I am the BOMB of a mom, btw. We went to see my favorite local band on Saturday. I turned my daughter on to them last year and took her to one concert. Saturday night we saw one of the band members in the smoking area. Molly got her picture taken with him. We worked our way up to the stage during one really opening horrible bands performance (picture lead singer........a 4 foot Mad Max look alike that shrieked the entire time. UGH!) She got to talk to the lead singer of fav band who was in the roped off area. During show, lead singer (who is adorable) slapped her hand. She turned around jumping up and down and blushing and said "I'm never washing this hand again!. She caught a guitar pick during show. And, after, my friend, Walter, who owns a CD store here, introduced her to a couple of other band's members who were hanging around, and then took her to meet fav band. She got autographs and pictures. She was in heaven.

Would've been the perfect night if the truck wasn't dead and we had to have it towed from Illinois to Missouri and then repair on Sunday.

Molly's still talking and her friends are all soooooooooooooo jealous. Maybe I can score a really good Mother's Day present this year!!!!Posted Image

Yes you are the bomb of a mom! I think you did score that really great present this mother's day, I am sure Molly will be talking about it for a long time.

Its reminds me when I was 8 or 9 and New Kids on the Block came to Miami , my mom and my best friends mother took us and even though we didnt meet them we had awesome seats and geesh we talked about the concert forever.

They interviewed that partner this morning. He is freakin' hilarious.

I'm with you Always on Greys. I am really getting into Private Practice though.

I like Private Practice too. I am a little tired of the Baby saga though, I missed last weeks episode and didnt DVR it so I am going to try and catch it this Thursday.

Hello ladies. Tee said I must come on here cause you all are not sarcastic enough.............

It was just a rough week last week. Having an arm problem and while they try to figure out what it is, I'm driving around like a fool and feeling like #######. Tendonitis maybe.

So, what the hell did I miss. I need a recap cause I sure as hell cannot read all those pages.

Welcome back JG !! Hope that arm and you feel better quickly.

Does anyone watch Dancing with the Stars?

NAT: Girl, I tried those Morning Star BB burgers...................and they are DELICIOUS!!! I love them, I'm taking them for lunch tomorrow

I usually watch it but I am not to thrilled with the people this season for starters Kate Gosslin (Cant stand her ) and Pamela Anderson (I mean really she is a absolute disater) . I did she a clip though that Kate made her partner quit LOL but eventually he returned.

I do not know maybe it is just me but even American Idol sucks this year, alot of the shows this season really aren't cathing my attention.

Greys Anatomy I used to never be able to miss a show now it bores me and I can carless about it.

HMM Maybe since hubby is here now he is more entertaining

I have eaten the pasta my aunt eats. We have holiday dinners together so its always a vegetarian gluten free type thing. :) It took her along time to find the food she likes. This pasta she orders from Australia or some $hit.. I just reallllly want to take control of my food intake. I need it to be healthy. I need the stuff Tierra eats to be better for her.
She even has special bread and pizza stuff.... but I will move in baby steps. :)

Do YOU like it? I wonder if I have to go to Whole Foods to get Irish Moss? I can't wait to get my book.

The baby steps are the best way to start. Good Luck

Good Morning...

I was thinking about you MrsTee.. hope this person smartens up soon.
Dinner looked great!

My Aunt has a gluten allergy so she orders wheat free pasta. I am going to start using as well. I will have to make GLUTEN FREE, MEAT FREE parm... LOL... I wonder if it will still be good!! LOL

So... I am sure you all remember me complaining about the noisy people upstairs. Well even after letting the landlord know several times it isnt getting any better.. Louis and I are looking for a new apartment. I really like where I live so I hope I find something soon in this same area.. with HEAT included for Louis.. we would go broke if we had to pay for heat!

Shanette... what is hubby's fave juice to make?

Hey Irie,

One of my Best friends has Celiac Disease and can only have Gluten free products , I have tried some of her gluten free stuff I can atest the pizza is great the cookies are good and there are a few other things I tried to that aren't to bad but some of that stuff is gross.

