Congratulations Moh!! I really am so happy for you. I wish so much that my husband was getting the same call.....(Cairo embassy)

I really need some encouraging words sad.gif I am so down, and so discouraged with this whole situation. I can't find anything that brings me joy now. I feel like I was so pumped when we found out that his interview was scheduled so fast after he sent in his paperwork. (I need to create a timeline). Then he had the interview, and we were so expecting they would keep his passport and that he would receive his visa maybe after a couple of weeks. Didn't happen.

The thing that makes me feel so bad is that EVERYTHING I have read about Cairo depicts them as the slowest consulate for processing. I honestly don't know how I will go this indefinite amount of time without him. I feel like I want to give up my home, pack all my things and just go to him, but I know that is not the answer. He has a good job, but you know the economy is different there, and he would never be able to support me. He has no A/C in his home, and I would die. Also, I have an 8 year old daughter who requires special care, and has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for the last 3 years, so I can't just leave her and there is no way I can move her to Egypt.

I just feel sick about this, like I want to cry all the time. I have an attorney, who is paid in full and offers no help or suggestions. I basically could have done this on my own. I just feel so bad, and when I talk to my husband every day I am reminded of what terrible working conditions he's under, and that makes me feel worse. He doesn't complain, but I know him well enough to know he's miserable, going to work at 7am and sometimes not getting home until 11pm.

I just feel so helpless, and feel like this nightmare will never end.

He has no criminal record, and fingerprints came back ok. I just don't understand.

I feel the same way a lot of times too, I can be happy and normal. Then I just feel that it's all a nightmare, Just do my best to make it through every day. rose.gif

Thanks ladies for the encouragement my husband appointment is May 20; I'm so scared, all I think about is will they give us the visa? Will they ask for a waiver? (Husband got volunteer deported on 12/2004) I personally hire an experienced lawyer to prepare my waiver package; The I-601 is filed after my husband denied a visa. (she recommend to wait until visa interview)

I swear I'm going insane, I'm a strong person but for some reason right now I feel so weak and sad! I 'm sorry to ramble about this. I better go to sleep, good night sad.gif

don't know what it is, but lately I have been feeling really sad. I'm not sure if it is hormones or what. I feel like crying. Nothing really seems to make me happy. I keep trying to figure out what is wrong with me.
I don't know if it is the waiting game. the uncertainty of approval. being tired of my current life. I know I haven't been waiting as long as others and that I have a long way to go. But I am really tired of all this. crying.gif

Things haven’t exactly been easy for us. Frustrations have been the name of the game lately, but like we’ve made it through before, I know we can keep making it through. I know we can get everything we want out of
life. It might take a while, but we can do it.

God I miss my husband every minute helpsmilie.gif

Thanks Zarqa...I e-mailed the embassy when I saw your post about your case arriving at the embassy. They told me they didn't receive it yet, but that was a few weeks ago. I e-mailed them Monday and told them I have an interview date and was checking to see if they received our case...so we'll see if I hear back from them sometime.

I check in DHL your case by the EXP 28 and 29 April but is nothing there wait until tomorrow remember you have to give sometime to DHL to update the system with the new tracking numbers , because when I put 27 I can see NVC packages but not from 28 or today just wait until tomorrow yes.gif

Right now am checking the trip for my husband from Barcelona to Madrid for the medical exam smile.gif he work all day and the language don't help, thanks god I speak Spanish and I can do everything from here

Question....I am trying to find where someone posted how you go & track when your case leaves NVC and goes to the embassy. I thought someone posted it on this thread a few days ago but I can't find it. NVC told me that my case was forwarded to the embassy yesterday (April 28). Can someone help me track it???? I appreciate it!!

Amanda inshallah this help

* 1. NVC sets an appointment date for you and sends out your package to the US Embassy.

If you're really #######, paranoid, or just a busybody, you can track the package status. You can use the date after your interview was assigned, as the tracking reference date, and then do a search on DHL. The format to use is "EXP 07 OCT 2008A" don't forget the spaces...and to set the date range on the tracking page. The website for tracking is. http://track.dhl-usa...?nav=TrackByRef The package may not go out on the next day, but the reference code will still be for that date. When your package is able to be tracked, it will make more sense. You'll see a list of packages going to different embassies. You'll know which one is yours.

This the way I track my package and work for me, I called Madrid Embassy after I saw my package arrived and yessss my package arrived that day show in DHL

Shokran Zarqa...I tried this and it says shipment not found. I used EXP 28 APR 2009A....since it was sent yesterday maybe I should wait a day? I was just curious to see when it arrives. I'm just so happy we have an interview date!

you case and mine was complete the same day, base in what Iread here you have to go by that day, mean you filed arrived the day I told you before, send an email to the embassy in Amman and ask if you filed arrived, I don't know if they have a working phone number that you can call for questions like in Madrid, is a little different each Embassy, because for my brother in law his case was in Amman and we been waiting for a visa interview day, I sent an email to let them know he will be 21 years old soon and he will need to have the interview before his 21st birthday and they reply to me.

send an email

Thanks to all of you. I am really hoping that I can find a way to work this out so we can get the clearance they want. I just wanted to check with those of you who have gone through the Amman embassy about the police clearance. I thought my husband was supposed to get the police clearance from the police station so that was what I had him do even though he has technically not been in Jordan a year yet so he didn't have to provide it. Well, the only RFE I got on his whole DS-230 packet was the Jordan police clearance. Apparently they want one from the General Intelligence Directorate which I never saw anywhere I looked on the websites but maybe I somehow missed it. Anyway, he went down there and tried to get the clearance but they refused to give it to him since he doesn't have residency. I am waiting now for NVC to decide if they will waive it on the grounds that my husband hasn't been in the country a year yet.

This is what the RFE said:

Jordan: Available to resident Jordanian citizens and foreigners. The General Intelligence Directorate (GID) is responsible for issuing good conduct certificates. They are considered to be reliable, but cover primarily security-related records, i.e. not necessarily criminal information. These certificates must be applied for in person at the local GID office, and are valid for one year. It takes up to two weeks to obtain the certificate from the GID. Foreigners must reside continuously in Jordan for six months before the GID will issue a certificate. There are no procedures to obtain these certificates through Jordanian embassies in foreign countries.

This is really frustrating that they are doing this. If they really require this I have no idea how I can ever finish NVC.

what you can do is send an email explaining what is the situation and why you need it ..... that is all I did

Ours was returned because I guess they didn't believe our relationship was real, it has only set us about a year plus back in starting our family but they have been put to shame. You'll be alright.

Hey, We have been returned also, April 28, 09. I spoke with USCIS and NVC, Monday, neither place has our case, or so they say. I spoke with my Senators office yesterday, they were calling today to USCIS to see where it is. My case worker at the senators office told me 2-4 weeks for the case to physically get to US. Well its been 6 for us. So we wait for the call again. This is so frustrating.
Rachel

My case is back with USCIS I guess was fast because I been calling everyday and went to my Congressman and Representative, today I called the department of state and they told me my case still in Madrid and to send by fax more evidence, the visa specialist gave me the fax number she was very nice maybe because I don't stop criying and just right now I got this.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresShould I now file for a 129F since I130 is delayed?
QUOTE (Jennie Hassan @ Aug 29 2008, 02:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Alright kids I'm fed up with this ridiculous waiting for an I-130. I filed in January this year and to keep things simple I didn't file the I129f. Yeah yeah stupid and lazy on my part. What's the verdict should I file a 129f next week or what? Vermont is killing me! Or should I try a transfer ro CAlifornia? I am so confused and tired of this. We all waited 2 weeks for the update on processing times and I'm sure we all screamed in frustration when nothing changed. All my sympathy to all of you. Jen

That's what i will do next week, we are in the same boat, I filed in May 21 and until now nothing happen, but I'm sure soon you will recieve the NOA2, and I think is up to them to transfer your case to California.

Then what do you call people who choose to enter into a situation without reasonable expectations and who lose patience easily?

I think it is reasonable to expect slow processing times. I do not think it is reasonable to expect the processing dates to go backwards. That's just crazy!

you right canadian wife, I was waiting maybe to see the same processing dates, but backwards? come on helpsmilie.gif hire more people , fees been increase

as i mentioned in my other post:

these dates really are a joke...i dont really buy any of it...these dates are just a cushion for USCIS employees just so when someone calls yelling at them they have something to back themselves up....why else would u think that the dates are either one month or fifteen days backward or forward every single time...its very clear that they just come up with these dates speculating by either one full month or half a month....folks, please dont bother urself with these dates...they will only drive u crazy.

Oh my god crying.gif you are right cmnb, I won't bother myself anymore with those dates, I just wake up everyday to USCIS site, for almost 3 months (I'm in Spain with my husband and not working) now I'm going back to the states and I will be working and try to be busy other way i will be crazy headbonk.gif
I will log in once a week in UCIS site ohmy.gif
