babbling, or otherwise things of a not-so-divine nature from cruel and insensitive people on here. YOU ARE ONLY HUMAN. Make your human mistakes. God has given you that right. Men (and women) who attempt to take that from you are battling God himself, and as I have said before, will face him (again I wish them luck with that). We are here to try to help you overcome those human mistakes and make it through this visa process, ergo this forum. Until the admin. sees fit to put an end to these ignorant fools (who seek to better their lowly standing in the world by ridiculing others) just sift through them and find the information you need. We will always be here to help you if you can get past the drivel of these morons. Good luck to you in your visa endeavors.

aaawww.... thank you so much for those wonderful words...Pink is such a lucky girl to have you (and Pink as well)
Well, I know that we dont have tostoop down to their level but sometimes you have to let them know how foolish they are to act that way.
I know GOD is the only person who can judge them. And I a came to realize that those people who dont have anything to do but to bug and annoy other people...are people who havent found LOVE IN THEIR HEARTS, COMFORT AND SATISFATION WITH THEIR LOVED ONES....that's why they try to divert all their Loneliness to people who are happy and make their lives miserable like theirs.

BUT SORRY TO TELL YOU (whoever you are) I am much happy with where I am now and WHO I am with...so don't bother messing up with me again....I can ignore you..but if you ask war, il give you one!

here's my question: im so stupid to overlooked my ds 230 form.

1. I had a mistake writing my husband's birth year (instead of 1982 i put 1980) = can he just change the last number?

2. I overlooked questions 21a and 21b...(so, no answer) = can he just answer it for me?i know it wouldnt be consisted with my handwriting) but will that pass fro NO RFE?)

*** is it bad to have a little corrections with the number. Sorry, i know how stupid I am to make this mistake.
My husband cannot give me answer coz im the only one searching for answers....i just can't sleep.

He will be deployed early next year and i truly want to be with him this year and hopefully by September 22,2009 (1st Wedding Anniversary)

Thank you for spending time to read my message

thank you for ur opinion.. AND GOD BLESS EVERYONE yes.gif

I don't think it will be a problem. I petitioned a filipina back in 2004. to make things short, things did not work out, she went back to the phils. But to answer your question, her interview took place on Friday, we were there late probably 4-5pm at the embassy (the last to leave, and one of the first there). At the finish of the interview, the consulate had asked if I had made travel plans, and I said yes. I was to leave the following saturday. She received her Visa in the mail Monday morning! I was impressed. I would certainly not expect it to be that quick, but I really do believe you will get it a few days before your departure.

Good luck on your interview.

Hi Diane,

Please help me with this. I need to do it asap.

We have known each other for 6 years na (although we`d only been together in person for less than a hundred days, haha!) , we noticed lots of differences on how we do things... so here are the few things I can remember for now...

1. I use fork and spoon when eating while he uses fork and knife (see topic forum Filipino foods that my fiance kano doesnt like)
2. I use tabo at sabon (water and soap) after using toilet he uses tissue.
3. I remove my shoes before going inside and around the house he wears shoes inside the house.
4. I don`t give tips when eating in restaurants he always does give tips. Haha!
5. I don`t always follow traffic rules when driving (here in Phil, it`s just a suggestion, hehe) he does follow it and they`re not just rules.
6. I enjoy doing things for him (ironing his clothes, putting food on his plates or just being maasikaso) but he doesn`t like it. He prefer doing things with me (laundry, cooking, etc).
7. I don`t say thank you (salamat), excuse me, and other polite words that much but he does say those most of the time. Haha!

I am sure there are more that I forgot to list here but I want to know yours...

Looking in your timeline.. you are not yet in the US.
But once you are hear..
1. make sure that you follows the rules in driving, else you are endangering not just your life but also life of other people. You have to unlearn some of your driving behaviour from the philippines.
2. And you need to learn to give tips.. mostly 15% of your total bill

Just few tips for your US transitions. smile.gif

pansin ko yan d2 masyado cla strict sa rules i asked hubby kung hanggang ilan ang speed limit nila d2 he said 80 mph wla dw daan sa US ang pde lumagpas sa 80 khit sa interstate kundi...ticket ang katapat mo mapapansin mo hinahabol kna lng ng DMV at take note nde pde ang lagay d2 unlike sa pinas daming kotong cops biggrin.gif

Hello,

I am a newbie here and hopefully can get responses to everyone. I will have my interview on June 22, 2009. Hopefully if there is anything you can add on the documents that I am preparing please let me know, so I could be reminded by it.

