K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Enough Time?!?	I filed my petition nearly a month ago with 300 days until my wedding date in November. Yes I'm taking chances but as some have advised here, see if you can place refundable deposits and/or apply any deposits you do make to a future date if it needs to be moved. The three of them told me that age was not an issue. I am waiting for my NOA2 at any moment now. I am confident that my fiance's interview will be ok too. Since I have an iPhone, I could send print screens of Whatsapp conversations as well. The only thing that's important is that the evidence should be clear and understandable and print screens are perfect in my opinion. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Some K1 questions	Hello All I read the immigration discussions on VJ around 3-4 times a day and sometimes people confuse me! We already sent the I-129F package 4months ago and since I'm really precise, I was 100% sure that we didn't miss out anything. But when I saw other people's own checklists, I got confused. - I am the beneficiary, the foreign fiancée. I didn't have to send my birth certificate, did I? - What about the petitioner's financial stuff (taxes, bank accounts, etc)? We didn't send anything like that either, I thought we needed it after the NOA2. - And do you guys know anything about Vermont Service Center? I know it's quite "fast" now, it takes around 5-6 months until the NOA2, is that correct? - I know it's different in each country but is it okay going to the interview without my fiancé being there? - Which language do I have to use at the interview? Now can you enlighten me on the DHL thing - specifically what will I want to put in for the EXP line with the date of shipping? Do they all say "EXP?" Thanks in advance!   I'll pay your later... ;-) HEHEHEHE   Now, let's see.   Say your petition gets shipped today (11/23). What you would enter is: EXP 22 NOV 2013A (I found that to be the case with mine).   As for the date range, change the "FROM" to a few days before the actual shipment, and leave the "TO" to the actual day's date (it should already be that by default).   Make sure you put "United Kingdom" as your "Shipment Destination", mine would not return any results without it.   What is the code for London? Do you know? If so, you can start playing with the CEAC website.    ***UPDATE***   Curious me went to look for what the code is...and it's "LND"   If you want to waste some time playing with CEAC, look at the latest numbers being processed at NVC and then backtrack to see who's ready, who's in transit, and who's at NVC. Also bear in mind that a few of those from my "batch" of the 18th are still sitting at the NVC.   Try LND201382600X (where x is the sequential case number assigned to your petition). #1 for instance, is "At NVC". These are cases created on the 326th day of the Julian Calendar (11/22)   Hope this helps, if only to kill time while you wait! LOL   Just got the text/email - approval received!!!!!!!!!!! I will definitely enjoy Paris.... it could not get better Paris, with my fiance on a new plane ( I love planes ) haha.... yay!!!! and the icing in the cake will be NOA2 haha... chao!   We just sent an email to the IV Unit in Naples. I know it's a Friday and that is already 4.27pm, so perhaps we will have to wait until Monday to have an answer, but what the heck, if you don't ask, they can't say yes (or NO!), so here we are, trying!   I love planes too!!! The more I fly on them the better, especially if it's for vacations and NOT work! LOL   Yes, a NOA2 in Paris, how romantic... ;-)     Nikkosan- How long do you think it takes from notice of shipping to NVC that NVC receives and can give us the case number?      10 calendar days in our case, from the 8th till the 18th of November (we called the DoS on the 19th, and I was able to establish it got there on the 18th because of the case number we got). I have been on the German Swiss side of Europe... haha... so I am excited... my fiancé loves it there.... bring it on!!! haha... I would not mind more miles on AA... haha...   You're gonna love it too.   Paris was one of the few capitals in Europe I had never been to; I just thought it was going to be "meh"...Boy was I wrong!!! It is an amazing city, great transportation (watch out for pickpocketers though, I got my camera stolen, and I consider myself EXTREMELY street-savvy).   Make sure you have plenty of Nutella & Banana crepes for me as well!!! Road vendors are relatively inexpensive and they're all yummy!      Nikkosan- You were right! Sorry to all if I have been complaining too much. We suddenly just got the notice of shipment to NVC! We are so happy. It came in while we were talking to each other on the phone and we heard our phones ping! Hurray! I'm sure we will receive a few updates from you as well REAL soon!    