That's the same thing I did & told them exactly that. Our appointment was for sometime in January, but we walked in on December 23. We had to speak to the site supervisor to see if we could do the walk-in & she asked why. I told her because I was off that day & wouldn't be off work on the scheduled date. She checked the # of people waiting and it wasn't that many, so she said okay.

I think Quana or Dillon walked-in & was told to come back later in the day. It's def worth a shot.

Thanks for the replies

What method do you use to steam meat?

Basically just season up then throw in a little water and butter, cover the dish and let it steam

I want to try an make plantain porridge now. Hubby said he wants me to cook for his friends in JA so they can see that he's not over here stuck eating only American food. I was like I'm going to be on vacation so no cooking for me. lol I don't know if I can get away from it though. It's so different not cooking in your own kitchen. My rice and peas came out great last night.

Hmm Plantain porridge I haven't had that yet, Sounds kinda good. Glad the rice and peas were great, I been wanting some rice for a minute now and Hubby doesnt like rice to often so I have to wait til he is in the mood for it.

MrsTee, now that I think about it I may have addressed the check to USCIS too. Hmmmm.

I just ordered "The Rasta Cookbook". I also wrote down a few recipes I found online.. Plantain & Coconut sauce, Ital Curry and Sesame Greenbeans. Louis and I are going to try and move to a more strict diet. Less processed foods. I need to cook more. I want to eat more raw veggies and fruit. I have a kick a$$ juicer I never use. I really want to start.
Summer is coming and I want to feel better. I need to cut out the wheat too.... I CAN DO THIS!

Good Luck with that I bought a Jack La lanne juicer about a year ago used it maybe 5 or six times it is awesome when I use it but for the most part it just sits on the counter

Hi Always...glad to hear you had a great weekend. The weekends are never long enough...we plan to stay here in Atlanta for Easter. We're going to my best friend's mom's church for service and then we're going to have Sunday dinner. Easter is one of my favorite holidays!

I second that... :bonk: Dills bad girl!

What church do they attend? Is it one of the big churches out there Creflo Dollar? I been wanting to go to Lithonia to Bishop Eddie L. Longs church. You are exactly right the weekend is never long enough and always seem to go so fast.

Good Afternoon!

MrsTee.. what are you worried about? I didnt catch it.. Sorry.

For Easter I am hoping to go kite flying on the beach. We used to do it every year when I was a kid. We would get a new kite from the Easter Bunny. So last year my brother, sis in law, neice, mom and Louis, Tierra and I went. It was so fun!
Now this weekend is supposed to be sunny and warm.. Looks like we could make it happen again.
Going to do an egg hunt for Tierra. She is too old now for the community one.. I love that she still loves these "little kid" things.

Awe that sounds like so much fun. I havent done that in years,I wonder I can get my hubby out there to fly a kite may have to try that.

Today is a ugly day here in Florida the heavens opened up and my God the rain, thunder and lighting is nasty oh well later in the day it should get a little better so they say.

This weekend my husband and I adopted a new baby (3 yr old pitbull) he is a big ol baby only aggressive around male dogs LOL he almost tore up this little one on our walk but that little thing didnt back down either.

I also met up with momto2(Tanya)and her kids it was a really nice meeting her. Then hubby and I just chilled, watched movies and walked on the beach.

Anyone have any Easter plans???

JQ Smiley Boom, I see you figured it out.

MrsTee, how do you feel about the situation?

Somehow, midway through the day, I got a sharp headache. It makes it hard to focus on work or anything that involves thinking. The pain medicine isn't doing anything, so I'm trying green tea.

That reminds me: A few weeks or months ago, we were talking about home remedies & someone (Dillon?) suggested that if you have a cold, put vaporub on your feet b4 going to bed. I tried that last week and it did seem to make a difference (but it could've been the Nyquil I took at the same time).

Hope your head feels better, I need to try the vicks tonight I feel like I am coming down with a cold

Quana do you have a digital tv? I am not sure in your area how the cable works but I have been told and tried it here in Lauderdale with Comcast basically I pay for one cable box and the other TV in the house as long as they are digital if I went back into the main setup screen and click find channels I was able to pick up alot of the other channels other then basic cable just not HBO, Showtime, Stars