I have 2 folders with me, first is the folder for my partner fiance and me. This includes: Affidavit of support, ITR 2007-2008, W2 2007-2008, recent pay stubs/ earning statements, divorce papers/marital settlements, bank statement/checking account. School documents since he is presently a student.

His other documents: birth certificate
in case in case: co-sponsor paper (I know the USEM is not accepting it, but this is just for a secondary purpose for a special case, we'll see)

My papers: Forms DS-156, 156-k and 157, appointment letter, St. Lukes vaccination worksheet, birth certificate (NSO and city civil registrar), NBI and police clearance, certificate of birth of my kids (NSO), Annulment papers (finality, registration and annotated MC copy from NSO) employment papers and school papers.

The 2nd folder contains all the proof: boarding pass/ itinerary on the 1st and 2nd time he came to visit including receipts and cruise tickets), emails from 2006-2009, chats and logs, phone records, global remittances, snail mails, and photographs of my partner and me, my partner and my family, my partner and my kids.

I guess that is it. Please, if there is anything that I miss, do tell and I appreciate all of your efforts in reading this thread. Thank you and God bless!

~Phoem

Hello,

I am a newbie here and hopefully can get responses to everyone. I will have my interview on June 22, 2009. Hopefully if there is anything you can add on the documents that I am preparing please let me know, so I could be reminded by it.

His other documents: birth certificate

My papers: Forms DS-156, 156-k and 157, appointment letter, St. Lukes vaccination worksheet, birth certificate (NSO and city civil registrar), NBI and police clearance, certificate of birth of my kids (NSO), Annulment papers (finality, registration and annotated MC copy from NSO) employment papers and school papers.

Philippinesis there anyone who got a copy of their results of medical exam from St. Lukes?
QUOTE (mikeandjoana @ Jun 18 2009, 01:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I just want to ask if there's anyone here who asked for a copy of their medical exam results from St. Lukes? Is it possible? Because I am contacting civil surgeons right now and I was asked to show them a proof that I already had the HIV test, etc. before they can transfer my vaccination summary to I-163. If I will not be able to show it to them I need to undergo the tests again.

I am just so upset coz Ive called so many civil surgeons already and none of them knows the correct procedures, even if i am already reading the instructions to them they still cant understand that if you already had the tests from ur foreign country. There's no need for me to do the tests again.

So, confusing!

im not sure about medical exam results but they gave you a medical record

for me i went and get an SSN before i got i married (advised by the one who organized our paper)... but its all up to u also. just dont let your I-94 expired coz u might end up getting after you get the GC... good luck!

Ganun ba yon? This July yong expiration ng K1 Visa ko which is naguguluhan ako kasi May ako na-approve, I thought its 6 mos upon visa approval.

So kapag nag-expired na ang K1 Visa ko which is yong I-94, makakakuha lang ako ng SSN kapag dumating na ang GC ko.

Thanks for info. smile.gif

6 months ang expiration kung nde kpa umaalis ng pinas but since u got here na 90 days lng ang validity ng visa mo at kapag nag expire na at nde kpa nkakasal they will send u back home

Hi!

Ask lang po ako kasi yong wedding ko sa August 8 pa.

Pero we're planning to get my checking account para meron na akong bank account kasi I can't have check cash kung wala akong bank account. We're thinking na baka needed yong SSN sa pag-open ng account.

What would be better, kuha na akong SSN ngayon or after na lang ng kasal namin. Then, saka na lang din ako open ng bank account.

better to wait until you get married kesa mgka problem ka nman magpa change nung name mo sa ssn like yung isang vj member need pa nya i report yung marriage cert nila dw sa local office yta yun kung san sila nkatira

One of the things she needs to bring is something called an Immigration Data Summary for US Bound Emmigrants; however, no where do the instructions tell us how to get one to fill out. Can anyone help with information on this?

K1 applicants doesnt have the Immigrant Data Summary wink.gif