Are the 'NVC received' and 'NVC left' information obtained from the USCIS website using the receipt number of the NOA1? Nope, you need to call the NVC, or even better, DoS. You will be able to know what your case number is, and whether the petition is at NVC. With that case number, you can then go on the CEAC Visa Status Check website and see when your status changes from At NVC to In Transit to Ready! ;-) You will also be able to guess, through the DHL website, when your petition gets to the US Consular Post.    I am super sure of that!!!! you guys will feel so much better.. haha.... I fly late Friday so I will be in Paris on Saturday...... at least I will be relaxing for two weeks without thinking about USCIS... or least try not to.... haha.... I am sure your visa will be in hand before the end of the year.... yay!!! I have spent about half hour playing with the DHL website. Just a word of advice for those trying to get their "Waybill #": make sure you select the "Shipment Destination", as not doing so may prevent you from locating your package. That's exactly what I did, I tried first locating ALL shipments and I could NOT see one shipped to Italy, after 5 minutes of playing with the system, I went back and selected Italy from the menu, and guess what, it worked!!! Just to make sure my theory was correct, I went back and tried with ALL shipments, and once again, couldn't locate mine. You can bet we will be following all of those steps (of course a bit different as we are going through the London embassy; have to check on when to schedule medical, etc.). At this point, though, we still did not get the notification it was shipped to NVC, so that is really annoying me! I am hoping it is this week! Long story short, three days before us is already IN TRANSIT, and 4 and 5 days before us are READY for interview at the Consulate!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Same Sex K-1 I-129F Filed	I would personally give them another week.   Have you tried to do a research according to RFE and date of NOA2?    For instance, the last couple who received NOA2 in Italy had an RFE on 10/29, their answer was received by USCIS on 11/05, and they finally received their NOA2 on 11/15.   Hope this helps. Do you schedule the medical now or wait?   Hey Davesings!   Feels good to have put another dent on this immigration monster!!!    Our next step is to wait for the CEAC update to say "In Transit" so that I can go on the DHL website and attempt to locate the parcel, and then wait for it to say ready, so that I can send the "Applicant's Statement" to the consulate in Naples and have the interview scheduled (in Italy, it is the consulate that schedules the interview for you). As for the medical, it is done on the day PRIOR to the interview (this is specific to Naples, other embassies/consulates have very different procedures).   Also, another couple asked me privately how did I know our case was at NVC and how did I get the Case Number so I thought I would share my experience here with you (I owe this to the many VJers who went through this before us).   What we did is we called the DoS number at 202-485-7600, and waited less than 3 minutes to talk with a live person. They asked us for our receipt number, and then for my name and DOB (I'm the beneficiary), and then my partner's name (no DOB).   We told them that we had a NOA2 dated Oct. 25, and that the case was shipped to the NVC on Nov. 8 (we received a USCIS status update for that).   The person asnwering our call was extremely polite and helpful. He gave us the case number without even asking, and afterwards said that if we wanted to know if the case was shipped to the consulate in Naples, we had to call the NVC.   I just checked on the CEAC website and it says our petition is still at NVC.   I had to make a change to the timeline, I first said today, but it was really yesterday, as the CN digits tells you when exactly the number was assigned (see this thread for that: http://www.visajourn...interpretation/). Did it get to Italy already?   It's been 25 days since we received NOA2, and we're not even sure it has reached the NVC (from 11/8 when it was shipped). We will be calling the DoS this evening to ask, and hopefully, if NVC does have it, also get a case number.   I honestly hope you get yours too, and that your transition to the NVC is a lot faster than ours, so that you can catch up with the rest of us who filed more or less during the same time.   Gabriel and I just received notice that we were approved today.  56 days from our NOA1.  I think a 50 lb weight just got lifted off my shoulder.     Congrats, guys!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Same Sex K-1 I-129F Filed	TSC sent our case to the NVC on November 7th.  I called the NVC today and they gave me the case number.  The status when I checked the case is "At NVC".   Congrats! Ours was sent to the NVC on the 8th, but as of the 15th of November, NVC did not have it (we sent them an email, and that was their reply on 11/15).     Congrats on getting to NVC...We are still waiting for that, hopefully this week!   When was your petition sent to NVC, Davesings?
