If you have paid attention to this post you will see that there is chunk of time usually monday through thursday during work hours where the bulk of the conversations take place. It is easy to find responses to posts. By no means are we to follow a pattern to appease one person expressing concerns. As I said you may certainly post here and get good feed back, but this is what this thread is. Try another thread if you are unhappy with this one. Sorry for the way you feel. most of the discussions in this thread are K1 related.

good.gif Well said, dear!

MightyMints, Personally I find the distraction quite bennificial since I'm going out of my mind right now waiting... Good luck to you, I hope you get your NOA2 soon!!!

If you are 132 days, that means I am 135ish, LOL. But who's counting? I feel it too, we are so close yet so far. This week flew by and I really thought I would hear something this week. Oh well,,,it's not over yet. Hang in there! Maybe something is in your mailbox~

I am bored as well, but my boss keeps making me do stuff. Very frustrating. I wish the massge parlor was still open. I could get some stress relief. diablo.gif

If only you had known about it last week....

It's not that big of a deal. I was approved and we will still get the interview soon. The NOA2 is needed for AOS and that's why I am hoping to get it soon. Just for peace of mind. They simply forgot to send the NOA2 when it was approved. I'm sure after they look into it I will get it in the mail. I am not going to do any info pass or call them on it. I will wait until they figure it out. After 30 days I will call them if I have not received it. It shouldnt stop the process at all.

OMG you are so calm and level headed. I think you'll make a great husband!!

Good morning everyone!!!!!!!!

Congrats AG. Now lets get everyone else theirs NOA2's.

Little update from yesterdays excitement. It was not nearly as sordid as I originally was told. It was not a human trafficing ring. Although there were some illegals not forced prostitution. Basically there were three girls working and a man who was their boss. It was a massage parlor that offered a "happy ending." Sorry I tried to soften that as best I could. The officer filled me in after he gave me back my dictionary.

Ooohhh ok. Well that's kind of boring. Just kidding. smile.gif At least there was no human trafficing....

I work in social services and people trafficing is so much bigger than most people realize.

nora I work in social Services also, how difficult is it to get a job in this area in the States??? would appreciate any advice. I have my BA Degree from Ireland would that be beneficial to me in the States? star_smile.gif

Oh how cool! There are tons of social service jobs in USA and it's been my experience that if you have worked outside of the USA, as you have, they like that even better! Is your school US accredited? If not, it totally depends where you apply. If you are applying for a state or federal job they might have you get your transcripts converted into the US equivalent. (don't worry, they will tell you where you need to send your transcripts to get this done) If you are applying to a grass routes organization or non-profit organization, it might not matter. It just depends how they are funded and what their funders requirements are. For example, I work for a non-profit organization, but my position is state funded so I had to meet all the requirements for a state employee which besides my degree and experience included a local and an FBI screening, a drug test, and a credit check.

Have you already done a search in the area that you'll be living for SS organizations? When I was returning from Peace Corps I researched every organization in South FL (which was where I wanted to live) and sent them each my resume and a cover letter that also told a little about myself via e-mail. I was still living in Belize at the time so I told them when I would be returning and that I was available for a phone or webcam interview . No one hired me until I was back in USA, but through this I made alot of great contacts, and even one that connected me to the job I am in now.

Another good resource is Careerbuilder.com . You could see what is in your area and although it's too early to apply you could at least get some ideas. When you do start applying, apply for jobs that you might not think that you totally qualify for. You might be surprised. The trick with Careerbuilder is to apply for as many jobs as possible because less than half of them will respond to you.

Good luck and feel free to PM me if there is anything I can help you with!

but the bad thing is that if they claim not to even have worked on it yet....it takes another 1-2 weeks in the mail sad.gif i dont kno how much we hav to wait

We have to give each other encouragement or else we will all be laying in a crying heap eating icecream and chocolate! Everyone here keeps telling me that maybe it's already in the mail and that they just haven't updated the online status yet (This happens alot). This past week has been really hard for me too, seeing all the approvals and not seeing my own. But we are so close!! We just have to stay postive and it will happen. star_smile.gif I promise! I'm going home now and will check my mail box. I'll report back if anything is there. smile.gif

yeah ur rite....but some days are more frustrating than others...

wish u luck good.gif

Thank you and hang in there. Nothing in my mailbox today. Tomorrow's a new day though!:)

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Newbie AP Blues...
Thank you for all the support and honesty. I appreciate it and pray we will all be finished soon.

I am confused by something- Allousa, you asked me about a waiver in rome? That just threw me into a panic because I have no idea what you are talking about- could you please tell me what this is? How would we know if we have a waiver, and if it is in Rome??? Is it good or bad to have this?? Also. you said about 4 years, so does this mean you are finally together???

We had our interview a month ago. I was there with him. The CO said everything looks good on their end, but it required additional processing in Washington DC before the visa could be issued. They assured us that this was normal. They asked him some additional questions at another window, and gave us a paper on how to check our status online, at the AMMAN website. The paper said it would take an average of 5 months, but could be more, could be less. The paper also said that once the website said that AP was complete, we were supposed to send that letter plus his passport to the embassy for the visa.....I just assumed it's security checks since he comes from one of the countries on the "T" list.

Gaeliza, when you you left the embassy in June, after the interview, with the passport, at that time, did you know it was in AP? Did they tell you they were sending it to Washington DC? So did you actually get stuck in AP twice??

Thanks again for your answers and support. xoxo Nora

My fiance got AP after our interview. He's been on it for about a month now.

For the 1,897,655th time I checked Amman embassy website in the AP status section and this is what it still says:

Consular Section, Visa Case Status
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your Passport Number is: Jxxxxxx

Case Status: Your application is still pending administrative processing. Please check again at a later time for further updates.
