Need help!!

I worked in japan 4x and my contract last for 6 months...I read that in K visa they need to get a police clearance once they work outside the country for 6 months and need a police clearance for non K visa if they lived in other country for more that 1 year...my question is we are in CR1 visa do i still need to get a police clearance??i want to know because getting a police clearance in Japan Embassy takes a 1-3 months so i want to make sure that i have my requirement before the interview...

Yeah I was talking to Mhay about the CFO seminar there and she said that with the CR-1 visa that immigration will "watch" her and make visits to our house to make sure the relationship is real. I kinda laughed at that one. Really, how many people have had immigration come to their house to check up on them? :blink:


if im not mistaken thats for K1 and not for CR1 they have to make sure that those in k1 did not get married for visa purposes only im not sure if its really true tho

Thank you everyone!! Sorry I havent got a chance to get on here sooner, but my work was really busy and I got home about 45 mins ago...had to eat first.

Well, she passed and got the PINK SLIP!! :dance: :dance: :dance:

I got the txt around 430 my time...so she was back to the van by 830 PI time. She said they let her inside the embassy around 6am. I only talked to her for a couple of mins, but she did say that she wrote down all the questions in between times of waiting. She took a small photo album that she made up from both my trips and they kept that along with about 5 cards from the flowers i was sending by island rose. (she still has plenty of them :blush: )

Mhay went to PRISM to do the CFO seminar today too. She just texted me saying that she still has individual counselling left and that she is hungry...it is lunchtime so I guess she would be pretty hungry.

I guess all the worrying I did about the AOS was not needed. She ended up paying 247 pesos to air21. Now I have to get her a flight and a little time off so we can do some shopping when she gets here in anchorage. I can relax now! :thumbs:

well, I just talked to Mhay...she is in line at the embassy now. She just had her mom take her cellphone back to the van. It is 530 there now and her interview is at 0715...so I probably wont have any news until about between 10 and 12 her time depending how many interviews there are this morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed that all the stuff I submitted to the NVC made it to the embassy and it is all correct. The NVC didnt look at our stuff because we were expedited through the NVC. I have no doubt Mhay will shine at the interview and we have quite a bit of relationship evidence. I am just nervous now...I can imagine how nervous she is now. Now to wait for the good news.....PINK SLIP hopefully!!

I need your help guys!

My husband called and asked me to get Certified Copy of my Passport!? I don't know if there is such thing as passport certified true copy. I already sent him scanned copy of my passport. However, the tax guy told him that they need a certified copy and not just a scanned copy of my passport. Geeezz!

Anyhow, he needs that copy for filing taxes.

Does anyone here knows where to get a certified copy of passport? I haven't heard it before.

go to DFA to get a certified copy of your passport your husband is gonna file for his taxes jointly and since you dont have SSN yet a certified copy of your passport is needed

hi vjers my visa was approved in april 27 how long does it take to get the visa?i live 20 minutes drive from the embassy.people who lives in cebu gets their visas in 2 days..when i tried the tracking numbers at air 21 it says nothing..so im a lil worried..does anyone know how long it takes to get the visa?? :crying:


there is no specific time or date for the visa it doesnt matter if you live infront of the USEM some got theirs in just 2 days some in 5 days, some in a week or 2 dont worry too much you probably get your visa by next week

dang! where did u get the $650? i thought its only $545 ($465 plus $80 biometric service fee) unless they increased :unsure:

IDS is for immigrant only k1/k2 doesnt have one

its not CENOMAR anymore its Certificate of Marriage FYI: Cert of Marriage and Marriage Cert is different i know its very confusing :bonk:
