Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionVSC
Hello,

I'm about to mail off my I-751 petition off to the Vermont Service Center. I live in Florida. My question, which address do I choose the Physical, P.O Box, or include both:

This is how it is listed:

USCIS Vermont Service Center
75 Lower Welden St.
P.O. Box 200
St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

Also it's best to ship FED EX right?

Thanks

Naah No need for tabs (probably mini sticky notes). You can write the #s etc on the bottom of the documents on the same sheet. For example I sent my Mom's Marriage Certificate as requested on a seperate petition and the photo copy has no room at the bottom SO i wrote the case # on the Side of the paper where there's always a white part when a photo copy if made or paper gets printed.

Oh ok, I never thought of post it notes. Thanks again

ok anything else let me know.

Thanks another question. How do one make the tabs stay on the actaul docs? I apply tabs on a stack of evidence at the bottom but it keeps dropping off. Do you put paper clip over the tabs as well? I didnt use binders.

Ok, Thanks

yeah that be a good idea JUST Incase any documents gets mixed up can be paired back with the case However, is not a requirement for document submission.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC procedure after submitting DS-230
QUOTE (ketan128 @ Mar 12 2008, 03:00 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I called NVC about Ds-230 and what document needed.
Following is the list
1. DS-230 Part1 (Signed) and Part 2 (Not signed)
2. 2 Pictures of 2X2 size(write case number behind picture)
3. Passport bio-graphic page(Copy)
4. Birth Certificate (Original)
5. Marriage Certificate(Original)
6. PCC from District Police Station(Original)
7. PCC from Passport Office(Original)
Write case number on each page of documents. Put barcode page (page sent by NVC) on top of all this.
NVC operator told me that I will get all original documents at the time of interview at Bombay, India
And he also told me that we don’t need to resubmit all this document again to embassy or VFS (VFs is
Accepting all the documents on behalf of embassy before interview)
So after sending DS-230 to NVC we just need to wait for interview latter. And complete Medical.
And go for interview……that’s a procedure right now for CR/IR category
Please update this if I put something wrong in this talk

I sent the documents without writing the case number in each page crying.gif I called NVC the operator told me is OK, they do that in case they misplace the documents. I don't know how come I miss that headbonk.gif

B. Give USCIS a passport-style color photograph of yourself and a passport-style color photograph of your fiancé(e), with both photos taken within 30 days of the date of filing this petition. The photos must have a white background, be glossy, un-retouched and not mounted. The dimension of the full frontal facial image of you and your fiancé(e) in separate photos should be about one inch from your chin to the top of your hair. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print the name (and Alien Registration Number, if known) on the back of each photograph.

WHEN YOU READ THIS THE FIRST TIME...I SEE THE WORD :"A" PASSPORT-STYLE COLOR PHOTOGRAPH...ETC...........................THIS "A" MEANING JUST ONE.......

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaHello I'm new.
Hello Forum,

I'm new here. I introduced myself in the General Introductory Section and someone kindly directed me to post here. Well I'm a female, Jamaican. I just became a citizen June 14th of this year. I am married, my husband lives in Jamaica. He doesn't have a visa. I just completed the I-130 application and will mail it off tomorrow ( Monday). I am also going to file for the K-3 visa. I really hope that I get a receipt letter before the fee's increase. As mention in the other forum I found all my answers to unanswered question prior to filling out the application. This is a great site. Very informative.

I have a question. This is my first question. I wasn't sure if I could use a PO Box on the application as an address. So I used my physical address. Unlike the application for Naturalization, they had a mailing address section. Is it possible that I can contact the service center to update my add to my PO Box? And if so should I wait until I receive an receipt letter of the application, which sounds more logical or can I call before hand and let them know? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

She wants to know what are all the necessary documents she needs to bring to the Medical Examination and also what size photos does she need to bring. Is it the passport size or Visa size? I'm in the same process of petition for my husband but I haven't reached this far, as my time line shows, so I do not know. Could anyone pls give me some advice on this matter as her appt is near.

Thanks is advance.

Small world, that's the date of my husband's interview laughing.gif . It is the passport size photos; from what I see on the form she needs 4 for the medical and at least 1 more for the interview. My husband took 12 to be on the safe side laughing.gif . Good luck to her on the interview.

Ok Everyone,

I have called the NVC and spoke to a supervisor who has told me that interviews for KGN are still being schedule as of today. I told her that last night an operator read my the script that KGN interviews have all been schedule and we were not included. She told me that the operator was mistaken. Now I don't know who is playing but at least I have some hope as I could not sleep last night.

Lets all pray for some good news this week.

Same thing happened to me as well, lastnight I called and the rep read a script and said the month of July was filled. However, not too long ago, I spoke with a rep and she told me that they are still scheduleing and I should call back at the end of the week. I truly dont want to wait another month to find out if/when we get an interview. Lets see what happens by the end of this week. I call everyday regardless they say call back at the end of week. You never know. I'm too anxious now.

Tash; the message did not change until weeks later. It only changes when the case is shipped to JA. You have to call and talk to an operator to find out if you were assigned a date. The automated system does not give that info about the interview date. From case completed to case sent to embassy the message does not change.

I wish you an Kishmar both good luck with getting an interview date assigned for August since you both had your cases completed in April.

Everyone....please do not forget about me. I am still waiting also crying.gif

Oh Forbes crying.gif I am sorry. Good luck to you also.

I just called the NVC and was told that they are scheduling interviews for Jamaica this week. I hope you all get an interview date assigned this week---Tash, Forbes and Kishmar--all completed in April..

Hoping for an interview date assignment this week. good.gif

Claire;

My girlfriend case completed March 25th (still no RASS date)...and her HUSBAND is being a total A$$ not supportive at all. I tried to talk to him while I was in Jamaica and he telling me he has needs. I told him he needs to think about what he says before he opens his mouth. Now, she's having second thoughts about their marriage.

Oh that's very sad with your friend. I really hope ours (all whom awaiting a date) don't stretch that long. Some excuse he have and a poor one at it. So what if he's a man, women don't have needs too? Still I wish all goes well for them. He seems very stubborn. Who knows.... things happen for a reason.

I talked to NVC yesterday. They said that KNG has been so backed up lately that these past few months they have not released many dates at all. I tried to ask how many dates are released per month and the lady says it just depends on how many kingston feels they can take. So it always changes. And if Lawny was right about over 200+ interviews the other tuesday well that is ALOT! So who knows how many people are in front of us. As a CR1 we are behind alot more than othrer visas cause our case is not at the embassy yet. So when it comes to CR1 visas its all out of order. lawney has a friend waiting since march!? Thats crazy, its been 5 months for that poor couple.

Exactly Lita;

And her (forgive me) DUMBA$$ husband is not support her through this. I talked to him until I was exhausted. He's so friggin ignorant it's not even funny. I did my best to explain the process to him and he telling me rubbish about "he's a man"...he's a man and he has needs. Another thing Lita; It was so many people there on the 24th. When I called to make Marcel's medical appt. the lady was like June 24th is going to be a very busy day at the embassy. When we had our interview all windows were occupied. The only thing that pissed me off was that the closed Section B so, the people could go to lunch. I was like this is unbeliveable and the woman came back and cleared the 10 people that was standing there. We were in the front of the line. Girl, it's just nuts. I feel it for those still waiting.

QUOTE (Marlita @ Jul 8 2008, 03:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
The system will not change until after you get an interview date assigned. Since NVC schedules CR1's they have to assign the date before they send it to embassy. I've seen that it could take a couple days after the interview date is assigned for the system to update and change so its best to just call and speak to someone, or wait til you hear it changed. By the time its changed your case is probably well on its way to Kingston.

All Kingston interviews are assigned throughout the month. For whatever reason they dont seem to follow that 2nd week thing...go figure. Many Yardies have bee getting dates throught the month so its a ####### shoot to figure when they will actually assign it. I do know that there are still dates open in August and there have not been as many deliveries from NVC to the embassy in the last month or so, so thats good to hear. Means that their may be less cases getting sent to the embassy and backlog can easy up a bit.

Good Luck to you and I both!

Ok thanks for the explanation. I feel better. Best of luck to you as well. Oh will be attending the interview? I'm not certain as yet.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaInterview Date Assigning...
Hello my fellow VJ’ers,

Well the time is here again, the second week of the month – Hotting up our heads again awaiting to see if this time around, for those with approvals in April will be granted an interview date. So far I haven’t spoken with a representative, I just listen to the automative service and it still hasn’t changed – Stating my case was approve April 15th.

My question is this, before we get an interview date, shouldn’t the system state that our case has been forwarded to the Kingston embassy? And since we’re approaching the middle of the 2nd week and I have not heard this, is it still possible that I will get an interview date? Or it’s when we get an interview date, it’s updated? I don’t know the procedure, just going by what a friend of mines told me. I don’t quite remember when her case was approved but she did tell me shortly after the 8 wks was up, she checked the automative system and it said that her case was forward to the Kingston Embassy. She said she didn’t talk to any representative. Then she said about 3 to 4 days after that the system provided her with an interview date.

So could someone please clarify, those who have their dates/already finish this process, to us who are waiting an interview date. Did the system first provide you with the info of your case being sent to the Kingston Embassy first before getting an interview date? I’m scared right now to call and even ask them that question.

Hi Trelawny, like everyone has mentioned, I think it's a personal thing. However, many still follow the traditional way of taking the husbands lastname. I decided to hyphenate both of our lastnames. It's LONG, but I myself dont want to just drop it. I'm so happy all went well for you and Hubby to be on the interview. When I read it, I was shock how the interview Lady was so disrespectful. But you stood up to them and triumph. You're good, lol. I couldn't do what you did. Well, Congrats again and I hope you have a beautiful wedding and a long/happy life together.
